Hello!I try once more. This time with attached mathcadfile. I have a problem in Mathcad Prime 3.1.When I solve an equation and want to use the solution, I can't manage to get the answer to be numerical.This prevents me to define a variable that can be used in further expressions.How can I solve the equation V ( x ) = 0 and get the answer to a variable I can use further to put into an another function?As of my understading the problem is that the function doesn't understand the unit of x and it doesn't think the units are right in the final expression. Hello all!I am working on a problem in MathCAD 15.0. I am Trying to find the solution to a system of inequations I am using the given...find() blockI have successfully defined my constants, functions and constraints and at the end of the block I get some result which is partially good with the stress on partially.I have several constraints and some of them mgiht be contradictive. I was prepared that the set of constraints that I have defined could yield a "no solution found" but the solver gave me a solution instead which does not fulfill all constraints.Unfortunately I cannot share my work but this attached picture demonstrates my problem quite well.My questions are therefore: What determines which constraints are kept and which will be violated? (I tried moving the contraint around to see if the order matters but I had no luck)Is there a way to control the priority of contraints? (e.g.: create hard and soft requirements)Is there a way to disable priorities (i.e.: every contraint must

Hi,I didn't want to do this publicly, but since PTC has removed (or at least, very well hidden) the private message option on this forum, I don't know how to share this with only the people who asked anymore...Here is a very basic evaluation file for Maple (v18). It doesn't do much, just shows some of the existing features, the ones that I personally would use the most, or find useful of fun. It is not meant to be exhaustive, far from it. I also haven't done the "import" section, because I am a bit lazy ( ) and it is not a feature I use much.If anyone has questions, please ask. I don't mind adding a few bits on the document to show capabilities, but I won't spend hours on it...There is a free viewer on Maplesoft's website : Free Maple Player - Maplesoft . I haven't tried it, so I have no idea what it does . For people who don't want to install it, I printed the file as PDF, it doesn't look as good (especially the graph section), but it does the job.Personally, I have made my opinion.

Hi all,I have plotted a angle of the function Omega(x,q). I want to be able to create highlighted contour lines at any given value. For example, the contour plot typically displays angle values from ~60 to 0 degrees and I want to clearly show the 30 degree line. I may want to show the 32.5 or 4.2 degree or whatever I choose. Is it possible in MathCAD 14? Thanks for any help.

To allI am sure I have seen discussion on the topic in the past but my search drew a blank. I am looking for the "best" method to interpolate a value when 3 ratios are required to get to the value desired, see attached doc for extract of table I am working withsteps areestablish ratio 1 (R1 = m1/m2)establish ratio 2 (R2 = I1/I2)establish ratio 3 (R3 = L1/L2)with this 3 ratios get value lambdaas you can see if any of the ratio is between know values, one needs some kind of interpolation. In my calculation-sheet i use a reference link to the mathcad-file (with the variables)My dream is that i have an excel file with the variables. From there i want to use a vba script to generate the xml code in order to use the variables as an mathcad-file.First of all: Do you understand what i mean?second: As someone done something like this before?Has someone an overview for the xml syntax?Greetings

Hello!I am faced with a math problem using a system of several inequations. A colleague suggested to use MathCAD´s numeric solver for the problem.I am new to MathCAD and fell that I am making a silly mistake but I can not find what exactly.I would like to simplify my equations by defining some values but this in turn will mess with the solver.I have attached a very simple example of what I am trying to do.Please tell me my silly mistake so I can move on to solve my real problem Thank you!

I have found what looks to be a lot of usfull examples on the PTC website but many of them are Prime files, whereas I have MathCAD 15. Is there a way to see the content of of the .mcdx files without prime?Thanks,

Hi,I have a MathCAD spreadsheet that I would like to use in Excel.What I want it to do, quite simply, is this:In Excel, I have about 10 inputs. I want to take these inputs, and put them into variables in MathCAD.The MathCAD sheet will then do its calculation and return 1 variable.I will take that 1 variable, and put it back into Excel.How do I get Excel to do this?Thanks

Hi,I'm relatively new to Mathcad, and very new to programming. What I would like to do is use a range for a indexed value in a vector (this is my input) and have an output for each value used in the range. One issue is that there are a significant amount of steps from the input to the output, and I don't think it's realistic (for me anyway) to write a program to do the whole thing. Attached is the mathcad sheet I'm using. The vector I'm looking at is highlighted in yellow on page 4. The value I want to input as a range is the third row. The output is on page 15, also highlighted in yellow. It would save me a ton of time if I was able to use multiple values in that third row instead of changing it every time.Hopefully that makes some sense. Thanks!

Hi there,I'm poking around in MathCAD trying to get through a pelton wheel design. I was looking forward to writing equations and telling MathCAD to solve them, even simple single variable ones. It seems to work okay but it's quite clunky, and my most recent one simply wont solve.Could someone please look at this and suggest best practices and also perhaps a way to fix my last solve? Is there a 'sleeker' way to do solves? In some similar programs you can just throw a ----> and it automatically selects, solves, spits out, and defines the variable

I have a problem where I go to install Mathcad 14 off the install CD and it fails to register about 20 - 30 different files. It also seems that it is missing files too. I tried running as administrator but to no luck. Anyone know a solution? Here is an example of the one of many files that are missing.

HiI downloaded MATHCAD prime 3.1 and was trying to open a mathcad file (*.mcd). I am not able to open. I have only the thirty day free trial and the "converter is disabled".The Mathcad files come from a textbook I have adopted for the class. thanksrungun
