I have two Mathcad sheets that I am using to design a structural member.  The reason I have two sheets is for two different design cases that have different loading.  Although there are two different design cases, the member geometry input for both cases needs to be the same.  I was wondering if there was a way to selectively link only certain inputs/ variables from one sheet to another?  My initial thought was that if you could initiate a link then then end/break it partway through the sheet, that may work, but I am not sure.  Due to different loading inputs the output will change, thus if I cant end/break the link, I will get duplicate output variable errors.  Thank you!  

There was again the question about Temperature units  I will tell one story. Ten years ago, I was in the city Boulder (Colorado, USA) in NIST and gave a talk about my program WaterSteamPro. They gave me the NIST handbook on the properties of water and steam. I leafed through it and saw that in units of thermal conductivity a degree of Fahrenheit, not a degree of Rankine. I said that in the old world and in Russia we have were not a wrong degree of Celsius, but correct kelvins. They told me that it’s easier to change the US constitution than to force American engineers to use here the right degrees of Rankine, and not degrees of Fahrenheit! But the most surprising was that in this Reference book in units of entropy and heat capacity were degrees Rankine, not Fahrenheit.    

What is the rationale for the change in region position on the page when changing from Standard Grid to Fine Grid and vice versa?  I don't mind the change in granularity, but I don't want my regions to jump all over the place when I change the grid size.Stuart

I am trying to write a program that implements the Foster - Cauer conversion algorithm described in summarily in page 19 of System-Level Thermal Simulation - nxp.com and thoroughly in appendix 2 of Aliyu, Attahir Murtala PhD thesis (that also includes an implementation in MATLAB) , but I cannot find how to program the manipulations they describe using MathCAD, especially the "polynomial long division" to obtain "quotient + remainder".   Anyone willing to help?   Note that I am using MathCAD 15   Thanks

Hi,        I need help with a certain problem. So I have done calibration on a set of instruments. The serial numbers as well as the calibration factors associated with them are given in the first 2 columns of the excel sheet. Now I am running all the instruments (I don't have cal factors for some) and I am getting a certain calibrator count as shown in columns F and G.   Now the issue is I need to compare the serial numbers of all the instruments with the subset to see which ones have cal factors associated with them. For instruments with cal factors, I need to multiply the cal factor (associated with that serial number) with the count for that particular instrument and output the result. So I need to write a mathcad program to output only the serial numbers of instruments with cal factors as well as the product of cal factor and count. I am attaching the excel sheet. I am using Mathcad Prime 6. Thanks for the help.

Hi, I am trying to solve the following double integral equation in Mathcad (Equation 17 extracted from tech paper). I get an "a name is required here" error when using the d(sin(q)2) i.e "d sine squared" in the differential. Can I use this d(sin(q)2)? Is there a trick to getting the syntax correct? Many Thanks Ross
