Hi guys,   I am trying to figure out how to customize the KPI calculations on a shape level and not equipment level.  Is this possible?    For instance in my system quality is always 100%.  I tried changing the QualityRatio_Calculate service on the PTC.SCA.SCO.QualityRatioThingShape thing shape but that is not possible.  Where can I set this then because it has to be true for all assets.   Any assistance is welcome.

I've got a problem in the Asset Advisor. My Slider from the status timeline overview is gone, i couldn't either configure the time interval manually.   Which Entity could cause that problem ?    Thanks for any help!

Has anyone implemented ThingWorx Asset Adviser? I would like to know what data points did you collect from your machines? What roadblocks or issues you ran into while you were implementing predictive maintenance? I would love to connect and see if you can share some of your experience that can help me avoid mistakes that everyone makes during predictive maintenance implementation?   Thank you in advance for the help!

Hello,   As shown in attached image, I am trying to add an asset in the Asset advisor Configuration page. But I am getting the error as shown in the pic. I tried editing the PhysicalAssetThingTemplate template but it is not editable as it is from the extension. Am I missing out something here? But I have no problem in doing the same in older version of Thingworx. Current Version: 8.5.0-b12.   Thanks in advance.

I am following the example in the Thingworx-customization-guide-8.4.1 on page 94 the example shows how to change the device list that is displayed in the Control Advisor.   I am however unable to change the grid in the mashup. I tried doing it on the existing mashup as well as a duplicate. In both cases I am unable to save any changes.   Anyone else maybe had the same problem?

Hello I'm trying to connect Thingworx Industrial Connectivity to Thingworx. Upon doing so I keep getting an error message of: Date Time Level Source Event10/16/2019 9:48:50 AM Error ThingWorx Native Interface Connection to ThingWorx failed. | Platform = http://XXXXX:80/Thingworx/Composer, error = the host could not be resolved.   I have checked the Thingworx link matches, the app key is correct, and the Thing name matches exactly to the Thing name in Thingworx.    

I created a Thing Template with a base template of PTC.ISA95.PhysicalAssetBaseThingTemplate.   I created a Thing through the Configuration and Setup mashup. I saved and then went back to add a picture. I am unable to save any edits to the General Information section.   I can click on the save button but no confirmation message appears. If I navigate away the changes have also not been saved when I go back to General Information.   Is there a service or anything I need to validate in order to save?

I need to change plan time to "08:00 - 17:00". But, It's error like below picture. How to change it???   And I need to make multi shift plan time. How to do that?  

Hello, I am trying to determine if Asset Advisor and Production Advisor meets my requirements.  I want to be able to change the default status of my asset if something happened on the plant and also add a comment to an asset to log any anomalies or things that occur on the plant.  Is it possible to customize Asset Advisor to be able to override the default status in real time and add a comment?   I tried doing this in the free trail but if I try and add a label to the mashup it does not appear in the Asset Advisor dashboard in the App suite. Perhaps I am doing it incorrectly or I am not allowed to   Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi all, I 'm trying to configure notifications in case of alerts. see attachment. I created an user, MaintenanceManager role, adding my e-mail as recipient (not gmail) but I don't receive any notification, even if the alert is active. In ThingWorx monitoring I can see the error: Error sending notification for Notification Handler PTC.SCA.Common.AlertNotification.MailServer Entity [PTC.SCA.Common.AlertNotification.MailServer] service [Notify] requires Administrator privileges Can you please help? thanks! I have 2 VMs VM1. MS Window Server 2016 with ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps and KepserverEX 6.6 VM2. MS Window 7 with RSLogix 5000 and SoftLogix.   These 2 VM can ping each other.   In VM.2, I create a PLC program, download into SoftLogix and simulate some data.   In VM.1, I configure the tag in KepserverEx and check the data in OPC Client already. In ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps, I add new machine and try to configure the KPI. But in the configuration and setup, when I browse into PLC tag. I cannot see the tag I just add into KepserverEX. I found just the simulate tag, not tag from SoftLogix.   RSLogix5000 and SoftLogix   KepserverEX   OPC Client   ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps : Controls advisor   Cannot find Tag in Kepserver that added from Softlogix   Find Just Simulated Tag in Kepserver.   I try to change from Kepserver to Industrial Connectivity, but the result is the same. Hello, I'm trying to work with the planned operation time. At this plant, it is a three shift system and first shift starts at 7 am. Is there a way to work with the planned production time clock without upsetting it's need to be within one calendar day? Right now when I say something like 7am and set the duration to 23:59, it will not let me.    Also, I'm not 100% sure how the OEE quality and performance math works. Because of shifts, we reset out parts count at the end of every shift, so there will be three drops to zero in any production day. Will this be alright for the calculator?   Thanks

I could see that it is possible to sequence and link work definitions to provide hierarchy of a complete work flow in Operator Advisor guide doc, but I am not sure how this can be done.    Can someone advise me on the steps to link work definitions and how this can be done from the back end services.

Following this guide, on 8.4.0 I am running into this issue.  I have to log into composer and then navigate to the runtime. Login fails in the Runtime/WelcomeForm.  This is fine to play with the trial edition, but for production I need to direct people to the Welcome screen to log in.  Is this just a trial edition bug?

Hello,   I'm trying to fill out the status page of the configuration section for an asset. For the fields that have to do with time, it seems to want tags with boolean outputs, but the tags I have access to are outputting numerical values. Is there a way to say "if tag is increasing, value = true; if tag is static, value = false"? This list of avaliable operators seems a bit limited, but I'm hoping there is something I'm overlooking.    Thanks

We have two OPC UA Clients (PC) and want to communicate between them using KepServerEx. There i no PLC involved!!!   Is this possible? if it is, which driver should I use?   The clients are Pi System and a customer specific program.

Hi, I've  added a new til in DataTable and it shows in Mfg, after following the guide in hingworx Apps Customization Guide 8.4.1 page 102.   1. TileIcon: I've made an icon for my tile under Media. It's supposed to be 80pixel high, but it filles the tile when viewed in runtime. It's a png-file. What file formats are supported?   2. TileLabel: For the Mfg Apps the tile label is a resource set in double square brackets [[PTC.SCA.SCA.....]]. I'm not able to source this resource in Twx to duplicate it. How is this handled? Please advice.  I've tried to add a ToolTip text instead, but this does not show on the Tile   3. TileDescription: as TileLabel

Anyone ever used OPC Alarm & Events to bring alarm information to Thingworx ? How can this be done ? Purpose is centralizing alarms from different SCADA systems (all being OPC A&E server) into one central platform, Thingworx. Can the OPC Alarm & Event information being logged into Thingworx ?

Hi, in the Thingworx Application Development Guide 1.0 on page 75 it's given Naming Guidelines for Reusable Components. It states to use a dot in the namespace.   When I use a dot I get the message: "Name contains invalid characters"   Are there any way around this or is it a recerved character for PTC developers?   Thingworx 8.4.1-b2126 Thingworx Apps 8.4.2-00
