There is in a Mathcad 15 file with the problem of a circle an a point - a finding a distance between a circle an a point. Help me please to create same function for an ellipse!

hi all,  i'm running a recent install of Prime 4.0 on Win 10. i'm doing a bit of matrix math. Using eignenval is fine but eigenvecs is problematic. It might solve once or twice but when i go back up to change a parameter value, the sheet tries to recalculate eigenvecs, stalls for ~10 seconds, then shuts itself off! sheet is attached.   cheers, blake

O.K. I have saved this file in  compressed folder .   I have tried to open it repeatedly and I am told it is not a valid XML file.  Why does this occur and how can I correct it

I am a korean so I can't write well about my questions. But I will try to write.I want to express 'Loop'. Let's we suppose two equations. One is X=Y^2+2Y+3. The last is Y=X^2+3X+5.I can find adequate value by finding convergence between X and Y. But I can't express in MATHCAD. I think I need to use 'While' to express..How can I express it to use 'while'?

My Mathcad 15 refuses to open XMCD files: The error message is "Not a valid XML file".Am running on WIndows XP Pro.Before this happening, MCAD crashed, with a message indicating that it had to close due to internal error. But it wouldn't close, I had to shut it down manually (Task Mgr). Have restarted MCAD and then Rebooted the PC, it is still giving me the Non XML file error?Any advice on that much appreciated. I am in the middle of a big HomeWork that is due Monday and this is a terrible set back. Should have stuck with 2001!Are there any programs that 15 is known not to like to work side by side with?I usually need to have Word, Excel, Adobe reader and the browser (Firefox) open while doing the Mathcad tasks.Thanks for any help on that. Would I need to reload 15? This scares me due to the difficulties I had to get my Student licence going. Thank you.

Hello, I have some detailed 2 or 3 page calculations that yield a final stress number. I want to put these detailed calculations at the back of the .mcdx in an Appendix on page 5 or page 6. I would like to keep the end result i.e. the stress on page 1  sort of like this.. S=10ksi    (for details please refer to Appendix A on pages 6 thru 😎   I would like S=10ksi value to change if I change something in the Appendix on pages 6 thru 8. Sort of reverse of what happens in a regular .mcdx file where the calculations are before the final value.   Is this possible? Any ideas?

Hi, I want to calculate the center of gravity of all parts above various cross sections (k0, k1 & k2). So in the picture below, I calculate the center of gravity of m1, m2 and m3 at cross section k0. The next row would be to calculate the COG of m2 and m3 at k1 - and so on.    I would like to express this with a simple equation. Would appreciate any help.  

In the attached worksheet (Mathcad 15) d is apparently undefined. Why is this, it is defined before the solve block as a guess? I assume I am overlooking the obvious

Hi, MCAD15 I want to output different tables (matrix) in one excel table component on my MCAD worksheet. So, I have to format excel cells (auto fit width and height) before output. Here attached I upload such component for those who need this. I add a component with subscript, superscript and line feed formatting also.  

I was getting a few of views on this but no replies (I'm assuming) because my files were in Prime 4.0.  I've added some more files viewable without 4.0.   I'm having trouble creating a program with an if statement that has three ranges, i, j, & k.  Results would be a matrix with k submatrices each with i rows and j columns.  See attached.

Hello folks,   I'm currently doing data fits in a bulk; i.e. several hundred sets. Therefore, I'd like to automate this. Some data sets seemed peculiar and I noticed an odd behaviour when it comes to exponential fitting; see attached file. In two different data sets, which are very similar, Mathcad's expfit function determines vastly different coefficients. Does any body has a remedy for this or can explain it?   I'm using MC15 on a 64 bit Win 7 machine. Thanks Raiko

Hello, I am working on creating a model to design an wastewater treatment process. I have set up the mass balances and but keep getting function errors dealing with the flow, which I am hoping to be able to change in further iterations to see how the system will handle it. I have checked and the guesses are within a reasonable range. I have reworked this many times and have been unable to get any answers. I am very new to mathCAD so I could be missing something relatively simple, I appreciate any help you all can give me!

Hi, I  recently obtained a research script based on mathcad (old version) by my colleague and i tried to follow the sequence using Mathcad Prime v3.1. But it shows error after copying the whole sequence on Prime.  The aim is to produce several acceleration graph as seen in the file images. The script image named after capture 1 to 4. The error image i encountered was in Error 1. Really appreciate if someone can rewrite it in Mathcad Prime version would be helpful for my research in earthquake seismic design.   Thank you.    

Hello, I have the following question: does Mathcad have any functions to create folders and subfolders? I have to write many Excel files in folders and subfolders that do not exist. I generate the Excel files but I do not know how to create the folders. I work with Mathcad 3.1 and Windows 7.
