KVL states that the same sense sum of voltages added around a closed loop is zero; at all times by inference. I think that this also implies the same zero summation for the rates of change. Am I wrong? I have been a working engineer for 60+ years and I know that I might be forgetful! While re-writing a patent application it occurred to me that this was a valid understanding. Hello! Can we use the infix notation for a function name in Prime? For Example, I want to create a function for parallel resistors and use it for the circuit element by typing R1 || R2 for example. It was possible in Mathcad 15. Attached the sample from Mathcad 15.
Hi all, If there is some complex equation involving imaginary numbers and in my case I need to solve for f, i.e frequency but I am receiving an error if the function solve is called. Please refer the below attached file for details and kindly request anybody to help me out in solving this.
Hey all,I need some urgent help.I was working on my state exam project, opened the file this morning and edited something on it and saved. While i was saving, my PC suffered a blue death. I turned on my laptop back on a few minutes later to continue working, and am now getting an error saying : The file is not supported, the log file is : .... etc.. Is there a way to recover my damaged file from death? I have lots of important work on the document and I cannot afford to start over! Unfortunately i did not have a backup file ... Hi i know this is really basic ,im starting to learn how to use Mathcad 15. Im trying to replicate a pdf document that used Mathcad , but i cant plot the graph of the signal i pointed , its the Fourier transform of an entry signal. What should i put on Y axis and X axis? , im pretty sure the document used only what is on this Mathcad file. "help_mathcad15" is the Mathcad file and "Graph" is an image of what im supposed to get. please help a newb :s
I'm frustrated trying to simplify results from symbolic engine (new or legacy). i have tried multiple symbolic options. For some reason, if I go in and manually do an equate, stuff sort of works? Prime 6 file.

In the use of hexadecimal numbering, Mathcad gives an error when I use the hexadecimal number C, which is normally a unit of measurement and also for c which is the speed of light, the same for F. What should I do to avoid falling into error ?
Hello, I'm starting my adventure with Mathcad. I have two the same files written in Mathcad 14 and Mathcad Prime 3.0.But it only works well in Mathcad 14 and I don't understand why. In Prime 3.0 when i trying to plot the graph i have: "Plotting failed. Replace complex values and NaNs by real numbers." I noticed that there are many people with similar problems. I have read all topics related to it and I still don't know what is wrong with my file. Can you help me?

I'm seminew to Mathcad, and I know my question is fairly basic, however, I was not able to find the answer either through google nor through clicking around in the PTC online manual. This is my first attempt at making vectorized calculations, however, I keep failing doing them. The program simply shuts me down by giving me the error message that I must use a matrix or a scalar. The equation I try to do is fairly straightforward: 1) Define a vector with a range x:=1..5 2) Implement an equation H*sin(x/L*pi) everything works swell, until I try to save that value, simply by putting something in front of it. Let's say: y:=H*sin(x/L*pi) At this point it suddenly decides to tell me no, it must be a scalar, I'm not allowed to do this. What's the reason? How do I get around it? Second question: Is it possible to have a simple index system such as x(1), rather than x_1? I haven't figured the indexing system at all, btw. Everytime I try to call any of the vector value

Hello All, I am struggling to find the proper code for solving a system of non linear equations, using Mathcad 15. The equation are given in the screenshot below. The problem is related to thermodynamics. I followed a template with Find, however it just don't get me anywhere. What needs to be done to get the results ? Dear Colleagues! There were several questions related to building hysteresis loops. Recently, I have published the article “An improved parametric model for hysteresis loop approximation” that deals with the problem. AbstractA number of improvements have been added to the existing analytical model of hysteresis loops defined in parametric form. In particular, three phase shifts are included in the model, which permits us to tilt the hysteresis loop smoothly by the required angle at the split point as well as to smoothly change the curvature of the loop. As a result, the error of approximation of a hysteresis loop by the improved model does not exceed 1%, which is several times less than the error of the existing model. The improved model is capable of approximating most of the known types of rate-independent symmetrical hysteresis loops encountered in the practice of physical measurements. Hi, How do I calculate the other root?
I have a series of plots similar to the one below with multiple peaks and troughs. I want to get the values of the peaks and troughs and their x coordinate. The only way I can think to do it is to use max to find the value of the biggest peak, remove that section of data, find the next and so on. This is tedious and I have many to do. There must be a better way. Can someone show me what it is. Worksheet is attached.
Hi, Distractedly, I used the "solve" operator to solve the given polynomial equation. It gives a solution but the answer is not complete. Why solve does not give the correct answer?
QM Demystified A Self Teaching Guide by David McMahon. I purchased thisbook in 2007. Read chapter 1 and 2 in that year. Did not get past chapter 2, but did complete chapter 2. May had gotten busy with other things, most probably found the subject matter incomprehensible, difficult, tough, .... This book made it possible for me to understand the basic mathematics required for the topic. I revisited it again in 2019 and 2020, as you can see.Had it not been for David McMahon's book, Schrodinger Equation may not been a subject matter I could understand. I admit I may still be incomplete on its understanding. So there maybe mistakes here that you can easily spot. Apologies in advance.Example were needed to supplement the theory, this is why this book was suitable for me. There are a few examples from other textbook(s) in the study notes.Its mainly the mathematics technique required and applied to understand some of the undergraduate Schrodinger Equation subject matter.Approximately 85 pages
