Buil in an automatic save before sketcher or imbeded sketcher is opened.   This is to prevent CREO bombing out when sketcher looses control and a lot of work is lost.

Hi All,Whenever we do a model or drawing check-in, which type of check-in should be used ideally so that we can see updated images in Creo View 2.0 ?There are 2 options available Auto check-in and Custom check-in.What is the difference between both of them?Thanks.Shridhar

Hello all,   I need someone, anyone, to point out where to change drawing units from inches to millimeters. It looks like the default should be in 'mm' but every integer has been converted into imperical inches. For example, anywhere a 4mm entry had been by default, the integer will be already been converted into inches (with values such as 0.157480). See the attached image for reference.   I must have checked every menu within the software and looked at every tutorial video related to Creo Schematics with the possibility someone may show where to change the default unit to display metric values. It might be a file parameter that needs to be changed outside of software, but before I go diving into the hundreds of files associated with the design, do any of you have an easy or direct way to change the drawing units?   Thanks in advance   P.S.: I'm referring directly to Creo Schematics (RSD 10.0) and not Creo 2.0 (Pro/E)

Cannot PRINT in Monochrome format from CREO VIEW Lite 2.0 (M040 build 15) . It happens with all the printers. It ignores the setting and always prints in Grayscale. Thanks and kind regards,Diego García

For me it is possible to unify these two functions. Practically if I have only one section for every group (1+1) it works like sweep (even for non 2D sections). The same for 2+1 sections. I am new to Creo Illustrate and I have a question regarding rearrangement/insertion of of figues in Creo Illustrate 3. When I insert a new blank figure it's always added at the end after all the existing figures. If I want to add this in between let's say figure 1 and 2, how do I do that? I don't seem to be able to just drag and drop it there. And the same if I for some reason want to rearrange the sequence of the figures, how can I do that? Another example : If I delete Figure 2 and later want to add a new "Figure 2" then how can that be done without it ending at the end after all the existing figures?

I’m trying to create technical illustration using IsoDraw 7.1. The delivery profile is specific. The export format to be used for ASD is CGM according to ASD 1000D profile defined in S1000D issue2.3. This profile is based upon WebCGM 2.Is it possible to setup the preferences so that all of the CGM exports and compliant with this profile?

Two Illustrate questions:- Is it possible to include the item list in Illustrate in the exported illustrations (for example in .jpg or .iso, cgm files)?- Is it also possible to include the item list in a pvz file when publishing the illustration to a pvz file?Regards, Raymund Oudejans

I think beside "Lock" and "Strong" we should have "Fixed" for maintaining those dimension even scaling model.   If user set the dimension to be fixed nothing can change the value - at the moment I obtain similar result using relations, but it works only after regeneration, but fixed dimension will remain the same always until user manually not change it.

Dear Gurus,Currently we upload AutoCAD Files with Images attached to it to Windchill. The Images get uploaded as "attachment" in Windchill.However we are not able to view the images in CreoView as it is not able to resolve to the path in Windchill.Is there any way I can enable viewing JPEG attachments of AutoCAD in CreoView uploaded to Windchill?[cid:image001.jpg@01CFAD91.F70ED000]With Regards,Sriram Subramanian (Sri)

I have not figured out a way to get a cross-section of a part's geometry onto a sketch so that I can then use it to create subsequent features. Hopefully the attached screenshots help to illustrate what I want to do.   My goal is to get the blue sketch line shown around the truncated cone in the first image driven from the model geometry. I have artificially created it for these images. The plane shown is a datum plane offset from the plane that is used to set the top of the cone.     This is the VIEW cross-section shown on the plane. This is the the circle that I want to sketch and have driven by the conical feature. If the diameter of the cone changes, or the position of the cone moves, I want the driven sketch to update accordingly.  

Hello,I try to create a service BOM with all the kits available for the device. But I have some spare kits which include the same parts in them. Example:Kit 1:part Apart Bpart CKit 2:Part BPart DPart ESo my question is how to "share" the part between several kits (new parts I have created in the service bom)?Or if there is no way to do so have any idea to work around?Thank you regards

I just to update Creo Illustrate 3.0 M020. When I switch a 3D part to phantom representation, mybackground screen switch to black and after it is impossible to handle the 3D model Is it a bug or not? With Creo Illustrate 3.0 M010 this problem is not.I opened a case C12051648. Would be nice to add the value and the type of chamfer (symetric, LxL, Lxangle, etc...) in a window, or pop up, before selecting the sketch items.   Cheers, Luís

When an AutoCAD Drawing is viewed in Creo View 3.0, Greek Alphabet Fonts like µ,Ωare not getting displayed and intead a "?" is shown. I already mapped the AutoCAD Fonts Directory to Creo View from the Option Interface. Howver I still face the issue? Any suggestions to solve the issue ?

Pro/USER's,   I think we may have stumped PTC on this one, so I'm turning to you guys. We have assy's that use hundreds of occurrences of a flexible model. In the end, we like to determine the total length of the models req'd for the assembly. So far, we've managed to show each length for each occurence by writing a short relation. Trouble is, that relation is dependent upon the session ID of each component, so it becomes a manual and unrealistic endeavor. I hope the attached graphic of a simplified example is enough to describe what we're trying to do, and illustrate the problem.   Thanks for any pointers. This HAS to be possible!   G.

Has anyone got any examples of working practices with the use of XML files to speed setup.I'm dipping my toes in but am wondering if there is a way of specifying what items should be shown and which ones hidden in the figure. I have tried the itemlists but this doesn't quite seem as easy as i'm imagining the base setup ought to be.I also have outstanding questions regarding recipe files reference info with PTC tech support that don't seem to have an obvious answer yet.

Hi all,I have a question about publishing recipes.When i publish a figure to a new creo view file there is to much information in the file (creo parameters).Where do i find the publishing recipe that controls which information should be shown.Anotyher thing i dont understand is when i open the published pvz file in creo view lite, the item list that is created in illustrate wont be shown.Thanks

Is Creo View constantly popping up the 3D Connexion Properties window for you?   I put in a ticket for this and PTC tech support is investigating.   Here is the discussion on the 3D Connexion forum: http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4710   I'll post updates as information is available.

Hello,I'm having an issue with circles importing into Illustrate 3.0 as hexagons. For one particular assembly it worked fine on my laptop (HP workstation laptop), but imported as hexagons on my desktop. Today I opened another assembly and it imports incorrectly on both devices. They all open just fine in Parametric 2.0.In this image the top middle screw should have circular washers and the spring, a little to the right should be a circular helix. Here, the hexagons, and squares at the end of the blue shape should all be circles.Any help is appreciated. Illustrate is a great program so I'd really like to figure out what is causing this.
