I am encountering an error when trying to install Creo Illustrate 3.0. Please see attached screenshot for the error window. I have also attached the error log. Please reply with questions or possible solutions.
Dear Creo Users,Kindly be informed that recently I have been using Creo 2.0 . There is a good option in Creo called Palette in Sketch mode. There are certain shapes like polygon, i-section etc. which are very helpful to draw different and difficult mechanical parts in Creo. Are there any new developments or updates like any new shapes in Creo sketch Palette in newer versions like creo 3.0 and creo 4.0?With regards,Soumya Bhattacharya
I have an issue with Creo Illustrate 3.0 that is annoying more so than fatal! After producing any animation which contains annotations, never more than 20 or so annotations per file, I can export the file and save it as a .wmv as usual. No problem. My issue is that when I go back to the original file, I find that a lot, but not all of the annotations and Markup 1's appear grayed out in the Key Editor. This means that I have to redo those particular grayed out entries if I need to edit the original file. It is very time consuming to have to re-invent the wheel every time I need to edit a file to produce another animation.I have had some helpful feedback from PTC regarding this issue but hasn't fixed the problem. I was told to rename the User Preference file in the Application Data, which I did, but the issue remains. This is an example of what I am seeing... Perhaps someone has come across this issue and has a fix? Any help or assistance would be appreciated!Thanks...
HelloI do a test simply with a washer, see the sketch enclosed.I do the simulation with the whole puck and then with half of the puck as well as half of the load. And I get not the same result to Von Mises:Entire puck 750.0 [MPa]Puck half 642.0 [MPa]When you cut a piece in half to do more than the symmetrical connection.Kind regards.Denis
We would like the ability to use Pro/TOOLKIT to get the geometry of a wire harness made up of cables and tapes. Currently, you can get the cable geometry but not the tape geometry. For example, the picture below shows a wire harness with several cables and tapes. We can get the tessellated geometry that represents each cable via the Pro/TOOLKIT function ProCableTessellationGet But cannot get the tessellated geometry of the 6 tapes. The Pro/TOOLKIT function ProHarnessTessellationGet provides geometry for the entire wire harness, i.e. all the cables and the tapes as one, united tessellated mesh. However, that does not get the finer granularity, i.e. a tessellated mesh for each cable and each tape.
Every time I launch Creo View 3.1 from Windchill 10.2 into an Internet Explorer 11 tab, I get the scrollbars to show up on the right and bottom panes. To remove them, my workaround is to maximize the page and then minimize again. Does anybody know the settings in Internet Explorer or Creo View to prevent this from happening? The bottom scroll bar hides the information that I want to see or select!
How is the rendering capability of Creo Illustrate 3.0?I have seen PTC demos for Crep Illustrate but it hardly talks about rendering capability of the software. Can we have high resolution graphic images output from the software for use in marketing / sales.
In this tutorial i show you how to pattern a hole along a curve. If you would like to download the model to follow along please go here. (view in My Videos)
Hi, When saving figures as illustration (SVG or CGM) from Creo Illustrate (3.1 and 4.0), I expect that the final SVG export is an identical representation of what is shown in the graphics area of Creo Illustrate. In my case however, certain paths (not all) of underlying parts become visible in the final SVG export while these are not visible in the Creo Illustrate graphics area. I tried playing around with the different export options (Thick/Thin lines_Surface borders_Enhanced intersections, Segments_Polylines_Beziér paths, ...) but no difference. There are also no phantom parts in my model. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thanks in advance.
