Can you use family tables to help generate Illustrate files, so you don't have to recreate animation for each instance?
Before I spend much time looking for it (unsuccessfully, because it doesn't seem to be there): In Creo View Lite there is no way to change the lighting settings (e.g. spotlights), right? This must be done (at minimum) in Creo View MCAD, and saved from there as an annotation set, correct?
Hello, We are looking to use CreoView MCAD to create simple animations showing a product from 360 degrees. For this is i'm looking for a simple "turntable" effect but have not been able to create this within the animation module. Is this possible? Thanks, John
i am not getting sequence option to create step. Even Though i used > animation> sequence> steps it works when i preview the sequence, after i save and publish in .pvz file. then if i open the sequence is not played. kindly help for settings or how to proceed.
Hi, I am searching for a way to delegate the Windchill Version and the Windchill LifeCycle state to Creo Schematics. There seems to be no way, or am I wrong?
Hi all, In Creo 5.1 you have the option to select "create surface borders" in the Figure view options. When i select that option, the technical drawing looks perfect in Creo itself: But when exporting to svg it looks like this: It has too much lines. Can anyone help me with this? I want the output to be the same as the first image. ps: when testing this in Creo 3.1 it works like a charm 😉 tnx!
Can someone tell me how to get the trial version of Illustrate ? I have downloaded Illustrate but i get stuck on the startup screen. Is there a trial version with which I can access the tool ?
Hello, I have found that at a certain length of steps and complexity Creo Illustrate begins to introduce glitches into sequences. These relate to the position and visibility of parts. The attached video demonstrates this. 1) The pump cover is moved in place 2) A new step is created with the (+) symbol 3) The new step automatically retains a position for the pump cover from 2 steps prior. Instead it should retain the position from the previous step. I don't have issues like this in shorter assemblies. This is a challenge because it would be best for AR training if we could show all of the steps (start to end) of complete overhaul of our product. Thanks, Wes
We have started seeing an issue when we open a CreoView file from Windchill and then go to print it to Adobe PDF. In some cases, we do not get the full drawing into the PDF file. Views are missing or the format is missing, in one case, sheet 1 only showed the 2 shaded views but sheet 2 was fine. When we do a print from within Creo, these same drawings when printed to Adobe PDF on the same computer come through fine. Not sure where to start searching for the answers. Is it a CreoView issue or Adobe PDF? PDF prints from Creo being fine would lead me to thing CreoView. Creo 4 M080 CreoView 4.1 F000 Windchill 11.0 Mo30 CPS08
Need an improvement in NX PMI conversion for the Multi-byte character in the future release of Creo View and Creo View adapter for NX. Based on the comments in the chapter of Supporting NX with Model View States in 5.1 F000 Crreo View MCAD Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide NX PMI conversion has the following limitations: No Multi-byte character support. Only ASCII characters in PMI annotations are converted.
Hi, I've connected Creo Illustrate 6.0 to Windchill using direct connection (WGM is no longer supported). I can open files from Windchill and create new figures, but I cannot find a way to save the resulting illustrations back to Windchill. When I try to publish to Windchill location I'm getting "Publishing to a server location is not supported" error message. What is the best way to save the illustrations (cgm, pvz and png) back to Windchill? Ideally I would like to maintain the tractability to original part using describe link as well. Thank you, Marcin Gorecki
If the Parameter pane is open, using Refit Sheet to view the entire sheet defaults to zooming it to fit the window as if the Parameter pane is close hiding the bottom of the sheet. There is an icon in the upper right of the Parameter pane that looks like Clicking on it tells Schematics that it should refit the sheet in the remaining part of the window. If you want to return to the "hide the bottom section" setting, the icon changes to that you can use to change the setting back to default.
Hi all, is it possible to change the thickness of callout circles in Creo Illustrate? I found nothing in the community or Knowledge base of PTC.
I have a placed jt file in a idr file. I want to create an enlarged view of a detail. Can I place an elipse over the placed file and trim it so the lines in the ellipse are still displayed?Bryon
Greetings, In Pro-diagram - We used to select the one or more highways at a time using the drop down menu at the bottom of the sheet. How to select multiple highways at a time or at single click in Creo schematics 3.0? Thanks, Ramesh
Normally in creo view once you set your default printer, then creo view remembers each time your print so you don't have to keep selecting. A user is selecting his default printer, but when trying to print in creoview it is showing another printer as default. I assumed he was clearing cache on exiting IE but that was not the case. Has anybody else experienced this issue?
Hello All, I noticed a glitch (or easily made mistake) with visibility of an assembly. Imagine you have a tool composed of parts A, B & C. The actions below are all completed within a single step of a sequence: Fade In tool (make visible) Unscrew portion C from the tool Fade out C Perform animation with the tool Fade out entire tool (assembly) The issue with this, is that C gets faded out twice, since it is contained within the assembly -- and this confuses Creo Illustrate - so a glitch occurs. This is expressed by C appearing visible from the very beginning of the step. Sometimes I've seen this glitch expressed later in Vuforia Studio (after exporting the PVZ file) rather than Creo Illustrate. This may not be a common issue: My assembly is a vacuum pump with hundreds of components and many layers of sub-assemblies. There are also multiple special tools used in overhaul, and some of these tools have attachments that must be removed or added. The workar
Hello, Maybe I'm missing something obvious-- but each time I create a new figure, the sequence within my already created figure is erased. Is there a step where I need to save this? The program is behaving oddly: 1) Create Figure 1 with a sequence of 10 steps 2) Create Figure 2, and suddenly all the steps disappear from Figure 1 3) Save a copy of Figure 1, all of the steps reappear - with all 3 Figures now having the same steps 4) Delete or add a step from one figure, and the change is reflected in the other two figures 5) Create another new figure. All the steps disappear again from the other figures (why?) Thanks for your help, Wes
Create a section. Open the 2D view, and create some measurements, add some notes etc... in this 2D view. Save the section as an annotation : the box "include section" is checked. When I open later on this annotation, the section is here, the cut plane and its position are kept, the 2D view is here but all markeusp (measurements, notes etc.. ) made in 2D view are lots. If i took some measurements int his 2D, With the cut plane at this position it is because this measurement is important to see or may be critical froma design point of view. Annotation is an ecellent way of sharing between collegues but in this case lots of relevant data are lost. This fucntionality is very importabnt for our daily activity :designer, fgeometrical architects, after markets etc.. are requiring markups to be kepts in d view.
Does not matter if the graphic has anything to do with the layer. May be a problem with other layers being protected. You can extend fibers across sheets, just not with a graphic. The error that is given is the generic ">>>> error <<<< Internal Error (001) occurred..."
The slider in the Custom Lights setting have no values. It would be easier to reuse settings between figures and files if there were values associated with these sliders that could be copied.
I have a simple test. i have one model, one modeltarget, and i am displaying one word of 3d label text.I cannot publish... I am looking to borrow creo illustrate license to my personal laptop but could not find any borrow application under the bin folder of creo illustrate load path. Kindly suggest the method to borrow the license of Creo Illustrate.
How do I open and add a .3cdi assembly and add it to an already open .3cdi model? wnlewis
Hello, I'm able to Import notes into Creo Illustrate that were created in Creo. The problem is that the notes import without their leaders. (See Below) Anyone have an idea why? Thanks, ----Bill
