Hi there, I am searching for a way to programmatically create Annotation Sets & Groups for Creo View. The reason is that I want to analyze different assemblies in the same style like coloring parts by IDs due to different functions or states of the parts. The groups are needed for hiding those different functions within an Annotation Set. I analyzed a .pvz file which contains several Annotation Sets & Groups. After unzipping it, I found that each Annotation Set is stored in an .ast file each Group is stored in a .grp file a list of both is stored in the .etb file .ast (Annotation Sets) is somehow a mixture of encoded and ASCII format. It lists up the Part ID Paths of the components in the pvz/pvs-file. In the header you can find a string !/EMK V7.0 !/ surrounded by the contact and info data you set while creating the Annotation Set within Creo View. Maybe this is a hint of how the file is encoded? I could not find anythi
Creo View Express 7.1 will not open any of my .sec files.

Creating a step and duplicating it when making a sequence does not work in Creo Illustrate 7.1 . A new step is created with a correct looking timeline in the keyframe editor but it does not actually play the step. The current workaround is to create a new step and then copy the timeline from the keyframe of the original step, and paste it into the keyframe editor of the new step. This is also what must be done if you want to have step 1 to have certain actions and step 2 reverses all of them, you must use the above workaround and then click "reverse step" on the new step.
What is the way to view Creo Parametric simplified representations in Creo Illustrate?is it possible to do it?Can Creo parametric groups be viewed in Illustrate? Ty, Matteo.
The inertia tensor is not reported as part of the Measure Mass Properties window (see attached image).

Whenever I go to export my Illustration to a .SVG file it groups every line together instead of separate for our Adobe Illustrator Technician. Is there a fix for my issue or even a better way to export the file? Thank in advance!
We've noticed that our Custom View Orientations in Creo Illustrate have gone away. If we add new orientations, they do not reappear the next time we open something in CI. They were working prior to 4.0. Does anyone successfully use saved custom views in a version newer than 4.0? I've attached the Custom Views Orientation window. We're having to update this with every new file. Not fun.
We think to upgrade CREO version from 5.0.4.0 to 7.0.0.0. Please confirm CREO version 7.0 is compatible with our existing windchill 11.0
I know it was written in UNIX, but when it was decided to port it to Windows years ago, I feel this should have been addressed. I believe spaces in file names have been allowed since Win 98 (I think), therefore I feel Pro should update as well.
I am using Creo Schematics 4.0 M010HelloI need to use a membermap for a fixed group, containing one variable group and two blocks (with datatables). The help sample here: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_schem/usascii/index.html#page/Schematics_hc%2FExample__Sample_Membermap_for_a_Variable_Group.html%23...is not precise enough.I cannot manage to have a CSV set running.Do you have any good example of CSV files to share ?RegardsSimon Lagoutte
Hello, does anyone know how to change number of displayed decimal places of real type parameter on schematics? I would like (please look attached picture) to display only 2 decimal places of the parameter not 6 decimal places as it shows me now. Where can I change that? Thank you
When I import a PVZ into Illustrate, some model appearances appear as black. I have tried changing the model appearance and saving it as a new PVZ, but that doesn't seem to help.
Hi, in our company I'm using Creo Schematics 2.0 Lite M010. Everything works fine until we updated Windows 10. We have updated Windows 10 to version 1809 (this worked on 1703). From now on I have a problem when I start to input parameter's value for symbol or label because always there is inputed two characters on start. Example I start typing t but in inputed are two t's (tt). I've also noticed that sometimes are inputed unknown characters (on attached pictures) . Am I only one that have this problem? Can you suggest what could be wrong? Thanks, T.
I'll ask you a couple of questions about Creo Illustrate: - I have a customer who has a trial for 3 months with Creo Illustrate 7.0.0.0 standard license. Is it because of the trial that it can only import step, pvz, Creo Parametric files but not native Solidworks files (even with a filter on all files I don't see them)?- do you know which version of Creo Illustrate is compatible with Isodraw 7.0? If from Illustrate I export a file in .iso format and open it in Isodraw, it gives me the message that it was created with a more recent software. Matteo.
I am using Creo Schematics 7.0 7.0.0.0test
Hello, I am currently trying to figure out how to "hide" annotations in Creo View that have a Security Marking (applied in Creo Parateric). The filter tool in Creo View does not hide the annotations that have security markings. However, when I choose to "hide" annotations in Creo Parametric, the annotations with security markings DO go away. (Why does the "hide" option work in one software but not the other?) Main question: Any advice on hiding annotations with security markings in Creo View? I don't think this is possible for out-of-the-box, possibly customizations?
I would like to create some custom commands in Creo View, to open web pages and capture Annotation sets. I understand I can do this with admin_prefs or shared_prefs, but we have a complex IT arcitecture with users spread across 3 domains but all using one Windchill site, so to distribute via admin_prefs or shared_prefs means co-ordinating group policies across all domains and all IT departments. So is there a way I can distribute the gui_prefs file via Windchill?
Hello, I need to open a PVZ file in Creo Illustrate but I need to open a specific view of my model. So, in attachment a screen capture shows representations I want to open in Illustrate. Is it possible to do this ? I don't find the way.
How to publish .pvz, .cgm, .svg illustration files from Creo Illustrate 6.1 to Windchill?– It is showing error – “Publishing to a server location is not supported.” My requirement is to save these files in Windchill.
I am attempting to hide annotations (flat to screen notes) in Creo View 6.0 by using the Filter tool and unchecking the annotations sections, but they are still not going away. Please see attachment.
