But I think this should be a bug or the "spec" is wrong. I am also a Product Manager in this area so the combined rights should allow me to see this report. What do you think? Force the issue with PTC or replace their filter to make the logic take into account a user being in both roles.  Tell me I am wrong but I see no issue to make users Guest to allow all people to see content but then add them again as a member or other role to elevate their rights to allow create and update.   

I have an external MES tool. Aside from static images, I would like to leverage Creo View annotations (including animations) to show step by step procedures. I know I could take the thumbnail annotation images and make it a URL back to Windchill. I can see exporting and importing a PVZ file into the MES tool as an attachment.  What would be really neat would be to have Creo View display in the browser like the Structure visualization tab. This way, the user can remain in the MES page for their operations but have a large graphics windows rendering the annotation set via Creo View webgl. Has anyone done some or all of this?

Hi Need assistance we have one remote server with 10TB of size and we need to use that server as remote vault . So we followed few things creation of host then creation of master vault and then folders but while entering folder path getting error that mounting undermined.   Please suggest the solution that what will be the path of folder in vault configuration. Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: per ASME Y14.35, Section 6.1.5 the "APPROVED" column of the Revision History table is defined as: "Authorized signature(s), name, or approval indicator, as required, shall be entered to indicate approval of the change(s) made to the drawing." When working offline with paper copy, this was traditionally a signature by the engineer reviewing the drawing to signify it had been approved. While working within a PDM system however, the approval is done electronically through a Windchill Workflow, and so this field has a disconnect. Windchill locks the state of the drawing after the engineer approves it, but in order to add the signature of the engineer to the drawing it would have to be modified post approval - which is not allowed by users but if done automatically through a workflow would be acceptable. Hello Everyone,I am trying to add custom html and js scripts to my Windchill UI components. To be specific I have a custom action button in more parts action drop-down menu (image attached). I want to customize its html and add some JS scripts which are to be triggered on click. From my knowledge PTC's official customization guide does not cover such UI customizations, but I have seen others on this forum make some implementations. Any guidance regarding this will be appreciated. 

Say I have a WTDocument with 50+ file attachments. I do a keyword search for a phrase and this WTDocument returns. But which file attachment is the hit in the text preview? Is there a way to figure this out and guide users to the right file?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Is it possible to export Part Rename History over UI or WRS or Query Builder for automatic processing?Description: I need to export the rename history of several parts from Windchill. For export, I usually create a view and then save it as an Excel file. Is it possible to include the rename history in a view? Alternatively, is it possible to retrieve the rename history for a part via WRS? Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution using either method. I haven't been able to achieve this using the Query Builder either. I hope someone has a tip for me.

Hi team,Lastest WTPart and related WTPartMaster already available in windchill. we need to create new old revision of the same WTPart.ex.Existing Part Master - AB12CD and available WTpart revision in the partmaster is 3.2 need to create old Part revision - 0.1, 1.1, 2.1 i try to revise the lasted part and set the revision to the old revison getting below errorError: Cannot change revision of Part - AB12CD, NEWREVDATANAME, ORGNAME, 4.1 (Engineering) to target revision 2. Please share any API or Java code to create the old revision for the existing part. Thanks,Mathivanan

Version: Windchill 11.2 Use Case: Wondering if there is a way to tell Creo/Windchill that a component in an assembly is not to show in the BOM structure.Description: I am trying to get an accurate BOM to take directly to Syspro MRP. We don't use WT parts at this time so looking for a solution without WT parts if possible. We currently export a CSV of the multi-level structure report from Windchill and import this into Syspro. This method works great until we have components in the CAD assembly that we don't want to show in Syspro. Then we have to manually go through and clean things up. Would be great if a part could be set to not show in the BOM- whether that is from within Creo or within Windchill . We use Creo 8.0.10.0 and Windchill 11.2.1.0 Thanks!Matt

I am trying to setup a Sandbox runtime environment for DevOps . Our windchill has 1000s of Product and Libraray , Context , Folder, Template , Team , Policies  . As Dev/Test environment cloning is a costly affair in terms on infrastructure and Cloud maintenance , we want to setup a vanilla 12.0 server and load data through LoadFromFile . Is thee any mechanism we have to  get all the administrative data in XML ?  My runtime env version is same as Dev/Test I can use a java code and QuerySpec , however looking for a loader that can be  optimized and have all necessary dependency 

I'm using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 CPS M020-CPS14, and I'm trying to install WGM. However, it fails to install WFS. When I try to run the WFS MSI installation, I get a "Could not open key" error. Do you know how I can fix this error?
