I have a 2d graphic that i traced in IsoDraw, created polylines and filled grouped together. Is there a way to change the perspective of the 2d graphic to say show it installed on a door that is using the "basic" isometric view in IsoDraw?

PTC are running an SLM pilot at a customer that involves creating illustrations in Creo Illustrate from local data (pvz, edz and jt files).All local data is already optimized for creo illustrate (i.e. no brep data in the ol files). The assemblies are very large (650mb illustrate file) and downstream processes suffer from these large file sizes. Not all SBOM components are shown in the figures that are created on a particular dataset. I know that we can clean the EBOM and delete any parts that are not in the SBOM to reduce the C3di file size but is there a way to delete any nodes in the SBOM that are not shown in any of the figures (apart from doing this manually).If there was a way of doing this we could then use the Clean EBOM command to reduce the file size. I have already suggested that the other way to do this is to disregard the SBOM that is created by default and manually re-build the SBOM bottom up with what is needed but that may not be practical either. Hi,I have come across a difficulty regarding creo illustrate 2.0. While creating sequences (for animation), I change the color of phantom parts(eg.to grey and brown being the orginal color) and while steps progress, i find retaining of color for the part which i have made a change. i tried changing color in every steps which i created, still the same problem persists. i got an advise to save te color after changing, and restore to saved in edit properties of the part, may work. I couldn't save the changed color too.What may be the solution to prevent parts from the tendency to retain the color once steps progresses?Is it possible to save the color of an assembly\part, if i change its color while animating?

I'd like to do what the help says and specify my tooltip to be the following but i can't make it bring DESCRIPTION up. Any idea what is wrong with this syntax? <PROE Parameters.DESCRIPTION.Value>

Hello,I would need advice regarding a requirement that I have for CAD drawings using Pro/E WF4 and Productview 9.1.It is regarding what we call "Multi-Language drawings". For our manufacturing plants, we need to create manufacturing drawings on which we can switch between different languages for the annotations within these drawings themselves (in ONE drw only); and most importantly, that we can switch between the different languages in ProductView to get the drawing as needed for anyone out on the floor.On the Pro/E environment, we have been doing this using different "layers" which contain the different languages. However, this doesn't work in ProductView 9.1, which doesn't support the switching between layers that have been created in Pro/E. Also, if we used sheets with the same file name, that could create problems when updating one of the sheets, so that one sheet is updated, but the other which is written in the other language is not updated.On another note and less importantly,

I have Creo View 3.0 installed. When I open a .prt file and I was trying to save a view as a image file. But the image file I got was nothing but totally black. I re-install Creo View, still have the same issue. And even if I print the view I print results I got is also black. Is there anyone know what's going on here? Thanks in advance.

How to integrate Creo Elements /Pro 5.0 with Creo Illustrate 3.0.   Can we get the trial version of Creo Illustrate 3.0?

Hatch color for sketches, cosmetic sketches, and cross sections is controlled globally by the Letter system color (Graphics tab in the System Colors dialog box)  The hatch color for sketches and cosmetic sketches cannot be controlled individually  They always follow the Letter system color Cross section hatching line style can be modified independently of the Letter system color   I would like to be able to control the hatch color independently of the Letter system color for Sketches, Sketches and Cross Sections, just like the capability provided today for Cross Sections.   For me, this makes creating complex labels with different colors directly in ProE as a single part, which greatly simplifies my lable creation process.   Please reference the linked PTC article https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS98464

Created an assembly in Creo 2.0 and saved to my desktop. Cleared memory and reopend assembly in Creo, did Save a Copy as .PVZ, go to IsoDraw and open the .PVZ file and some components are missing? Go back to Creo and reopen all components are visable.Also seems like IsoDraw is taking forever to project in 2D, compared to other releases.Any advice? I hope it is not contact PTC!

