Hi, I am trying to install Thingworx Manufacturing App. The "Production advisor" is missing. Does anyone know how i can fix this? bha1
Right now filters are mapped to the following: NOT_CONFIGURED(0), WARNING(1), RUNNING(2), PLANNED_DOWNTIME(3), UNPLANNED_DOWNTIME(4), UNAVAILABLE(5) We are not connected to a KepServer, so we are not able to create logic per asset in asset advisor. In order to work around this, we are overriding the PTC.Factory.StatusExpressionResourceProvider.CustomizedStatusEvaluation. However, trying to bin our more complex states into these fields leaves people needing a decoder ring to figure out the actual state. What I would like to do is re-map the fields above to match the states we have already defined for our things. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
Hi, I noticed the PTC Servlet engine in Manufacturing Apps contains large log files (see attached picture). What are these files and why are they created? Can these files be deleted and how do we manage them in automatic manner?

Hello. I'm trying to connect a remote computer with KepServerEX (v. 6.3) with TW Manufacturing App (v. 8.1) running in PTC cloud. I've reviewed all the need configuration from both side, but I can't get the connection between KepServer and TW, even though it is possible to access the ThingWorx Composer from KepServer computer. From the KepServer computer, the error message is the following: 06/03/2018 11:48:20 Debug ThingWorx Diagnostics [DEBUG] 2018-03-06 14:48:19,904 ws_on_headers_complete: Websocket connected!06/03/2018 11:48:20 Debug ThingWorx Diagnostics [INFO] 2018-03-06 14:48:19,904 twWs_Connect: Websocket connected!06/03/2018 11:48:20 Debug ThingWorx Diagnostics [TRACE] 2018-03-06 14:48:19,905 msgHandlerOnConnect: WEBSOCKET CONNECTED06/03/2018 11:48:20 Debug ThingWorx Diagnostics [DEBUG] 2018-03-06 14:48:19,905 twWs_SendMessage: Sent 60 bytes using 1 frames.06/03/2018 11:48:20 Debug ThingWorx Diagnostics [TRACE] 2018-03-06 14:48:19,905 twMessage_Send: Mes

My question is more related to the flexibility of these new Apps included in the Advisor Control group of solutions.1) Are the source files open so an Application Engineer can modify the logics, add functions, display new dashboard etc?2) Where and when would we able the commercial information about these new Apps?3) Would there be any free demos?Thank you
The ThingWorx Mfg Apps 8.0.0 guide references the Asset Simulator - where can we download this from?
We get the following error when trying to start Thingworx.[message: Unable to initialize and start system: Connections could not be acquired from the underlying database!]Our Tomcat service seems to be starting okay, but not Thingworx. We are trying to use Thingworx 8.0 on Tomcat 8.5. I found one article that dealt with this for Thingworx 6.6 but the file mentioned there does not seem to exist here.I know this is probably a credentials error, so I am wondering if other than the platform-settings.json file in the ThingworxPlatform dir is there any other place where the credentials are stored? If I modify this file with a different username or password, then Tomcat stops working, so the password and username are valid at least for tomcat.Thanks.
Hi team,I am trying to deploy the "DemoFactoryPackage" from https://www.ptc.com/en/thingworx/manufacturing-apps/Dashboard/Get-Started/Configuring-the-Apps-with-Demo-Data-Set-and-Si…for simulating data of Assets and lines between KepServerEx 6 and Thingworx 8.0 MannufacturingApps. But after doing the import of the File DemoFactoryDataSet.zip on the MannufacturingApps I don't find any of the Assets in the MannufacturingApp or Thingworx Composer. Are the files on the link above wrong (I see a difference in the name, in the guide i see "DemoFactoryData-05-17-2017.zip" while in the current file is "DemoFactoryDataSet.zip")?Thank you.
You may notice that some older posts are surfacing to the top of your content lists. This is related to content updates that the team is doing ahead of our migration to Lithium. The default for filtering content is "Sort by latest activity: newest first" which is why you may be seeing older posts that look as if they are new. Please change your drop down option to "Sort by date created: newest first" (see screen shot below) and you will see the new posts that were created recently. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work toward a smooth migration to the Lithium platform. If you have questions about the migration, please visit the Lithium Migration Essentials group where you can read the FAQ, get up to speed on the timeline and changes, and ask any questions you may have.
I tried to install the 30-days Manufacturing Apps Developer kit Edition but encountered this error "You are not entitled to the Composer feature. Please contact your PTC account team" when running the composer. Is not the developer version should allow access to Composer?
I was reading about it here: https://www.ptc.com/en/products/service-lifecycle-management/thingworx-asset-advisorWhere to download it from? I was trying to go to: ThingWorx IoT Marketplacebut there is no download page. I have Thingworx 8.1.1 installed on Ubuntu AWS AMI instance with Postgres DB.There is also an interesting application to see how I can build mashup similar to this app:https://learningexchange.ptc.com/tutorial/5651/workshop-for-developers-2-custom-asset-viewer-applicationI need to build an app similar like Axeda (with its pre-builit asset management screen and to drill down to each asset/device to see its status, alarms, data values) and I was wondering if I can start from an existing Thingworx app and modify it and go from there? In the case of asset advisor this seem to be an app so I was wondering how to start creating my own app based on this or other apps available (are they just custom extension with packaged entities (like advisor app) : Thigns, MediaEntities
Hi,We have an Atlas Capco Power Focus 6000 connected with wrenches. For a demo, we want to connect this machine with Thingworx or Kepware. Let us know if there are any step by step instructions to complete this activity.Power Focus 6000 - Atlas CopcoRegards,Thadeus.D
Both of these products can work with KEPServerEX, but it seems that ThingWorx Asset Advisor for service is advertized as separate fromThingWorx Asset Advisor app for manufacturing. What is exactly difference and where to find videos/screenshots of these differences? This is what I understand so far:ThingWorx Asset Advisor app for manufacturing - belongs to Smart Connected Operations licensing and one can obtain it via:PTC Smart Connected Applications | Release APPs | ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps ExtensionThingWorx Asset Advisor for service - belongs to Smart Connected Products licensing and one can obtain it via:PTC Smart Connected Applications | Release APPs | Asset Advisor for Service ExtensionThanks
Hello all, I am trying to add a column to the Tree Grid Advanced Widget called "treegridadvanced_plantnetwork" in the PTC.Factory.PlantStatus Mashup (editable copy). I think I've managed to trace down the Data Shape responsible for the Columns, so correct me if I took a misstep somewhere: Data for the grid comes from the "GetPlantNetwork" Service under the "PTC.Factory.PlantStatusUtils" Thing. And the Data Shape that the "GetPlantNetwork" Service uses is "PTC.Factory.PlantStatusTreeDataShape". I was hoping to be able to add a Field under Field Definitions, but it is not editable. I was also unable to find a PTC.Factory.C_PlantStatusTreeDataShape_[version] type Thing. Am I going about this the wrong way? Thanks in advance for any help.
HI,I installed tomcat 8.5 but i am not getting the keystore password by default so my thingworx is not starting up. Please help in resolving the issue?Thank you,V.Shalini
I have struggled to get the installer to complete. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have set permissions to full control where applicable. The JAVA install completes but the PostgreSQL steps don't complete.
