need to know how to change output to diameter in X vs. radius. 

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0I would like to add opskip to my posted files. This would skip nc code when the block skip funtion is turned on at the cnc machine. It should insert a / before the lines of posted cnc code that I want to optionally skip. I need to know how to drive that into my programming. Thanks

Hello All, I design cosmetics packaging & tooling with Creo. We are looking to purchase a new 3D Printer (ours is cheap and prints with voids in top, flat surfaces). We are looking for roughly a 10" bed max and looking to keep the price around $1000, but can go higher if it means better precision. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Hi,in manufacturing when I use the material removal simulation, a std.out file is generated in the working directoryIt also does this using Creo Parametric with default settings, and it is not possible to delete it while the program is open.I thinks in previous versions of Creo Parametric this file was not created.Is this normal or are there any setups to fix?Thanks Attachments file

Hello,   I am programming large components using the Prismatic & Multi-Surface Milling and Complete Machining options. I am very close to the z limit of the machine. Retracts are a problem. I have a few questions if I may: 1. I am programming a 3 axis conventional milling sequence. Is it possible to use a retract plane that is not       perpendicular to the tool centerline? 2. I have tried setting up a cylindrical retract plane. Is this allowed with conventional milling?I have read the help on this topic. I can define a cylindrical retract surface in the operation but not in the sequence. 3. If the retract direction has to be aligned with the tool centerline is there a way to limit the retract distance by defining a distance from the machined surface (following shape contours) at all locations - let's say one inch? Thank you,Barry Parker

Dear community,I want to know if it is possible to export stochastic lattices in 3MF format?On the CREO support it is indicated that it is possible to export in 3MF lattices with a simplified representation and a circular cross sections (which is the case for stochastic lattices), but it is impossible for me to export them in this format...Thanks in advance for your answer

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150DXF Exports are not opening correctly in PCB makers' software. Another client was able to export it at M040 level and it imported fine. We are unable to revert to an older "M" version. Versions M100 and M150 both do not export these files correctly for them to open in Altium software.Another designer at our client was able to export the DXF layout with default DXF Export setting with Creo Parametric 4.0 M040 and import into Altium fine (title block displayed, no missing letters, numbers or symbols)When they tried to import the M100 or M150 exports from me (same settings), it was missing random letters, leaders were not aligned with the features they were to dimension, symbols were coming in as "~" for diameter and "n" for degrees. Title block did not import at all.

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.3.0I have a round part with a "flow channel" that I am trying to rough out trying to pick mill. My work around is to use 4axis trajectory with full size ball endmills and axis shift tools paths.Any ideas? I have tried cutline however, Can only get the bottom of the radius pick milled.

Hello, I'm trying to estimate the build time by measuring the cross section area for each slice in a model, since I have an approximated melting-time/area [m²/s]. My idea were to use a plane which defines a section and from there measure the area, then move the plane one length unit and take a new measure. This would go on until the whole part/build is covered then save this data to a .csv or excel file. My question is: is it possible to write a script within Creo to do such thing or are there anyone with another suggestions? Thanks!

looking  help about postprocessor ..it is a conversational PP of creo for TNC426 Heidenhain. the problem is ARC not generated in ZX plane by creo conversational PP of TNC426 please check pictures.    in where the area of pp I need to investigate to resolve arc issue which is not on XY plane. right now any arc which is on the XY plane work well but as you saw the 3d trajectory path where the arc is on the ZX plane is not generated properly. I change CIRC_INTERPOLATION to POINTS_ONLY in trajectory sequence and the problem was resolved but I prefer to generate the code which is not on the x,y,z points base. regards

Hi everyone! first post here. Recently we got a PocketNC V2-50 in our warehouse and I'm trying to set up a PostProcessor for it. I'm almost there, but for some reason when the tool is moving around the spheric surface, it is not exporting the G-Code as it should be. To me, it looks like the Post-Processor is trying to get from the beginning of one of the dome paths to the end of it but instead of going from the point, let say, M to point N as it should, it is getting to N from behind, so it's trying to calculate a smooth curve to get there, resulting in a wrong trajectory.(Image below)The cylindrical section is "fine", and I quote it because the whole program is running with the pocket NC is executing the code with the A table rotated 180º, which doesn't make any sense unless there's a setting that I'm missing in the Option File Generator (which is where I've been trying to get it done) The PostProcessor I'm using as a reference is the UNCX01.P37, which is one of the Cre

