I am trying to acquire a trial license. On the licence wizard login page when I click Next button, I get the error "The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF"
They all have solutions as I checked them manually. I have no idea why this is not working.. I tried changing the guess values to the actual solutions and it is still not working. Thank you in advance!
No longer have installation CD and when I try to download English version of MathCad 14 (M020) from PTC website, it “errors out” at last minute. Any suggestions on how I can get the installation program for MathCad 14?

Hi, I have been unable to find a solution online for the problem I am having. I defined a matrix [A:=] with the units of psf. When I restate the matrix with an evaluation [A=], the units are psi. How do I change the units from psi to psf in the evaluated expression? The matrix contains strings and constants (defined with units). I am using an older version (Express Prime 5.0.0.0). Thank you!
Hello everyone,I have this problem: in worksheets where there are many text areas and calculation areas and some bitmap images, when I select something in a text area and copy it, it happens that the areas overlap, and the images moved downwards followed by a great effort to rearrange everything as before. Is there a remedy for this?Warm greetings to all members of the community and happy new year. Francesco M.
I am trying to solve an equation that has variables raised to a power (x^3) and also has roots (x^0.333). I have tried to move the dimension under the radicand, but the results still don't work. Please see the attached worksheet and comment on what can be done for a proper solution. The answer found in Excel without any units is 4.76 feet. Thank you for your assistance.
Hello everyone, In the attached worksheet, I would like to find the number of maxima of a noisy signal. I have observed that the built-in "localmax" function, misses some of the peaks and considers some false peaks even with the window option that could be hard to use with higher frequency signals. To develop the algorithm, I have smoothed my signal using "movavg" and "loess" functions and finally set some conditions to disregard some of the false peaks. However, there is still a difference between the true and extracted number of maxima. In the current worksheet, the true number of maxima in the attached file can be counted 97 but I have got the number 101 so far. I appreciate it if you share your idea and advice on this worksheet. All the best, Payman.
When trying to activate Mathcad Express License, ran into the following error: The Server committed a protocol violation, Section=ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF. Was instructed by Rizwan Khan to created a case here.
I downloaded the installer "pim_installmgr_mathcad.exe". If i double click it, it opens, extracts something and closes again. Is there something else I have to install first? Which Runtimes does Mathcad need? Does anyone know where the extracted files could be? The .exe was run as administrator on Windows 10 Pro with the latest update.
Hello, everyone. I wrote a simple program that solves 5 differential equations. Further, I fit experimental data with MINERR. It works but it works very slow. Does anyone know how to do it a bit faster? Thank you in advance! Program is attached
Hello: I am retiring my old PC and setting up my new one. My Mathcad 15 Student Edition will not complete the installation process. It stops in the middle with the message "Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad15\tabler.ocx failed to register. HRESULT-2147010895. Contact your support personnel." I get the same message whether I check the box to get a new license or use an existing license. It does not get far enough to ask for me to point it to a license file . I have downloaded a license file keyed to the hard drive on the new machine, which PTC sent via e-mail, but it seems pretty strange. If I click on it, to see if it needs any further setup, it tries to set up a music player and organizer. It does not seem to have anything to do with Mathcad. So, that may be a second problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Imagine a circular fence that encloses one acre of grass. If you tie a goat to the inside of the fence, how long a rope do you need to allow the animal access to exactly half an acre? https://www.quantamagazine.org/mathematician-solves-centuries-old-grazing-goat-problem-exactly-20201209/

Hi all,I have a wee problem. I like to use excel spreadsheets within my mathcad files. To be exact I like the feature of using mathcad variables that feed into the excel doc, then take an excel cell and feed it out. So using an excel document as a little black box. I do this by using insert component, and selecting the number of inputs and outputs etc. However, I've recently discovered it doesn't seem to work with .xlsm files, that is macro enabled excel docs. When I attempt to do it my output mathcad variable goes red and says output range invalid. I've tried saving the excel doc as a 'Normal' .xls file and while it fixes this particular problem, the actual file no longer works.Any ideas? Thanks
Hi I have a big formula where I would like to make 3 symb substitutions. But I get an error. I would need this formula to minerr it to this 3 new Values and not to the k-values. I would be happy if someone could find a solution. THANKS I use PRIME 6.0
I have been working with a system odes and have serveral questions about error messages. I have been using Radau (system is stiff; solutions have sharp peaks). For a certain range of parameters I get the message "The return value of this function must match the problem size" referring to the vector the the rhs's. I circumvented the problem by switching to BDF. But what does this message mean? (I couldnt find it in the list of error messages.) Then, I wanted to try Stffb and Stiffr. I had 10 equations and got the message "does not solve more than 8". Ok, I reduced the system to 8, but still got the message. Then reduced it to 7, thinking the message actually meant 8 or more, but got the same message. Then reduced it to 7 and I get the message "This value must be real." Can anyone help? Happy Holidays!
I am trying out MathCad 15 and keep getting an error message that I have never seen before (I have used MathCad 6 and 13 in the past). If I enter something like Frequency:=60 and then try Frequency= , I get an error message that says Library Not Registered. What is it trying to tell me? Thanks for the help.
Hello everyone! I have a problem with the following case: I used the function Match (value, vector, "near") to find the row in which the vector has the wanted value. But instead of finding a one value, I would like to create a function that would find a series of rows (Please see the attachment) But the function I created does not do the trick. I would appreciate any help
I have installed the software successfully but cannot run it. As soon I open the program, I get an error" An unhandled exception occurred on the dispatcher thread"
Does anyone know how to export string variables to text or CSV files withour quoation marks "" in MathCad Prime? This used to be easy in MathCad 15 using the Insert\Data\File Ouput. Thanks, colin
Hello All, In the attached mathcad15, i'd like to automate the output "Z.summary" for each steel thickness "ts" instead of doing each individually. On page 6, i had to create Z summary for each steel thickness ts=0.142, 0.150, .... How can i have it show for each steel thickness the corresponding Z.summary without having to individually putin the row number 0,1,..? i showed the results for Zsummary for t=0.142 and 0.150. Thank you, Sam

I have a program that works (PPPWorks_12_19_2020) for solving a system of odes using Radau with the Jacobian (I am using this because the solutions have peaks which are slightly better resolved with this choice). I made what I thought was an innocuous change (PPPNoWork_12_19_2020) adding the equation dA=0 so that I could set the value of A in the initial conditions. Now the calculation for the Jacobian grinds away for a while, then crashes MathCad. What did I do wrong? Maybe I now have two many equations d(...)= 0 for setting parameters in the IC? Any suggestions?
