This is a great technique for seeing your designs in context before you make them and brilliant for getting consumer feedback on several alternatives.

While reading one of the article by Bettina Giemsa, I wanted to make a comment at the end. In this past Robotalk session someone had asked about how to use two encoders for a four-motor drivetrain, and so here I am! I will be using the motors known as "Left Motor 1" and "Left Motor 2" as examples. What I have found works best is if you hardwire Left Motor 1 and Left Motor 2 to the same motor port in the DC Motor controller. If you look at the picture below, you can see that I have soldered both Left Motor 1's and Left Motor 2's negative wires together. I then added a third wire that connects to the DC Motor controller. If you do the same for the positive wires, you will have the robot "think" that it is only controlling one motor when it is actually controlling two. Then simply add an encoder to one of the motors (doesn't matter which one you pick) and then those encoder values will apply to both motors.Hopefully this helps,Trevor A. PTC is planning to release Creo 3.0 for FIRST teams in August/September. If you are planning some Creo software maintenance for the summer, you might want to put it on hold until PTC releases the details of Creo 3.0 for FIRST. The update will require a new software download and new software licenses, so please plan accordingly.PTC is working on some new projects to greatly simplify the installation proces and also streamline the user interface to remove many of the features and capabiliites that are used very infrequently by FIRST teams. This work will not complete in time for the first release of Creo 3.0, but PTC plans to have them ready with the next maintenance release of Creo 3.0 expected in the fall.Stay tuned and I'll let you know as soon as we have Creo 3.0 ready for download.

I signt up for the creo element/pro 5.0, but after following the link from my email i can only chose Creo 1.0 or Creo 2.0 ?? But i need element/pro 5.0..

We installed the licesing server as per PDF instructionsWe installed each client PC as per instructions.When we launch the client we get a "License request failed for feature".PLease can you offer any advice.. Attached is the error message

One of our team member has checked in his parts in the wrong folder. How can I move or erase this parts. The parts have references to other .asm and .prt. I can't erase because I always get error messages that the part is used in an old version of a assambly. (Like A3 is the current and the errormessage is with the version A.1)

When inviting new team members to your Windchill Project, the inviation message will include the text entered in the "Invitation Message" box of your project. If you have a newly created/requested project, you should have a default invitation message. If you have a Project that was created in the past, you should take a look at the Invitation Message to make sure it exists and is something you want to share with others.To change the Invitation Message, navigate to the Details page of your project as a Project Manager. Chose Actions, Edit Project and update the Invitation Message text area. It is a small input area, but you can put a lot of information in it. What I typically do is write the invitation in Notepad and then just copy/paste it into the box. Once you're done, simply chose OK and any new invitations will now include your personal message. Hi I am using the student version of PTC Creo 2.0 i´ve installed the software new because of new operating system but now my old license isn´t working. How i can get a new one. I would be grateful to get any solutions.

I have the role of the projekt manager in our windchill academic projekt (Formula Student).My Question is now: Can I link the creo parameters to the windchill parameters, because it is helpfull for searching.

I was having problems with 2.0: http://communities.ptc.com/message/260223#260223 so i saw 3.0 in the academic area as downloadable, now it says license doesn't work. I used the same license I got in the mail for 2.0.I am falling behind without please ASAP

PC running creo 2.0 Student. Used to work perfectly fine. Accidentally uninstalled quality agent got the error: http://communities.ptc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/176443-35048/CREO.png Pressing yes would have error 9 then creo quit.Tried reinstalling, didn't work. Then deleted all PTC and reinstalled didn't work. Restored computer to before deleting QA, now the box pops up that says PTC Creo Parametric Student, disappears but nothing starts. Tried with the other programs too.I followed the instructions on Creo 2.0 - Student Edition – Quick Installation Guide both times. Before part files would show as only the standard icon, but now they look exactly as they did before, like the real part. Tried from the bin folder and running as admin.