Hello,Is anyone having issues with model components randomly relocating themselves during animation playback? This issue is driving me nuts! I start with a mechanical assembly explode, to display all assembly components. Then, I fade out all parts except for the initial part. Process step by process step, I fade in components and rotate, annotate, inset the view on key features, flash, bring in arrows, bring in tools, etc. to create the assembly sequence. After a couple hours of work, during animation playback, random components will relocate and reorient from its original placement in the animation to some other odd location and orientation in the display view. This ruins the 2 hours of work to create the animation, because you try to place the component where it's supposed to be, but when you play the animation the component will relocate again to an even more odd location and orientation. Are there any other Creo Illustrate users that have h
Hello all As far I know, since beginning of Pro/E, a CAD volume has been always a “divided” surface. An extruded (or other construction) part will always have two faces that can be selected. Usually – but not always – most of the time the CAD interprets it as a unique surface. Thus this is not a major problem. However I have some times meshing problems exactly in the interface of these surfaces - especially if it is located in a bad position in an assembly forming for example a sharp corner. My current issue is that my mapped mesh is getting too complex due to this characteristic. I´m trying to create a mapped mesh in a contact region. However this native split is being considered inside Simulate and the consequence is that I have to mesh a more regions and even worst – to create more contact regions. I consider a good contact mesh a mesh that has common elements in both sides of the contact. This is usually possible only if the mapped mesh patt
Just wondering whether IsoDraw CAD Process has any options or methods to show Section Views/ Ortho projection views of 3D Models?I use CREO 2.0 currently to get section views. Thanks, Aravind
I'm a beginner. I trying to learn Creo so I can teach it to 5-11 Grade students in Russia. I'm trying to make a 3D model to illustrate xyz plane concept as top, front, right concept. As you can see, the front plane is not flush with right plane. Once I've gotten an all gray OK'ed model I can't seem to get it back into a modify mode so I can correct this mistake.
As suggested on Case 13364909; Our company is just migrating for Office 2016 and new machines are not able to work with Integrity. Regards.
An imported .pvz file couldn't be colored in Creo Illustrate as one entity when selected. Only selected geometry can be dyed. This behavior is only by surface geometries. Workaround to solve this Problem is Export Geometry as a STEP file and import it and the coloring is possible as one entity when selected. The workaround is not acceptable because to much steps for ex- and Import. Next the whole geometry must be checked for completeness. The whole thing takes a lot of time and who has it already?
Hi,A very quick question: How can you move the Transform Dragger so that it appears in a zoomed view of a large assembly? Quite often, I need to transform the location of a large object, but need to look at a detailed zoomed view while moving the object, but the Dragger could be located at some distance from the required view. I know I have seen the answer to this before but can't find it!Thanks in anticipation,Brian
Hi, I created a sequence in Creo Illustrate and want to import it as .pvi file in Vuforia Studio, but I do not know how to do it. Someone knows how to create the file .pvi ? Thank you very much for your help.
I could not activate dimensions in the option menue of creo 3 Student version for sketching parts. There is no Option there to activate.Someone knows this Problem installing creo 3 Student Version?
Does anyone have a copy of the WEEE & CE symbols as a Creo sketch?
I can have a figure with a caption and a border, but I have not figured out how to have a figure caption with no border or white border. It seems the border color and figure caption text color are linked. Does anyone know of a work-around?
I'd like to use TOOLS/Find to search for dimension tolerances like table name H 7 for example. (properties of hole diameter / tolerance / tolerance table: hole / Tablename: x y) In my mind it would be nice to find dimensions and surfaces that this table name is added like searching for symbols or pre-/postfix. This option would give a workarround for coloring sufaces of holes with tolerance H7 (hole basis fit). Searching for threads is possible so coloring surfaces of holes with threads is possible at the moment. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am using Illustrate 3.1 and Windchill Prime 9.1. How do I link to parts in my workspace in Windchill? There is no information in the help files.
Hi,Can anyone suggest the best way to edit an animation I have created? I have had to removed some now unwanted parts that I had animated (i.e. bolts with an unscrewing effect) but I now need to edit the duration of that section as the animation looks like its doing nothing for this duration? Can I just cut out a section of the track length or the top level Animation track and if so, how??Thanks for any help,Brian
Dear All, I am not able to find Assemble option and Animate key frame editor in Creo Illustrate 3.1. I can see Animation tab, but the control tools within tab are not highlighted. The tools tab does not include assemble option Please find the attached file for your reference Thanks in advance Sanket
