Here I outlined my thoughts on improving the system of units in Mathematical CAD (SMath, Mathcad, Maple Flow etc).See the pdf attachment.I would be very grateful for your comments and suggestions.
Math CAD is not Mathcad and not MathCAD (a DOS version of Mathcad). Math CAD is Mathematical CAD! My next book has a title "Math CAD & Python: STEM education". What PTC can say about it? What you can say about it?
Hello Dear Friends, What are your pros and cons regarding the use of these two math software for now and in the future? What do you think about these two math software? What choice would you make and what would be the arguments if you had to choose between these two for the future?Thank you.Best regards,B. Cornel
Team, I cannot convert an old Mathcad worksheet to a Mathcad Prime worksheet. Mathcad says "No license." But I have a license! Please help.
Hello, For 2D Plot: For 3D Plot: I want to plot the point f1(2,1)=2, so the point where x=2 and y=1 on the 3D plot, and to display the point as it is showed in 2D Plot.Is it possible to do this?Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.Thank you.
How do work with several functions one would be f(t) and another would be g(t-tau)? Mathcad Prime 9 doesn't let me use a delay. Any suggestions?
In Mathcad prime I added a plot that needs y axis in the logorithmic scale, which I can do, but values below a certain point are meaningless and destroy the shape of the plot. Is it possible to set the Y axis limits in a Mathcad Prime 7 plot? Grid lines would also be great.
The attached file ends with a division of mass/mass; yet, the result is not unitless. Please help. Please ignore if I have a concept wrong. The unitless result is driving me crazy.😩 Thanks for your help.
Hi, I'm attempting to use conditional formatting to determine whether values meet certain criteria within a matrix, and then based on those results, manipulate the values within the matrix by certain formulas embedded within the if/then statements. Right now I have the contents of the original matrix (output from the embedded excel file), and I'm attempting to use a separate variable (Mcalc) to use step functions to move in both directions within the matrix to identify each value within the matrix to confirm whether it meets certain criteria. I believe I'm getting hung up on the portion where I'm trying to use two separate step functions within the definition of a single variable. My other question relates to the embedded excel I have within the document. Is there any way to perform the calculation I have within the embedded excel (a simple formula that references two separate vectors of different lengths) outside of excel? Thanks in advance, &n
Hello, I am trying to leverage Mathcad Prime's symbolic solve as an intermediary between FBD equations and a function to evaluate results. I am missing how to "push" the symbolic evaluation into a function as shown in the attached.

hello again! Can someone convert my XMCD files to prime 8, please. My Mathcad Prime 8 doesn't have the option to convert it even though I tried to reinstall it.
HiI'm trying to analyse a beam under semi-ellipse load. In the analyses I try to form shear load, bending moment, slope and deflection functions with integrationof load function. If I use symbolic solution method the resulting functions become too complex.Could someone help me by making an example of determination of the shear load function?I hope that with one example, I would be able to solve the rest...Thanks in advance.
We have a handful of Mathcad 8 installations that are failing and reporting an exit code of -610 back to SCCM. Does anyone know that this exit code means? Or where the installation log files are located?
Hello all, as a simple example I use a sinus function where I want to find the absolute minimum and absolute maximum. If the function will be more complicated then the local extrema are not interesting currently. I am looking for the absolute values. To be honest I don´t want to make a derivation d/dt and find the corresponding times via solve block. I would like to use some kind of integrated function. Unfortunately "max(vector)" and "min(vector)" does not work. My function f(txx) seems to be not an array ... Hm. Also I have found in the F1 help menu a function for local minima and local maxima. I understand that it compares the array elements but it also doesnt help. Can you help please? My sheet is attached. Also here the screenshot:
I'm not really sure what is wrong with my document. If I simply evaluate the function ZL() I get a vector output (or what I'd call a vector - matrix with one column). When I take the same function and assign to a variable I get the error screen captured below. Is there a way to explicitly define a variable to be a vector or matrix? Or, is that not the problem? I've attached the Mathcad Prime document. EDIT: Looks like the issue might be because I'm using a range variable (see link below). So, how do I convert a range variable to a matrix/vector variable? https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r8.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/range_variables.html
my ptc mathcad 8.0.0.0 student license just stopped out of nowheremy license is a student one and more than 30 days have passed, basic use, and today mathcad stopped working without any message and my studies are inside it. Can you help me understand what happened if it was a license problem or what can I do to solve it?
I want to get the input from excel do the calculation in Mathcad prime and return the output to same excel sheet is it possible.
Hello everyone, Here I need a help in formula fitting. x=[0.2;0.3;0.4;0.5;0.6;0.7;0.8;0.9;1.0] y=[0.25;0.51;0.78;1.15;1.5;1.87;2.35;2.85;3.4] I want to fit formula y=A/x+B , how can I calculate the paramaters of A and B using Mathcad. Thank you
Is it possible to always get the results in desired unit style say I defined a variable with mm after evaluating it shifts to m but I want to keep it to mm by default I know I can modify the unit placeholder but wanted to know if there is any workaround for this
Hi All, I'm working on a problem of dissipation of entrapped energy in a steam turbine, for which I would like to calculate the energy and display the result with units. However, when I try to include the units in the terms Mathcad finds some errors. As soon as I strip out the units, Mathcad finds a solution without trouble, please see my worksheet, attached. Any ideas what the trouble is and if there is a way to include units in the equations? Thanks!
Hello to everybody. I am a user of MATHCAD Prime 8.0I defined a matrix as a result of computations performed in my code, where three columns have been filled with frequency (in Hz or sec-1), and the real and imaginary part of a wave-vector (k' and k'') and several lines (801).I was firstly surprised to see that if I define each column in a loop I receive back the notification that the variable has been "re-defined". The loop is below, with green-circled matrix element that receive this commentIn spite of this, the matrix is correctly filled, as I check by using the statement "K=".On the other hand, when I try to save data in a file, I tried to use both "WRITETEXT" and "WRITEFILE", but the result is that the "K" matrix has no compatibility because of the units (see below) Now, the three columns have different physical dimensions, but they are correctly defined and I already used this statement in past releases (MATHCAD 15, before the PRIME) without any negative comment.Do you
Hello everyone, Here I need a little help in adding gride to the drawing in MathCAD prime . If anyone can help me out I will be really thankful.
Both inputs are define and their values are shown below. Requesting a solution to this error.
I have tried several times to have the link emailed to me to download the free version of Mathcad but I am not receiving the email. I have checked the spam folders and there is no email.
