Mathcad

I have installed MathCAD 7.0.0.0 but each time I open the program the splash screen pops up (and I can see the program in Task Manager) then after a few seconds it closes (closes in task manager as well).

Hi, I don't understand what is happening here. I have a range of resistances I put into a variable. Then I just want each solution using the basic voltage divider fuctionfunction. Thank you

Good day PTC Community!   I was wondering if someone could help me resolve my issue with the product. I tried the symbolic solve for an equation and it was amazing. I got stuck though. I was planning to use the value solved from the equation I made inside the worksheet and use it for other formulas. The problem is I can't extract it, it just prompts me "missing term or expression." Was what I'm doing wrong? or are there any workaround I should change in order to achieve extracting the variable solved?   Thanks in advance!

I am using Mathcad Prime 7.0 7.0.0.0Hi,I need help to solve a problem with error in Combo-box. When I try to set up units K/W or m/s in dropdown input menubox after that block turns red. How could I to use such units as K/W or m/s such as input values? I guess that is problem in using input dropbox. I couldnt find any information about solving this problem in MathCad help.Here are the errors that I faced Blok turns red without error message.

Hello all   From the shortcut list of Mathcad, shift+space can append an extra column to the matrix. However, I found that it doesn't work for my Mathcad Prime 7.0.   Does anyone know how to fix it?   Btw, pressing shift+enter to append an extra row to the matrix can work in my computer.       Thanks!  

Hi,   Can I use solve block inside a program loop? For example, it may be useful if I need to scan all the possible solution of Find(var1,var2,...).   Many thanks S

The installer downloads my files but it can't install them. It points me to check the log files, but there are no log files.

I have referenced excel UB steel table and used Vector command so that I can use properties values for calculation. its easier such that I only have to change row number to select a different UB.   I use properties to calculate bending capacity (output as vector)  and compare with know demand (typed scalar values), I get errors.  How do i convert 1x1 vector answers with typed scalar values such that "all values are scalar" for checks" ?    

I'm trying to iterate over a matrix and for some reason I can't seem to generate the new matrix. It just spits out the last value of the iteration. Looking at other posts I think I have something wrong with the indices of the matrix, but I can't quite figure it out.    

I have the following equations and i am trying to ge the values for b2 and D2. I have all the other necessary values but i cannot get to solve this. Have i mistyped the root equation?I tried with the find function too.

I've been scouring the forums for a while now and I'm starting to come to the conclusion that either my question is so simple that nobody else needs to ask how to do it or that it just can't be done. Put simply, I'm trying to find out how I can get MathCAD (using Prime 4.0) to return the highest or lowest result of a function given a list of possible input variables. For example, if I have a simple function: f(x,y) = x + y^2 and a list of possible values for x and y: x = [3, -6, 2] y = [2, 3, -3] How can I get MathCAD to output the largest (11) or smallest (-2) result?

Hi,   I'm using Mathcad 15 and I'm having problem in using solve block. What I'm trying to get is to find the values of PM.guess that will satisfy the LF.sum=1.   Appreciate if you can let me know how to fix this.   Thanks.

I am having an issue with regards to the chart component. i tried to plot sin 100x and changed the x variable range to 0 to 0.1. What i'm seeing is some weird triangle wave. I believe this problem is caused by having too few plotting points for the sine wave. I already checked all the possible settings in the chart component but i can't seem to find a proper one. It works with the normal x-y plot. can't find the solution to the chart component.

I use Prime 5 for a system of nested program modules. Normally it works, but im some cases an unexplainable error occurs with embedded matrices. Description in attached PDF-File. Who has knowledge to solve this problem? Guenther P.  

Dear MathCAD Prime experts,Currently I have had a problem of opening my work file. I was doing my engineering design of Footing in MathCAD Prime7.0, but I was not get done on work I saved and closed. When I opened the for continuing my work the error message was popped up " The file type is not supported. Log file is located at C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception20210505_145107.log'' and I could not even open my file, I tried. Have somebody experienced this kind of problem? I would like you somebody else kindly spare your time to have a look at my attached file for making it to be as normal as it can be?I am here for looking forward for your help. Thank you!

Hi,   I'm trying to replicate a template that evaluates the shear and moment of a simple beam. The problem is that to W array, I've got the message that n is invalid. The index should be an integer that it is n=3, no less than origin that it is because i have set up origin=1 and no greater than the last element which i don't know if is true. Any idea how can I fix it?   Thanks Thank you all for taking the time. It was the origin :1 that was not written as it should so no all sorted. Thank you very much anyway!!  

My company provided Mathcad 13 with Prime 3.0.  MCD converter tab is inactive.  Does that mean I cannot use my older MCD files with this setup?
