I had posted this in the PTC Community Creo section, but wanted to talk about it here.Is there a way to catagorize tutorials that you have watched, you want to watch, you want to book mark for 3-6 months from now so that when you want to watch it again because you don't use this skill often and you get rusty quick, but a refresher tutorial will remind you what you need to do?Somehow the it would be good if this could be personalized somehow:http://communities.ptc.com/ideas/2588Thanks, Dale

Hi. One year ago I installed CREO 2.0 as a drawing tool in studies of mechanical engineering at the URV (Universitat Rovira i Virgili). Now the license has expired. I have the possibility to extend this license ?? Or should I BELIEVE uninstall and reinstall again ?? Thank you

I have installed creo 3.0 using the steup.exe file. When I go to open the software, it says "License Request Failure". Does the License have to be located in a particular directory in order for the software to locate it? I have a feeling the software is looking at a my previous lecense for creo 2.0.

Unable to access or create CAD or part objects. "tempdb is full due to ACTIVE_TRANSACTION.

We need to costrain a part to a part added later but when we select it, there is no option to constrain to that part.

Hello All,I've imported a VSP file (from the Open VSP program) into Parametric, and now need to add dimensions to the model. The issue is, the model was added without any form of clickable data points (lines, points, etc), and therefore no way of creating dimensions. Any ideas? I hope that made sense...

Hi all, I just downloaded Creo 2.0 and when i try to enter the license in the 'simple license entry' box, I am unable to select the box itself to type anything in. I was wondering if this maybe a local issue or if there is a fix. I am also having this problem when i try to install 3.0.Thanks in advance.

In this past Robotalk session someone had asked about how to use two encoders for a four-motor drivetrain, and so here I am! I will be using the motors known as "Left Motor 1" and "Left Motor 2" as examples. What I have found works best is if you hardwire Left Motor 1 and Left Motor 2 to the same motor port in the DC Motor controller. If you look at the picture below, you can see that I have soldered both Left Motor 1's and Left Motor 2's negative wires together. I then added a third wire that connects to the DC Motor controller. If you do the same for the positive wires, you will have the robot "think" that it is only controlling one motor when it is actually controlling two. Then simply add an encoder to one of the motors (doesn't matter which one you pick) and then those encoder values will apply to both motors.Hopefully this helps,Trevor A. PTC is planning to release Creo 3.0 for FIRST teams in August/September. If you are planning some Creo software maintenance for the summer, you might want to put it on hold until PTC releases the details of Creo 3.0 for FIRST. The update will require a new software download and new software licenses, so please plan accordingly.PTC is working on some new projects to greatly simplify the installation proces and also streamline the user interface to remove many of the features and capabiliites that are used very infrequently by FIRST teams. This work will not complete in time for the first release of Creo 3.0, but PTC plans to have them ready with the next maintenance release of Creo 3.0 expected in the fall.Stay tuned and I'll let you know as soon as we have Creo 3.0 ready for download.

I signt up for the creo element/pro 5.0, but after following the link from my email i can only chose Creo 1.0 or Creo 2.0 ?? But i need element/pro 5.0..

We installed the licesing server as per PDF instructionsWe installed each client PC as per instructions.When we launch the client we get a "License request failed for feature".PLease can you offer any advice.. Attached is the error message

One of our team member has checked in his parts in the wrong folder. How can I move or erase this parts. The parts have references to other .asm and .prt. I can't erase because I always get error messages that the part is used in an old version of a assambly. (Like A3 is the current and the errormessage is with the version A.1)

When inviting new team members to your Windchill Project, the inviation message will include the text entered in the "Invitation Message" box of your project. If you have a newly created/requested project, you should have a default invitation message. If you have a Project that was created in the past, you should take a look at the Invitation Message to make sure it exists and is something you want to share with others.To change the Invitation Message, navigate to the Details page of your project as a Project Manager. Chose Actions, Edit Project and update the Invitation Message text area. It is a small input area, but you can put a lot of information in it. What I typically do is write the invitation in Notepad and then just copy/paste it into the box. Once you're done, simply chose OK and any new invitations will now include your personal message.
