Hello, Everyone. From : "No solution was found". What does it mean in this case ? Regards.
I have what is probably a simple plotting issue. It occurs at the bottom of the attached worksheet. I am comparing four outputs from Odesolve and Radau: velocity, stress, porosity and pore pressure. When I plot the velocity and stress together there is no problem (I know there are some differences in the peaks, but I understand why this is happening and it is not the issue). For the porosity and pore pressure, the outputs look ok if I put them on separate plots, but if I put them on the same plot, the output from the second quantity on the plot (from Odesolve) does not seem to plot correctly.
I was wondering if I could get some clarification on updating the license on the Mathcad Prime 4.0 We had a message stating the license was expiring. I have able to successfully retrieve the new license and have the zip folder with the text document. However, I'm unsure how I go about updating the license for a user. I attempted to look at some documentation but I'm unsure what the next step is or if I'm doing it correctly. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Hello Everyone. From : Am I missing something in finding the local min of the function f(x), the above ? Thanks in advance.
Hi guys! I'm new here, trying to learn the basics of mathcad prime 4. I'm having trouble solving what I thought was a simple operation. I'm trying to get a numerical value for k, but I can't make it work. I tried looking in the help and googling, but I'm not getting any closer. I know the answer is probably simple, but I'm just not finding it. So I was hoping for some advice and help on how to write this stuff in mathcad so it understands what I want to do.. One last thing, k is a factor in wind resistance (Wind resistance = k * velocity) EDIT: I tried removing all units, which seems to work. But then I have to reassign all my units again, which is rather annoying.. I believe there is a way, which I'm just not seeing (yet)
See the mice (surface bats) problem here The Bats problem - see please the video and the Mathcad 15 sheet in attach! Can you show more nice (symmetric) plan of flyers!
Still learning mathcad. could you please help me to understand what changes i need to make to get the sigma_x/p, sigma_x, sigma_z/p, and sigma_z values to calcualte correctly. thanks
I have coordinates of two point: x1, y1, z1 and x2, y2, z2. How to plot the line connected two points in 3D surface plot? Thanks
Hello, I have a little problem with mathcad prime 4.0 and I hope that somebody on here can help me. I already paid the 12.00€ that mathcad prime 4.0 costs and verified my adress but then the problems started. I got an E-Mail that had a file attached to it which i saved to my computer first (like the E-Mail said) and then tried to open the file on my computer. But every time I do this PhotoDirector just tells me that the file can not be opened because it's damaged / not supported and that I should check the content sources and try again. If somebody knows what I'm doing wrong please tell me as soon as possible because I need mathcad for school and without it I'm screwed.
How to create 3D curve using x, y and z vectors? I have done it but do not remember! And second - can you correct the solution of this problem - Hawk and Hare. Thanks!
Greetings! I want to solve this problem using rkfixed function in mathcad prime 2.0. Help would be highly appreciated! I am having trouble understanding the derivative matrix of this function
I'm using Excel and Mathcad files that were perfectly functional on another machine. When I try to run them on my current laptop, I get "Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface" The problematic code is: Dim Mathcad As Ptc_MathcadPrime_Automation.ApplicationSet Mathcad = New Ptc_MathcadPrime_Automation.Application I'm using Mathcad Prime 4.0, Excel 365, and Windows 7. Has anyone run into this error before?
Example: A=(0,1,2) now by using rotate keyword Result = rotate(A,180); Result = (2,1,0). But how to do this without keyword ?
Hi All, This may end up being a very simple question for some of you advanced folks. I have been using Mathcad for years, but not always at a great depth, and somewhat sporadically. Anyhow, I was working through some circuits in the s-domain, and MathCad works really well here to quickly narrow down the equations...certainly faster than by hand. I have attached the file with my question at the very bottom of of the calculations. I would really like to solve this circuit for Vo/Vi to arrive at the s-domain transfer function. Is there a one-step solver in Mathcad for this? I know how to use the symbolic solver to find a solution for any single variable, but wondering if there is a way to find the expression for Vo/Vi? Please don't laugh too hard if I'm missing something obvious through my ignorance. I have hunted through Mathcad's help and some of the other community entries out here and have not found anything like this.
Hello, i would like to solve this equations. The equations are correct and testet with few parameters but to solve the complete equations is not working. Do you know what's wrong. Thanks and regards
I always run into this problem. I don't know why
Greetings colleagues of the forum, I have the following query:How to create variable names automatically?By programming a loop I get the names of variables but as text strings, I want to get a matrix like the one marked in red? Is there any way to do it in Mathcad Prime 4? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Quite a lot of our work can essentially be done with the free/express license of MathCAD. Can we, with Express versions, view and partially-manipulate workbooks created with Prime versions? If I, in Prime, create a solve block in a workbook, can someone in Express open that sheet and change the input variables? Can users switch b/w Prime and Express versions easily? Ideally, carrying on the same use-case, if I’m manipulating a workbook from express version but see I want to make a change by using a Prime-only feature, can I click a button to grab the license and unlock the Prime functions?
I am trying to solve a nonlinear equation for the maximum value. The equation is from Bowles, Foundation Analysis & Design, 5th Edition, Chapter 11-7, page 609, Eq. (11-10). I am interested in the maximum value of Kp for a given guess value assigned to two variables, rho and psi. I have tried defining the function before executing the Maximize function and have not had any success finding the maximum value of Kp. The Mathcad file is attached and I would appreciate any comments regarding format/syntax errors. Please note that all the soil parameters are fixed and the maximum value for the function is the desired result. Wayne Bell, PE
Hello I have several Mathcad v.15 sheets, which include one or more Excel tables for data input and output purposes.Recently the tables have been disappearing and the Mathcad has started to crash often when the Excel table is double clicked. The Excel which I have is in Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus: Microsoft Excel 2016 MSO (16.0.9126.2282) 32-bit and the Mathcad is Mathcad 15.0 (M020 [MC15_M020_20121127]) Any suggestions, how to get the sheets to be more stable and more functional?
Hello, I would like to solve this symbolic equation and save it in a variable. Why is this not possible? Thanks
Wondering if Mathcad Prime is able to tile worksheets, in order to compare side by side and copy/paste.I believe this was a capability in previous versions.
Good afternoon. I'd like to find the MIN and MAX of a function. Doing MINIMIZE or MINIMIZE I have the error that "the variable is undefined". Doing the derivate it does not work. How can I do? If you want I can attach the code.
I am trying to get started with Laplace transform in MathCAD 15 and I would like help to find what I did wrong in the document I uploaded. It’s a simple second order RC circuit. V1 is a constant value. I tried to find V2(t). C2V0 and C1V0 are initial conditions of capacitors. The result I got with invlaplace makes no sense. Thanks
Good morning. I have a function with the variable working into a closed interval; I'd like to find the MEAN value. Using the function MEAN, this function is getting out the save values of the function. How could I do?
