All,I am trying to look at same drawing, different revisions, via overlays. I know that in previous versions (Prior to the CREO moniker) you could view .dxf overlays and compare changes via color changes. Is this possible in Creoview express or am I using the wrong tool? Thanks,Kenny
Ok, this is another one that's totally obvious to me, but did not seem obvious to the creo developers. Why not put a simple ability to click on a part or any entity, and either with a hot key, or with a righ-click menu just template it on the spot, making it gray and un-pickable? I.e. a simple semi-hidden mode, like Alias studio had for decades, where you're still able to see a curve or a part you might use later, but don't want it to be available for picking and want it out of the way. Talk about reducing motions and clicks and constant "hide" and "unhide" operations. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is there a way to get text to show up on a 2-d plane? The help guide tells you how to put it on a cylinder, donut, sphere. But not on a flat surface.ThanksBryon
Our users are working with full system data and the time between backups keeps interrupting them and they would like to turn it down. I can see an option in Creo 3 but i can't see an equivalent options box in Creo 2. Is there a backdoor way i can make them happier with?
We would like to build in a decision for standards (size of item ref text) thickness of item ref note, whether it makes a halo. I can't find anywhere i could influence this. Is there a way?
When we have figures in Creo 2 Illustrate that are really zoomed in (no background visible) we find it almost impossible to not leave something highlighted in the figure window. Then when we export that highlighting appears in the output. Is there any easy button we're not understanding for remove all highlighting from the graphics window?
Sometimes we have a long structure (longer than the screen), is there any way in Creo Illustrate to Select Parent so we can collect up the overall parent assy to move it out?
I am a Creo user, mostly Schematics and my HR Department has asked me if CREO is a acronym, does it stand for something? Sincerely, John
We have a customer who wants to be able to move his license between 2 computers in 2 seperate locations, his home office and a clients office regularly. The Flexnet license server used by PTC will allow this functionality, however this is not currently supported by PTC.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Why do hidden parts show up in creo view? When I open the .edz file, all the hidden parts reappear, it's quite frustrating. Is there anyway to make these parts stay hidden?
Hi All,I am able to addPro2dLinedef in first quadrant of section using element tree.
There is nothing else to download. The 32-bit and 64-bit are on the one DVD. Like you said it auto detects and loads.Do you have a 32-bit machine around to try an install on and see if it works there?
Creo Illustrate viewsWhen we opening an EDZ (exported from Creo) file in Creo View we see the views that engineering has created in the orientation menu. When opening the same EDZ file in Creo Illustrate those view are not present in the in the orientation menu.Is this a bug? Feature? Or am I missing something?
Good day all,I think there is a bug in IsoDraw that causes the background color to switch back and forth between black and white. I have a new Windows 7 laptop, and now I get a black background when I open CGMs.The backgrond always changes to white at about 20% zoom level. It also changes to white when I zoom in more than 100%, but at totally random zoom levels that change when I pan to different parts of the graphic.I can't find a setting in preferences that makes a difference. I have searched all over for posts on this problem, but I have not seen a solution yet. I can't see black text in my callouts without zooming in and out all the time. It's annoying!Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?-Renee
I have a 2GB Product View file (Creo View 2.0 M030 Build 14). I have deleted 95% of the components and resaved the file, unfortunately the file size is unchanged. Is there anything else I should do, to reduce the size of the file?
When creating an annotation in Creo View, using the Markup Tab, I wonder ifthere is a setting to change how the selection and de-selection works. Currentfunctionality is that if I am adding multiple freehand lines to a drawing, Iselect freehand and draw my line. I then need to go back up to the freehandicon and click it again to create another line. Is there a way to set thesystem so I can create multiple lines, without having to go back to the ribbonall the time? Note: this is the same for Notes, Leader lines, and Shapes.
Does anyone else have Automation Studio and Isodraw? I would like to use the dxf files from this program and place them into isodraw, but all I get is errors. It works to import from SE or other cad programs. I believe it has to do something with how the file is being formated.ThanksBRyon
We think it would be usefull to have som possibility to order callouts based on part information. For example if the parts item_tags are alphabetical names you may want the callouts to follow the same order. So if one parts item_tag starts with A and the next one starts with the letter B the callout for A should be 1 and the callout for B should be 2. The renumber and order functionallity of callouts in illustrate are very limited at the moment.

I am trying calculate the flow area in a butterfly valve and am having some issues trying to quickly grab area measurements. Currently, I open the valve x amount of degrees, then sketch the profile of the angled butterfly plate, fill it, then measure the area of that filled sketch. It works pretty well but it is VERY time consuming. I have also tried to use the shadow analysis tool but it isn't quite accurate enough for what I need. Is there a better way???Sincerely,Brandon
How to you change from mm to inch in Creo View 2.0
HI guys, I'm finding it very hard to find cad models for deutsch DT-series connectors. There are a few sites where people have modelled a few, but very rarely do I find ones I need, and keep in mind the connectors I'm using a very common. Does anyone know of a good CAD library that has this sort of stuff? I don't mind paying for a subscription. Cheers,
The goal of this request is to obtain regeneration time in trail.txt to build a program (on our side) to collect all regeneration time on all Large user computer. So we need the regeneration time to be recorded in a file. Currently we do not have any method to record the regeneration time automatically in trail.txt (or in any other text file). There is one manyal method: config.pro named "clock" but it doesn't serve the purpose of recording in text file. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
