Mathcad

I am using Mathcad Prime 6.0 6.0.0.0Cannot get secondary Y axis on plot. When I try to "double-click the plot area to open the PTC Mathcad Chart application" nothing happens (i.e. no chart application shows up). In the Axes section of the menu bar there isn't anything that addresses adding secondary axes.

In older versions of Mathcad (i.e. before Prime), I could change the default unit of each type independently, that is, I could set length to inches, force to kips, and mass to kg.   Is there any way to do this in Prime 4.0? I am well aware that I can change the display unit of an individual math region, but I need to be able to change the default display unit because I often work with matrices of mixed units. As such, I cannot change the display unit of such matrices, and I'm stuck with feet and pounds, and I'd really prefer to have inches and pounds.   Thanks, -Sean

Hi Say I have an expression: Z(s):= c(s)[a(s)+b(s)]; where s is a variable When I evaluated them, they are not the same.    Z(s)=   The results is not the same as: c(s)[a(s)+b(s)]=   Please see attached for a better explanation. The bottom right row result is not the same as the bottom left result. Bottom right row is correct   I think it has to do with some kind of matrix errors   Thanks Rdliquid

Hi,  I want to change column "2" of array "A" into column "3" of array " B" , and change column "3" of "B" array into column "2" of "A" array. The result of the interchange is shown in "A1" and "B1" arrays. Iwould like to program that procedure  in mathcad 15. Thanks

Hello, in the attached mathcad15 sheet, there is a region that contains math regions in it. I find it difficult to manipulate or move math regions around. how can i get rid of that large regions and have each region by itself? I am not sure of the point making it like that.   Thanks, Sam

I have two matrices in Mathcad 15 with the same number of rows each and the same number of columns each. The number of rows and columns are not fixed.   I want to obtain a combined matrix, as indicated below, where C1, C2, C3 are columns: MatrixA_C1    MatrixB_C1    MatrixA_C2    MatrixB_C2    MatrixA_C3    MatrixB_C3    ...   See attached example in Mathcad 15.   Thank you, Otilia

The premise of this problem is I am using a spectrometer to collect data through a sample, and am trying to relate those values to data I am pulling off another measuring instrument (Called M1 here).  I am using polyfit to generate a line of best fit through the data pulled from M1, and then trying to use that function on the time vector for the data collected from the spectrometer to relate the scope data to the M1 data (making it time independent)   The issue here is I am struggling to use polyfit the way I would like to.  I want to use the  function I generate from polyfit on a vector from an excel sheet, not a vector I have to generate myself in MathCAD.  The reason for this being that if I have an error in data collection, the time vector for my spectrometer may be non-continuous.    I've attached a MathCAD sheet that hopefully clarifies the problem further. Hi everyone,   I am trying to convert a file from MC15 to Prime 6.0, but I am getting this specific error: Conversion operation failed. Cannot start conversion. The problem may be due to an older version of MathCad on the system. Close the previous version to avoid data loss, run mcregister.exe in D:\MathCad, and then restart the converter. At the moment of conversion, I don't have MC15 open, and running mcregister.exe, doesn´t do anything.  I checked my Task Manager, but I don´t have any instance of MathCad running. I don´t know if its because my file is a bit large, but I´ll add it.   If anyone has encounter this error and knows how to fix it, I´ll appreciate any advice since I want to convert some files to work on Prime 6.0.   Thanks in advance   PS. When I download Mathcad 14, the download fails just before it is complete.  Can that be fixed or can I unload the program from a different source?

I have some coworkers who are unable to open an autocad object in Mathcad; we typically copy and paste autocad drawings into the mathcad file itself (Mathcad 15); but when one goes to open/edit the drawing, mathcad treats it as a 'readonly' trueview file.Is there a way to force Mathcad to open objects w/ autocad?Thank you

I see that Prime 6.0 has been released today. On the e-store I see either a full license or a student license. Maple offers a home use license, but it doesn't seem like Mathcad has that. Does anyone know for sure? Also, does Mathcad 15 come with Prime 6.0 purchase. The e-store doesn't say.   Based on all the forum posts, it looks like Prime 6 delivers a lot more than people expected. It seems to address a lot of the gripes. I'm curious what the new symbolic engine is. Is it home grown or licensed from someone. The Knitro solver is mentioned, but I think that's something different.   Thanks,   Anthony

How to download mathcad free trial? I've downloaded it on my girlfriend computer, deleted, and now I wish to install it on mine. But I can not, cuz It's when I submit free trial button it redirects me to Issue Logger.

I am incorporating mass as a defined variable a mechanism force analysis and I keep getting an error that the value needs to be a vector. The file is below. What can I do to fix this issue?

I am using MathCAD Prime 2.0 for design calculations for a building I am engineering. I am fairly new to MathCAD, only learning a little about it in college. However, I am running into a units issue when calculating pounds per linear foot (lb/ft) to just pounds (a point load). I am taking 480 PLF * 4 ft, the feet should cancel out and you are left with just pounds. MathCAD is spitting out a lb*f, like the units for a moment. When I go to change the units to just pounds then it changes my units to (ft/s^2)*lb? Please explain to me what is going wrong here.
