Mathcad

Hi!I'm trying to run Mathcad Prime 9.0 through API. I downloaded the C# example solution and trying to open the application by pressing the button "Start Mathcad Prime". https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r9.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/API/example-2_ms_dev_studio.html# However, I get the following error: Problem to connect Mathcad Prime: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {A00E8B95-D415-433F-A04E-D298A54A7BB7} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)). I've been googling and using AI for few hours now to fix the problem, but nothing seems to solve the issue. Is there anyone here that could help? Thank you so much!

How to remove collapsible area line while generating PDF in MATHCAD Prime

I've looked through some other topics, and it seems like there is currently no way to hide keywords and modifiers, is this correct? These types of calculations must always look cluttered?Also, when using explicit,ALL with any non-exact result, you always seem to get a full display of precision. Using Round(x,x) seems to work okay, but this only adds to the clutter of an already "explicit,ALL" cluttered calculation. Using float,x is not much better, if not worse.  It seems like the only way to make a clean looking calculation is to double down calculations within areas that can be hidden. But these is a problem with this also... sigh...Not sure why the order of the values is backwards when you remove the "explicit,ALL" part. It doesn't seem to matter how you write the equation, 16in comes first, then 4ft. This would have been a decent workaround, if not for the annoying order in which the substitution is displayed. Can this be fixed?   I honestly

In my attached Mathcad 15 worksheet, I am trying to compute an IFFT of an analytic function of frequency for a know time function.  To display the desired bandwidth, I have to use a large number of points.  Time points = 2^m and frequency point = 2^(m-1) where m=24.  The final plot will not plot due to the maximum plot points unless the step size is at least 70.  The way I have reduced the plot points means there are only 2 points between the first time point and the next time point at step x Dt.  I tried to do an interpolation from the original vectors to fewer time points; it ran forever.  Maybe user error on the linterp function.  Attached is the xmcd file.  Auto calculation is turned off.  The calculation time on my old PC is about 15 seconds.1.  Can linterp not interpolate to fewer points?2.  Is there a better alternative to what I have done?Thanks much.

How to solve this problem 

I tried to find a solution this but so far no results. This works in Smath as is, but now I'm trying to transform all my formulas to new software, Mathcad does not seem to like how it is calculated.Can you tell me what I should do to make it work?  lamda2*L2 can be calculated separatedly, but not within the formula.. 

I often have large arrays created by reading big .csv files. When I want to navigate through these arrays, it is often difficult to precisely locate the spot I want due to the behavior of dragging that inset dark box within the large light grey one. I've searched the forums and other sources for a keyboard navigation technique for Prime, but cannot find one. Is there a way to incrementally navigate through an array...like we used to be able to easily do in "Mathsoft" Mathcad? Maybe there is some Windows adjustment that will work, but I've already turned-down the sensitivity of my pointer and selected "Enhance pointer precision"...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to figure it out. There are several posts that show examples of explicit working quite well, but for some reason I can't get it to work.Here is what I'm trying to replicate:And this is what I get: Also, is there any way to hide the whole "explicit,a,b,c" part? Thanks in advance. 

Hi - how do I tell Mathcad Prime to include an initial condition when symbolically integrating?  I want the initial value of my function to be 0.1 at time t=0.  See attached. thank you,russ

I wish to map calculation results in a 2D matrix onto the surface of a hemisphere to produce a "heart map" showing the magnitide (colour) and orientation of the maxima and minima in the dataset. The matrix data are the result of calculation of stresses on a plane for a grid that has been incremented by 15 degrees in the polar and azimuthal directions. I can generate a hemisphere with the appropriate 15 degree grid but do not know how to map my data to this grid. Can it be done? Any assistance would be appreciated.CheersRoss 

I'm trying to find the effective stress, I wrote a program in mathcad however the result was zero always I think the error occurs because of the depth . Since I need to use the previous depth of each stress and not the depth in the same point. Can anyone please help me?Also I need to find the midden value but not sure how to find that in excel  in mathcad   

Solve it for Mathcad 15

Well, I could not, for a long time, view Mathcad 14 and 15 sheets. Unitil now. For those of you who are in the same position: see attachment. Download, unpack, and execute it. Yes, it's an .exe file. But go ahead and, before use, test it for viruses to ascertain it contains none. I did not put any in, so please tell me if you find any. On small sheet files it runs quickly, but larger files take time (seconds, minutes, tens of minutes). You'll just have to be patient sometimes. Oh, and it does have bugs (couldn't name you one now, but I'm sure they are in there), and things it can't do (yet...). It's a start, so far. (There's an 'info' text that you can double-click in the bottom-left corner) But most of all, enjoy it.   Luc

I need to refactor my pc soon in order to fix/isolate a bug that has been hindering my work. I have a mathcad 10 licence that i got from the school. I activated the code a few days ago and now i dont know how i can keep the license when i refactor my computer. I have saved the license file just in case but im not sure if it will help. any Ideas?

Good evening.I would like to implement a MATHCAD PRIME worksheet to map a solution on a circle to another domain. This technique is well known as conformal transformation. However, I tried to solve it numerically without success. I use this to predict the potential flow pressures around a body in 2D. Does anyone knows if this problem has already beel solved and indicating in which thread? I tried with the search function on the website, but no results. Thanks in advance for the support. 

Hello! I'm new to Mathcad (using it this semester in my university, and we are using the Mathcad 15 version, not prime), and i have a problem. I tried to do quantum harmonic oscillator using transfer matrix, as this is the subject right now. The teacher gave us an exemple problem, i tried to re-do it, and i got an error saying "This value must be integer" (it's error from the RR[j] = T(E[j]) line, and the start of the problem is K(i,E) as it seems it doesn't really recognise Vk). My teacher doesn't know exactly what's the problem, so i tried to get help here because it seems the best place.Does anyone know how can i solve it? Thanks in advance!

I am using ptc mathcad. I am faced with a problem, i have derived an equation and when I plug in the values there is a constant adding with a variable like (1+a1) or (1-a1) the software shows an error that the units are not compatible. Well if the equation solved the unit in the nominator and denominatio cancel each other. What can i do to fix the issue. its like it considers constants to have a unit

I am hoping you can help. As you can see below, I would like B17 to be 32.95, as if B15 is 0.005 and above, it should round up. And if it is 0.004 and below, it should round down. you can 

What does a vector mean in MathCad? I often get the same error but in different functions 

Hi there,  we have so many inputs I need to write a program to tell mathcad , if the input matrix or table has less than 700 rows don't include it in the calculation. Can you help me doing this , please? The sheet is attached . For example I don't want Mathcad to do the calculation for CPT3 because it has less rows than 700 

I'd like to check a simple-span beam for the effects of a torsion load along the beam span. This requires some element-wise operations as well as a function for angle of rotation. Attached is the portion of the sheet where I'm running into a vector/scalar error. I'm running Prime version 7.0. I'd like for the output to include the first, second and third derivatives of the angle of rotation at 3 points along the beam span (the load point in addition to both ends of the beam). Is there a good way to manipulate the matrix setup or include the derivative functions within the main function in order to produce an output?
