When I calculate section properties for a beam, I usually run AutoCAD's MASSPROP command on the section and then do any additional analysis in MathCAD. I'm often doing composite beams, beams with custom shapes, etc. so I can't rely on magic formulas for specific shapes. There are a few properties that I haven't been able to calculate as easily, such as the torsional constant, warping constant, plastic section modulus about plastic section centroid, and monosymmetry constant. These are found using finite element analysis. I have a python API written by Robbie van Leeuwen called SECTIONPROPERTIES, and it's great but my colleagues don't know how to use Python. I am trying to program a series of iteration in mathcad, and i can't seem to program the part that I needed to get a good result. Can someone help me proofread my program? my dependent variable is c3 = 1, 1.1, kd2 that will be programmed to 2 different set of rules, if c3<cbal , Fy and if c3>=cbal , (600(d-c3))/c3 My F(c3) and Mcr is not showing a result of array. My workflow in MathCAD has evolved over the years since Prime 3.5. Prior to Prime 6-ish, I figured out that the best way to organize a sheet is to create text fields, and then create math fields in that text field so that my math is in line with my text. This gets around a few bugs with editing. Anyways, I discovered a bug a while back and expected it to be fixed by Prime 9, but I downloaded Prime 9 and it is still not fixed. Here it is:  When working in a text field, if I copy some math and text and then paste it in a text field below it, the math doesn't paste. Above is an example of this bug in action. Everything you see below is math and text in the same text field.  Is there a patch, or does anyone know a better way to work around the bugs in MathCAD Prime and still use all of the latest features? I don't want to downgrade to Prime 5 because all of my best worksheets are saved in higher versions.

Hi all I have created a set of Datum Points in Creo. In my case there are 28 points, from P0 to P27. Those points have been imported from a .pts file.Originally, there were 28 points from an xls file, which i copy pasted in a .txt file, I renamed that file to .pts and imported as shown in the screenshot.  So in Creo i got a single feature (Datum point id 66) that has all those datum points. What I want to do now.I want to link those points in mathcad. Ideally would be a matrix with 28 rows and 3 colums. The 3 columns should be x, y z.Or 4 columns (the first would be the label column P0 etc..). What I am doing at this moment.I copy paste directly the coords from xls file to mathcad. Mathcad creates a table where i can label the columns and i can manipulate easily the data from that table to my calculations. Obviously there is not any input from Creo. My question is.Is any way to import the table with the coordinates of the 28 points from Creo to Mathcad as a tab

I bought Mathcad 14 over 10 years ago and haven't really used it yet. I have many E books listed in the help dropdown. How do I move a function from a handbook directly into a Mathcad 14 program (project?), so I can use it there?       

I am using Mathcad 14 and have Mathcad work sheets from many years ago in which I used the function splin2, but it does not work now (error).  Bard AI search says the function has been "deprecated" in Mathcad 14, but the "the Mathcad Classic add-in" can add the splin2 function back into my Mathcad 14 program.    Can you help me find the Mathcad Classic add-in?

Beware of using the "stack" function with mixed unit matrices containing zero terms without units. Prime seems to "leak" the units from another term to the unitless zero terms:  Given that Prime is fairly pedantic about using units  - even on zero terms- subsequent computations using 0.N instead of 0 will fall over. This can unwittingly happen when radians are used, and you expect the value to remain a pure ratio. The get around is to ensure radians are inserted at source - even though Prime strips them off in subsequent results: If you copy and paste this result, into another expression, the rad unit will get swapped out for another:  However, this is of no help if the zero value is not an angle e.g. a zero count value.   

Can someone recognize these types of charts and which software they were done from? Are these from Mathcad Prime or Matlab or any other software you may know of? Can these be done in Mathcad Prime 3 aswell?
