Is there any plans for making PRO/NC better like Creo got better from Wildfire -> Creo? I mean Creo feels much more logical and modern compared to Wildfire. That was a good overhaul wich wich made work much simpler overall. But I just came back to try Pro/NC again, been using fusion 360 for a while and have not used Pro/NC since WF4 release and that was just hideous.   Some things are better in Creo Pro/NC but for the most part, it just feels like a CAM application from early 2000. There are not alot of post processors for machines. Seams like there are no post processor that post in heiden dialogue code at all? Simulations are HORRIBLY slow. Do I need too keep track of what material i removed by myself? This seams like a BASIC feature of a CAM program. You still get into the roll down curtain menues from time to time in Pro/NC, they are a nightmare.   Basically, im just woundering if there is any plans in overhauling Pro/NC and making it usefull? Or will it always be this

we moved from WF to Creo last year I have many times used a feature in WF wherein if you are breaking the material in volume milling with a step depth, I would remove the last second slice so that the final cut will have the end mill below the end surface for clean cut I somehow not able to find a option to do that in Creo If somebody knows please help...    

Hello guys, I have quite a trouble with Automatic Workpiece in Mold Cavity. I just cant choose any units in offsets. I have no idea why. I did some googling but couldnt find anything usefull. Do you have any advice? Thank you very much.

I am having an issue with G83 on my post. I am trying to peck drill and the post will give me the peck on the first hole but not the following holes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

We are currently moving to color coding and peper less design, and we already completed adding colorcodes in standards items in EMX10_M100 and this will be applied in any new mould design. Is there a easy way or workaround to remove the existing colors in previoius designs and add new colours from EMX (mainly on Mould Plate features).I was looking something like what is available in creo manufactuing volume split.(ie. what ever color we add in the parting surface, one regeneration entire colors will go to blue).Any help will be much appreciated

We are using EMX100_M010 currently, and added/updated some standards in our components library and updated setting files in config folder .Now we are planning to update to EMX100_M012. what is the procedure or safe way to update the files in new (EMX100_M012) folder. We don't want to loose the bug fixes.

I seem to remember that it was possible to use EMX functions (such as adding screws) with a standard assembly. Can anyone tell me how to activate this?

Until EMX 10, the part selected in BOM it will directly highlight in Assembly, and it was a good option to avoid confusion and quick checking. But in EMX 10, we need to double click the part to highlight in assembly. Is there any way to set this same as EMX 9.

Dear All,In PTC Creo 3.0 Launch Presentation from June 17, 2014 Brian Thomson announced that New basic capabilities from Moldex 3d will be embedded in every seat of Creo Parametric. I have installed Creo 3.0 M10 and there is no such analysis. Only what i can access is 3d thickness Check. I was told that i need to buy PTC Creo Mold Analysis Extension, why if they said in every seat?. Please check PTC Creo 3.0 Launch Presentation at time 34:28 Where Brian Thomson said " every body gets it". I was rely looking forward of this functionality. Did i missed something? I replaced a model in my manufacturing assembly and I was able to get all the sequences to work but when I try to save I get an error message. Says model not regenerated. This is my Regen manager. Looks like the first sequence is missing but I don't see any problems in my model tree or the sequence. Can anyone help me get through this?   Thanks   

Worked fine on M130 but after upgrading to M160 the fixture vanishes when starting an operation in Creo NC. Very inconvenient since the fixture has a set of coordinates I need to use and I cannot select it. Only thing I see is the model and the workpiece. Only way to get it back seems to be close the file and reopen it.

Just downloaded and installed Creo5.0 hoping to get started with the new HSM machining,  But it is nowhere to be found ? Did I miss something with the Installation or is it missing from the first build of 5.0?

I have one issue left to resolve in a post that I am writing for a dynapath control and was wondering if anyone knew the answer or had any ideas.When running a G73 breakchip cycle, the dynapath needs the peck depth "K" and also how far it is going to retract after the peck "Q".  I was able to set the K value under motion, cycles, cycle deep setting in GPOST, but I cannot seem to find anywhere to set the "Q" value, that sets the retract distance in the G73 cycle.  Any ideas?This is an example of how the code should look, but I am unable to get the Q to output."G73 X2.0 Z5.862 K0.1 R9.2625 Q.01 F5.5"

Hello, we copy our 3D-Tools into the Tool Setup.In the most cases we can reload the tool several times and the parameters that we have changed keep stand.But sometimes the parameters (for example diameter) will changing.Have anyone an idea why this happens or doesn't happens?Thanks a lot. Regards Bernd   Here an example: Diameter was manuell changed from 46 to 46.1111. If I reload "by copy" a second time the value  keep stand. But this behave is not allways, sometimes it changes.

We are developing a post-processor in Creo 2 (G-Post) for generating a tool vector NC file. Some case studies are planned; one example is impeller machining. Tool paths are created in Creo 2 manufacturing suite (video 1). Kinematic workcell model was configured (including travel limits for linear and rotary axes) and Machine tool simulation was done (Video 2). Complete tool path was verified in Vericut for material removal simulation.     (view in My Videos)

I am experiencing issues while processing NC programs using the Production machining extension. Small parts work fine, but large parts with complex surfaces, such as molds and platens for seats (~6" x 26" x 26"), cause the system to slow down incredibly. There are occasions where it takes hours to run a material removal simulation.    Is anyone else doing this type of work using the production machining extension? If so, what are you folks running for PC specs and do you have any other tips?  Thanks, Philip
