When I click on help (e.g New Users button) facility (e.g. http://www.ptc.com/http://communities.ptc.com/docs/doc-3621). The browser page opens, but I constantly get the message below. Hello everyone,FIrst of all, I am very pleased to be on this forum.The reason I came here is to ask about solving equations with Mathcad.I have an assignment where I have to determine the three cicrular frequencies and periods of a free vibration (EQ. resistant engineering).the way I am trying to do this is using the lateral stiffness and mass matrices, [K] and [M]. In order to find the frequencies mentioned above I used the following equation:det [K - omega^2*M] = 0. My question is, how can I solve this equation using Mathcad? the mass and stiffness matrices are the size of 3x3. I am looking to find the three omega^2 values.this is what I have so far, but I am sure it is not right, because no omega should be negative.Thank you for your time and help,Sincerely,Aron

Hi,I am using Mathcad 15. My worksheet consists of calculations as well as graphs.When I try to save the worksheet in .HTML format (Save as Webpage) mathcad gives the following error:"Worksheet not saved"Please see the attched screenshot of the error.Can anyone suggest how to resolve this?Thanks,Ram

I already had mentioned it a while ago but was not able to reproduce it - now I am 😉has anybody already noticed the DebugPropertyWindow, where you can change some sort of things?Most helpful as I now can change the color and opacity of selected parts of an expression, which are normally very hard to spot on some notebooks and LCD screens.As far as I can tell, the changes are permanent and are global, not for the active worksheet only.I stumbled upon the keyboard shortcut while trying (to no avail) to get the OR operator via keyboard on my German keyboard - most shortcuts don't work as expected or do not work at all on foreign keyboards.The keyboard shortcut for OR should be Ctrl-Shift-@  (and now I know that on my keyboard I have to press Ctrl-Shift-2).For the @ character I have to press AltGr-q which did not work, but that way i found, thatShift-AltGr-qorShift-Ctrl-Alt-qbrings up the aforementioned  DebugPropertyWindow., at least it works that way on my keyboard.It works th

I have an unstable file in older Mathcad version. Can I request for help to convert it to new one ? When I open the file it crashes Mathcad (please see the screen shot below). I can email the file (I am not allowed to post it publicly).

Hi, I started using Mathcad a few days ago, and I´m trying to learn how to made some calculations for a paper. Right now, I´m having a problem to make an approximation with three different equations.Before, I made this same calculation with excel, but I dont know how to make it now.In this case, I have to calculate a velocity, and for that, I need a value, calculated by another depending of the velocity. So, before, on excel, I started with an approximate number for the velocity, then Ifigured the constants, then with that, I obtained the velocity again, and so on until the value of the speed began to tend to a very similar number varying in a few thousandths of m/s. Now, I´m not sure to do that step with mathcad. So I´m asking here for some helpWhat I need to is the velocity "uf", and  with that velocity, the constant to calculate are Rep2 and Cd2, the others variables are defined.I think twith an itteration I could resolve this, but I don´t know how to do it yetI hope I was clea

I have a problem using a solve block with equations that change at a specific point in the solution.  I've attached an example file (Mathcad Prime 3.1) showing the problem and how I've solved it.  The scenario is two vessels connected in series.  The first vessel is initially full of water while the second vessel is empty.  At time = 0, a flow of a second fluid starts into vessel 1.  The overflow from vessel 1 goes into vessel 2.  When vessel 2 is filled, then the overflow from vessel 2 goes to a drain.  I want to calculate the volume fraction of the second fluid in each vessel with time.  The equation for the volume fraction in the second vessel changes once the vessel is filled (because it starts to drain.)  The way I came up with to handle this is using the step function, but it does some strange things.  I've included two solutions, the first showing the problem with the step function, the second showing my messy-looking way of hand

Dear!When I try to open the uploaded mathcad file I got this messeage: An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end. I don't know that could be the problem since I don't changed anything in the file from last time I worked on It and It didn't chrased or something. Hi I am a newbie with Mathcad,I got something weird going on, that is when I am using the plot function to plot my equation, I don't get the y values in the chart matching the values of the actual function.If I start with a blank new worksheet it works just fine and I can't figure out what is wrong with the existing worksheet.The function I am trying to plot is Vmagn vs Imagn. Vmagn has the equation shown and will plot in y axis, the Imagn is a range of values and it will be the X-axis.Attached are the worksheets :Plot_with_no_problem.xmcdPlot_with_problem.xmcd (about Page 8- 9)The Vmag in the Plot_with_problem.xmcd worksheet is a lot higher then what it should.As you can see Vmag should start at 108 but somehow it starts at 2550.Let me know if you find the cause of this problem.I am using Mathcad 15.0Thanks,Adi.

Hello folks,I have here a set of equations in which I try to solve for a variable. First I used a vector to define distance l0 through l5, but Mathcad complaint that it can't accept units therefore I changed from vector elements to single variables with literal subscripts for l0 to l5.However, now the error says it is undefined. Can anybody tell me the source of the problem?Raiko

I need help to plot the shear and moment diagram of the one of the videos I have tried to use examples but it is big no go for me. Just so you know I am not coming at this completely blind. If I could figure out how to set up the function to graph and then the plot. I think if I try simpler ones then maybe I can move on to more complex ones that I am currently working on. thank you in advance for any help.