Hi, What are your experiences with regards to creating 3D (and 2D) assembly instructions? We are looking for a way to create CAD driven assembly instructions in clearly defined steps. Here internally I have a Lattice3D fan who is really pushing forward with it. My gut feeling tells me we should go for Creo Illustrate considering we will be on Windchill PDMLink one day. But the demo he has seen so far did not impress him. Does anybody have a list of the pros and cons of Creo illustrate versus Lattice3D? Lattice3D adverts with their highly compressed XVL format. How does that compare to the compressed ProductView format? Thanks in advance. Has any used PTC Creo Sketch? I'm wondering what people think of it. I've seen a little online about its capabilities, but I'm wondering how practical it is.Any thoughts would be welcome.

Hello all,I am working in IsoDraw version 7.2, and I need to show a simplified outline (the customer calls it a “phantom”) of the assembly to help with locating the components of the assembly that are called out. Also, the simplified assembly needs a different color fill than the components(s) being called out. I have imported IGES output from SolidWorks. There is great amount of detail that needs to be cleared out (numerous holes, vents, etc.) to simplify the assembly.I have experimented with settings for converting to 2D to try to reduce some of this detail. Hiding, deleting, or using no pen for components to clear out the detail seems a little tedious. I have a lot of experience doing this in 2D drawing programs such as Illustrator and CorelDraw--I would probably just trace the contours, apply the fills to the shapes, then layer shapes with lines accordingly. But IsoDraw is a different animal, and while it may be able to do this, I think the process will be quite different.Does IsoD

Hi, can you enable area measurements when in drawing mode. these area measurements are already available in 3D. you just need a little tweaking of the program. right now the function is grey-out. as in picture below. I would like a ? button like there are in certain windows applications that you can click which will open a help link that pertains to the button you want to try to use. An example would this. I see the 3d box select icon. I want to see if there are any options related to the box selection becuase I want to see if it will choose subassemblies instead of only piece parts.  So I go the the help section and type in "3d box select" and I can't find any information on it whatsoever. Repeat this with any tool in the system. If you could click a "what's this?" button and then click what you wanted to learn about, and have it link to a help document that explained 1. an overview of what it should do 2. a step through of the steps that you need to do to use it. 3. a pictoral example that shows EVERY step, 4. any options that relate to this function (whether that be config.pro or otherwise). It would also be nice to link to any tutorials that might be available on the subject.   I thin

I would like to sketch a Dashed line, and after that...Thicken the sketch and extrude.     This is only possible by using the crappy Thicken featuren in Sketch mode.OR 1 linepiece at a time and Thicken the extrude.   Multiple Lines in extrude modus are not accepted.  

I want to be able to see what the dimension that I am going to place is, before I click and commit to it. One example would be the angle between two lines. You can get the acute, or obtuse angle depending on where you place the dimension. Unfortunately you may not know for sure whiuch dimension that it's going to be until after you place it. Then if it's wrong, you have to delete it and start over. Depending on the size of the area that you need to click on to get the desired dimension (like with a very narrow angle), this can turn into a "find the correct pixel to click" exercise that can get quite frustrating. It would also make many of the menu's where you have to click "horizontal" "vertical" or "slanted" obolete because you could just move until it creates the correct dimension.

Hi!   I'm new using Creo Schematics and I'm having a few problems in my self-training (We've never used this software before at our company).   Now I'm able to create ports, fibers, blocks, variable groups and fixed groups.   My problem now it's that I don't know how to reference a coil with a NO/NC contact and with a group of contacts. I also would like to now how to put a contact and a coil in different sheets and have them well indexed.   I found an example but I couldn't figure out how it was created:     Thank you very much.   Best regards.   David

Hello, We intend to create 3d E-learning modules for our internal employees. The modules would have information about products, usage with interactivity. [Like Assembly & Disassembly of components, Component identifications, simulate diagnosis of problem and solution in virtual environment,event driven, designing a user friendly user interface etc]     For reference, we would like to compare Creo tools with 3DVia Studio/Composer, Quest3D & Vizard. Hi all.I have an assembly in Creo parametric containing a pin-connection between two parts. The one part is able to rotate around the other, with the pin-connection as pivot point.Is it somehow possible to maintain this connection when importing the assembly to Creo Illustrate, and use it when repositioning parts here?
