Hi,I am attempting to solve a linear system with mixed units, but I am having great difficulties. I have read that 0's within the matrix must have assigned units. However I still get errors.Worksheet attached - linear system on page 2.Working in Mathcad 15Any ideas? Thanks

Hello everyone,I am trying to create a plot to find the critical phase angle affecting a pipe.When I created the calculation in Mathcad15 everything works fine. See the file attached.When I reproduced the calculation in MathcadPrime3.0, I am getting errors such as "the variable is undefined", "plotting failed", etc. See the file attachedCan someone please let me know how to fix the MathcadPrime3.0 calculation?I am having trouble calculating the lift of drag force for several values and then using these to create a plot. If input F(4) or F(6) everything is fine. But if I say F(x), and x is a matrix with several values, then the equation crashes.I would really appreciate your help.Thanks!-Ritchie

Hi guys,Can you please help me with the following problem. I am not an expert in mathcad.i want to draw "t" vs final "finalCoOEPcon" in the attached mathcad sheet and Mathcad keeps giving the error that the "value must be real" which i believe is real.so i have two questions:1- is the way that i wrote the "equation A" is right in mathcad for solving for "t"? 2-can you help me with some hint that how i can make this curve please?thank you very much

Hello,I'm wondering if it is possible for MathCad to do an optimizing routine using max or min but with a given set of parameters. An example is one of the attached in where I use u(x) and g(x,r), where I want to allow for the input of r during the optimization. Additionally, would it be possible to graph the optimized set as a function as well in terms of a variable x & r. (for any given r, the maximum x is a set value as the rest of parameters are just scalar values, thus I would like to get the optimized value of x as a function of r) I'm assuming the opt x for a given r can be done via a vector output from a solve block routine as a function?

I don't know well wht I got error cotinually. I am shy to post often.

Hello, i have problem with Mathcad 15 how to calculate 4(x-5)(x-6). I want receive polynomian 4 x^2 + 44x + 120.I also have a second problem, when i calculate matrix i receive simple table like in Excel program, how to change view this matrix to ordinar view.

I developed this analysis for a court case I was working on.  I operated on about 100 years of precipitation data. The mean and median of the data set are quite close together.   I developed probability plots as well as histograms of the data.  I then did an autocorrelation analysis.  Turns out the annual precipitation data appears to follow a normal distribution and the data is not autocorrelated.  It therefore appears that statistical tests for the normal distribution can be used to make predictions about future precipitation amounts.

The question of how to save the state of controls in a Mathcad worksheet comes up so often I decided to post the answer somewhere I can easily find it and post a link to it!There are two approaches:1)  Save the state of the control in the worksheet custom metadata. This  method will work in versions 13, 14 and 15, but not in versions 11 or  earlier (I"m not sure about version 12).2) Save the state of the control in a textbox. This will work in all versions 11 and later, and maybe some earlier versions too.There are some things to be aware of when using them.Firstly,  in version 11 if the result of calling a function is not displayed, and  it's also not assigned to any variable, Mathcad does not calculate it.  That means that if you use method 2 and put the SaveData function in a  collapsed area it will not work. When I close the worksheet I can not save a listbox selection that is dependent on a previous listbox selection. The first listbox I was able to save the selection using the Metadata , but I could not figure out how to get it to work with the second list box.

Hello All,I am running my program for a few thousand cases. Unfortunately when one case has error, the program stops on that case. How can I address the program to jump over the erroneous cases and continue the calculation? Another question: is it possible to find out about the progression, for example how many cases has been left or required time estimation? Thank you.

Hi all,This should be a simple problem to solve for anyone with experience with Mathcad, I wish I had the patience to figure it out for myself, but I don't.I have an asset list made up of thousands of item numbers and there associated item costs, from this list I have been given a selection of item numbers of which I would like to determine there costs.Could anyone provide me with a programme where I can input the list item numbers and their costs will automatically be found, im sure similar questions have been asked, so possibly you could direct me to link.Much appreciated,James

Hello,How can I randomly select an element of a matrix ?

I recently got a new PC running Windows8.1. I used to run Mcad v11 on an XP machine which worked perfectly. It installs on the Win8.1 machine but doesn't run. In researching this I've found numerous postings in this forum about problems with "Prime" and Mcad v15 (evidently the last of the old Mathcad products) not being compatible with Win8.1 and/or not being able to run the old .mcd documents. I'm at a loss what to make of all this. I have 20 years of Matchcad documents that are currently useless. Does PTC have a recommended migration path from Mcad v11 to one of its current products (that works with Win8.1 and dosen't cost USD1,600?).
