Is there any way to identify whether the object is checked in from Windchill or CADApplication?

Hi,Trying to show model annotations (note with leader lines) in Creo View. I can see the text but, the leader line is missing. How do I get everything to show?

Windchill 12.0.2 I need help determining who wrote a workflow task comment immediately after the task is completed. I am able to get the comment they entered with the following code. But, I have been unable to find a way to get the name of the user that entered it.  wt.workflow.work.WfAssignedActivity activity = (wt.workflow.work.WfAssignedActivity) self.getObject(); wt.workflow.engine.ProcessData actData = activity.getContext(); task_comment = actData.getTaskComments(); Seams like it would pretty straight forward but, ProcessData.GetName() returns a list[] of attributes and none of the other methods under ProcessData appear to give me what I'm after.

I want to filter by the ID of AlternatePart in this API call: /windchill/servlet/odata/ProdMgmt/Parts('OR:wt.part.WTPart:28728284')?$expand=Alternates($expand=AlternatePart), but I have not been successful using commands like ?filter. Can you help me on how to filter based on the ID of AlternatePart in this context?

its more related to change task. When in the change task if we reassign the role of the specific task ( System engineer role)  to other person, it will get recorded in the task history tableWell while making task reassignment in the change task we wanted that to record in the Discussions table(customize>collaboration>Discussions) as of now it is getting recorded in the History tab of the Change Task and look at Task History table, We wanted to transfer the Task History table under Discussions Forum tab.

I am sure I can run a quick test but let's say I have a Problem Report that is linked to multiple Change Requests. Does the Problem Report get resolved at the first Change Request that is resolved or the last?

Hi Guys,@HelesicPetr I am looking for the mail intergration, i installed hmail Server (intergrated with Windchill) and configured with Thunderbird. Hello, I am pretty new to Kepware and was hoping for some guidance.  Using advanced tags or Thingworx, is there a way to convert decimal data coming from a Siemens PLC to ASCII and feed it into Thingworx?  The result I need to get should read like +99.9I was able to find a chart that shows decimal to ASCII, but I am not sure how I can make that conversion using Kepware/Thingworx.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.4We need to extract part structure and associated EPMDocument and content from structure though external system.We saw that we can retrieve information from structure through WebService but we cannot extract primary content of EPMDocument (we are using Creo CAD Data). Is there a way to do it without customization of Windchill ?

Greetings AllBack in 1999 I was working on a project back then we called CRiBs (Chemicals, Raw Materials including Biologics) that provided a "flag" in the structure that would allow use to know if a configuration could be sold to a US state that had restrictions on an item in the structure. This flag would then stop the shipment or sale to that State. We would ask our supplies to provide this information and to sub-suppliers.  I would image today, that may be an attribute on the wtPart.Wondering if anyone else has traveled this path and has some advice / experience they would care to share?

Hi reporting gurus,  I made a report and added some charts to it that are useful. Saved this (so it shows up in my Saved Reports table). I then shared this report with the general population (so that it shows up in the Reports table of the home page). This, however, doesn't run the saved report with charts. Instead, the users have to go to the upper left and select the "Shared with me" option to pick my saved report.  Is there a way to have the saved report with charts be the one that displays by default when users click "view report"? 

We're running Solidworks 2021 and Windchill release 11.1 M020-CPS24For a while, I've been chasing a ghost but yesterday I actually saw it. We have two users collaborating in the the same product.User 1 will check out a part or assembly, make changes, and check it back in.  User 2 will synchronize/refresh/update their workspace but not see those changes.  Parts still say they are checked out by user 1.  No display changes with refresh, nothing marked out of date with synchronize, and update presents nothing to update. My first thoughts were latency or workspace corruption, Both users have deleted and recreated their workspaces in this instance.  And as for the latency, we waited 11 hours (overnight) to see if the changes would propagate. Here's where it gets really strange.  The workspace is active, and shows that the parts are the old version and still checked out by user 1, but if you click on the details for the part or the assem

The data within this container is supposed to be stored (cached and mastered) only in UK.We are exploring setting up a local vault in UK or a replica file server in UK, but there are some challenges related to this.We need advise on what is the best PTC recommended approach for this requirement.

A client has Active Directory integration. There are licensing groups in AD and these groups are utilized to manage the license assignment. In AD the users are updated; and in Participant administration the changes are reflected; but the license quantity is not updated in license management. It eventually does update the quantity but seems to take quite some time. My questions are:1. Is there a way to force the license usage quantity to sync? (I've tried clearing participant cache to no avail)2. Is anyone aware of the frequency at which license quantity updates? Is it real time, does it update hourly, etc?

Hi, guys ^_^ I'd like to ask how to send materials and BOM to ERP. What is the difference between sending ERP manually and sending materials to ERP? And what does manual send CIS mean? When do we need to use this function? Can you give an example?

I expect Windchill to behave correctly and show all the information regardless of the zoom level of the browser or the windows zoom level(s) on product structure, without any additional actions (e.g. zoom in / zoom out).

Hello,I am trying to add someone to an organization. They are currently a member of a group, but cannot see the organization in the browse window. Also, I am a site admin and also org admin but the only way I was able to add myself as an org admin was to add myself to the organization administrator group. I don't show up when I try to add myself to the organization administrator page when you hit "administrators" button on the organization drop down in the browse menu.

Are you on UNIX/Linux server because the article mention that is limited to UNIX/Linux but at the same time in the note they also mention Windows... Our OS is windows so maybe this is the reason its not working. 

Hello all,I'm very familiar with having Windchill severs on AWS for many years now, but just getting into using RDS for Oracle. There are VERY few postings on this, and almost no specific info from PTC. Requesting any procedures that can be posted / provided please. I've been successful installing Windchill multiple times now using RDS (WC 12.1, Oracle 19c and 21c).  Can do most needed actions from a Windchill EC2 server with SQL Developer installed, including exporting a database (WC schema) and dropping the WC user.  But, have not yet figure out how to use S3 for storing and accessing the exported .DMP files, in order to import. thanks in advance for any posted procedure documents.
