Mathcad

Hi I am a newbie with Mathcad,I got something weird going on, that is when I am using the plot function to plot my equation, I don't get the y values in the chart matching the values of the actual function.If I start with a blank new worksheet it works just fine and I can't figure out what is wrong with the existing worksheet.The function I am trying to plot is Vmagn vs Imagn. Vmagn has the equation shown and will plot in y axis, the Imagn is a range of values and it will be the X-axis.Attached are the worksheets :Plot_with_no_problem.xmcdPlot_with_problem.xmcd (about Page 8- 9)The Vmag in the Plot_with_problem.xmcd worksheet is a lot higher then what it should.As you can see Vmag should start at 108 but somehow it starts at 2550.Let me know if you find the cause of this problem.I am using Mathcad 15.0Thanks,Adi.

Hello folks,I have here a set of equations in which I try to solve for a variable. First I used a vector to define distance l0 through l5, but Mathcad complaint that it can't accept units therefore I changed from vector elements to single variables with literal subscripts for l0 to l5.However, now the error says it is undefined. Can anybody tell me the source of the problem?Raiko

I need help to plot the shear and moment diagram of the one of the videos I have tried to use examples but it is big no go for me. Just so you know I am not coming at this completely blind. I have tried these examples :Load Shear Moment Diagram with Mathcad.avi - YouTubeshear and force diagram in mathcad pt 1 .mov - YouTubeI think they are using some different Mathcad that I can't use in own version of Mathcad. If I could figure out how to set up the function to graph and then the plot. I think if I try simpler ones then maybe I can move on to more complex ones that I am currently working on. thank you in advance for any help.

I'm working on a set of calculations whereby the input values are located at the top of the document and the values which I need to compare are scattered down through the calculations. Is there anyway of having the values required at the top, next to the input values (on the right hand page if possible so I can make them non-printable)? This way I am not changing one input and scrolling through everything to find what I need.

Hello, everybody.I have met some problem when i want to install the Flex License Manager. So, here's the detail of the problem.The server I want to install the FlexLM to.The server is a virtual machine which hosted on a VMWare. The server couldn't connect to the Internet and already have another FlexLM instance which runs at least 5 other licenses. The server only have a network interface (which is the same as the PTC_HOSTID line in the license).The documentation I've read.What I've (which I think relevant to the problem) read was : a. Mathcad License Problem - ptc_d daemon is down ... (Couldn't do it. The server doesn't have any PTC product installed yet.)b. vendor daemon is not being read...File not found, __PTCD_PATH__ (Already modified the license like that)c. Mathcad Prime 2 Installation, License Management section. (Couldn't use the setup file as the server couldn't and shouldn't connected to the internet).The installer I have.Mathcad 14 (don't know if the FlexLM can be installed

Hi everyone，I have a task to solve complex differential Equations: The problems are as the following picture:It seems that these equations can be solved by Mathcad. Because, I can get any point's value. However, I can't plot it.So, my problems are:1) Why I can't plot? what should I do?2) The left table, which shows the P10_j, seems very strange. I used the READEXCEL command to create a matrix that I can use Lookup Functions on.The Lookup Functions work perfectly except I can NOT compare the values as shown below:Help?

Mathcad Prime gives me 11.833 as answers but need to get and show the equivalent fraction 71/6.How can we convert from decimal to fraction?

I am very new to the image processing functions in Mathcad prime or Mathcad 15.0.  In the image processing functions, I don't know what "melem" does.  When I look in the help files, it says that "melem" is a vector or matrix.  I can get my functions to work with a basic matrix but I really don't understand its purpose or function.  Does anyone else know?Thanks ahead of time.

Dear all,I am a beginner of using Mathcad 15 and I have a very basic question regarding to the data import and solving an equation. I try to simplify my questions: I have a text file containing two columns of data with column 1 is "a" and column 2 is "b". I would like to solve the equation a*x^2 - b = 0 to get x value. This means once I import (a0, b0) I have x0 export and so on so forth. I would like to export all x values into a file. Can someone please tell me how I can do this? This worksheet shows the calculation of a transmission line parameters used for LW/MW and Shortwave broadcasting stations. This TL is classified as unbalanced and of the very high power type and consist of central copper tubing conductor and eight copper solid parallel wires. Using Mathcad Prime 2.0 is only to show the equations used in calculations withouit plotting or optimization.I have included an executable version of the program written in VB 6.0 with GUI and slide control to vary the line parameters. VB 6.0 is still very alive and in use up to date. The icon is also designrd by me with my initial letter "A" of my name. I hope that the readers wil enjoy it.

Basically the answer should be a perfect zero (according to theory and also verified through hand calculation), so why this software is giving such high error.Please tell me if I am doing something wrong as soon as possible.

When i Do a bending moment controll i get an array (a vector) which has negative values and positive values in it. Check attached files.My attempt is to solve for x at a certain p value. Can anyone explain why the solve command and solve block fails?According to Brent Maxfield's monograph “Essential PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0 (2014)” ch.10 pg. 312, the 3.0 version has a bug with modifiers which could implement constraints. Has this been fixed in 3.1? I want to eliminate complex roots and filter real roots.. Will assume command be any use in 3.1 as it make no difference in 3.0 version?Does the solver fail because of the expression in the equation “’x’ to the power ‘i’” where x has multiple roots and “i” is also running from 1-14, 1-17? However, in reality “i” is affiliated in sigma and when expanded it cannot be considered as a range.. Can this be sorted if I re-arrange it in vector form?