 The drill web cycle works properly through creo when playing the toolpath, but when it posts out it does not work.I see that the web drill sequence outputs a CYCLE/THRU in the CLDATA, and according to the GPOST literature, if your control does not have a hardware cycle for CYCLE/THRU (ours doesn't) and set it to NA, then it will force GPOST into software mode.  The issue is, it seems that GPOST even in software, deals with CYCLE/THRU differently than Creo does.Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work correctly, or possibly even have a working FIL for reference?

I have a working kinematic model that will work fine as long as you do not immediately rotate to the opposing side.  If I start machining on B0 and go to B180, the Z travels right through the part and continues machining without rotating the B axis.  But if I go from B0 to B90 and then on to B180, it will rotate as intended.  If I go from B90 to B270, it also will go straight through the part.  My "MACH_ZERO" CSYS match each other, I can't think of anything I have done wrong on my end.  Any ideas?  Or is this just another thing that Creo offers but is broken?Also, if I start on B180 as my first machining side, then with all following rotations, the tool will go through the part.  I put together the following demonstrations.(view in My Videos)(view in My Videos)    

Good morning.  Wondering if anyone can help me with something for my programming guys.  We are in process of moving to Creo 6 for machine programming and one my guys noticed when he is doing a standard drilling cycle, pecking, or tapping that the parameters for the tools selected are being auto-populated by a relation and not leaving the parameter tab yellow, signaling to my guys they still need to select the right pre-made drill parameter file for the operation.  The auto-populated amounts are extremely high cut feeds and spindle speeds.  The concern here is if the auto-populated amounts get forgotten and not changed it could be bad.  In Creo 3, which we use now, it does not do this and leaves the tab yellow with empty cut feeds and spindle speeds, even after the tool is selected.  We can then go and select a drilling parameter to use which will fill in the proper feeds and speeds.  I'm wondering how I can eliminate these auto-populated relations tha

Hello,   a tiny blog entry for setting up color definitions for bores and holes in EMX. It is quite simple.   Go to the EMX Options -> Technology Tab   You will find 3 columns: Hole Color, Face Color, 2nd Hole Color In the rows different cutout UDFs are listed. In this example I have chosen 2 different UDFS that are used to create holes for guide components guide_thread_bore and guide_thru_thread (1.) and one for the cut out of Locating ing slots locating_round_slot (2.)   Double click within a cell and a color dialog will open. For the guide UDFs if have choosen a RED color For the Locating UDFs if have chosen a GREEN color. With this setup every time guide_thread_bore and guide_thru_thread are used, these cutouts will be colored RED. Every time I use locating_round_slot these cutouts will be colored GREEN.   This is how it looks like within a mold base:     Thanks,   Thomas

I have a 3-axis Sherline cnc mill to which I've recently added a cnc rotary table.  I want to cut vertical cylindrical holes by positioning the work-piece using the X and Y axis and power rotating the table to cut the cylinders.  I I have to add the 4th axis stepper driver to my self-built controller, and teach myself how to do this; time, lots of time, but I have it. I can add the stuff the post needs for the 4th axis with Gpost. Question is simple. Is this possible?     john ferguson

Hi,in the help center it is not clear how to use REGEN TYPE in manufacturing.   ◦ Normal—Regenerate a part normally. ◦ Slow—Regenerate a part, and displays the part and tool path after regenerating each manufacturing feature. ◦ Step—Regenerate a part, waits for user input after regenerating, and displays each manufacturing feature. ◦ Supp Fail—Automatically suppress any features that fail upon regeneration, along with their children. ◦ Compute CL—Specify if you want the CL data to be recalculated at regeneration time.   Exactly how should they be used?Can you give me some examples?   Thanks
