Hello guys, for Structural analyses, Creo (as most other FEA programs) offers a "Symmetric" constraint to facilitate computation of, well, symmetrical problems. What I don't get: How is this constraint different from just fixing (translational) movement orthogonal to the symmetry plane? If there were no difference at all, there would be no need for a separate "symmetric" constraint. Can someone help me out?   Thanx a lot.

So I'm currently a student, enrolled at an engineering school, and Creo is required for one of my courses. I already have Creo 4.0 installed on my computer due to a previous class requiring it. The class I am currently taking requires Creo 6.0 which I have installed on my computer. Yet every time I open Creo 6.0 Parametric, I get this error message (Attached below).   I am just trying to do my homework from home, any help would be appreciated.

License gets installed for the first time but when system restart, license failed.Every time i need to reinstall license.Please help with this

Hello, I am a mentor for an FRC Robotics team, and though my focus is on programming, one thing we are working on this year is to work in CADD.  I have been working my way through the "How to Model Almost Anything" Tutorial.  This is an invaluable resource.  I am trying to learn CADD so I can teach our members. The tutorials are invaluable.  Thank you for the wonderful product.  It is really easy to use in general.   FRC and all of our vendors provide .STEP files for all of our parts, and what we would like to be able to do is use them to model our robots.  II have successfully imported a gearbox and attached a wheel, However, I am confused when it comes to working models of moving parts that I import.  I think I understand how to do this with .asm files, but when I import a gearbox or a motor, what is the best way to turn it into a functional model?   Thank you again.   ~Mr. R^2 

Hi,   I am a user of PTC university. I have been following the course 'IOT UI development with Thingworx' and have been accessing the thingworx platform using the URL provided for a while now and it has been working perfectly. However, since the week of Christmas 2019, whenever i try to access the platform i am displayed the message 'Server error. Please confirm, if your portal environment is running.' or an NGINX error is shown. The server URL is: ptcu-thingworx83-ui.portal.ptc.io    Any advice to resolve this?    Thanks.   

Hi, my daughter tried to install the student version of Creo, however, when she got to the install licence section she hit enter and everything installed but obviously she had not input tje actual product code needed. We now get this error message and I'd like to know if someone can tell us how we can install this so that we can get the student version working and she can start to use the CAD software.    Any help would be appreciated  

this is one of the lines in (pim_installmgr.log)   The license request to ptc.com reported the following error: You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type.. what is the procedure to get license.

Hi,I have just finished the Fundamentals of IoT Development course and will like to register for the IoT Modelling course. However, I get the error message, "Failed to subscribe to new product. Please contact support at support@ptcu.com!", whenever I try to register for the course in my account using the given access code i.e., modeling83-2019-ptcu.

I Have a student at A-Level who is rendering a Lamp. is it possible to creature this effect in Creo. Ideally id like a dark room with the lamp being the only source of light.

Hey Guys, I have Such a GLTF File with Some Scripts Like this :  "asset": {"generator": "pv2gltf","premultipliedAlpha": true,"profile": {"api": "WebGL","version": "1.0.2"},"version": "1.0.1"},   I need To Import this File In Unity as A Vuforia Model Object  I Could load the file in Some Viewer Like Cesium Online Web Site viewer and Visual Studio Code ( Gltf Plug-in ) But Not Able to import Via GLTF Plugin From Unity Store ,If Any Body Knows How to Open in Other 3dModel Viewer or Soft wares Or know the way to convert the file to other formats please . Any Help Will Aprreciated .  

I tried to download Creo student version after the first registration. I had 30days Free Trial for ensuring my computer could run Creo. After I confirmed, I tried to download a student version. But I could not get to the page to download because of the error message I got. what is Reference #9.a7f33f17.1576607990.6bc3fce8? It said the Invalid URL and showed this number. I deleted all old programs from the 30days free trial.   Can you help me?   Thank you.

We need help setting up our student robotics team with Windchill.  We use Creo Parametric for a student robotics team. When I try to set up the server in server management, an error is displayed on the web page:  https://academic.ptc.com/Windchill/app/#_ga= Not Found The requested URL /Windchill/_ga=2.161477629.1134609948.1576355806-210369770.1576109881 was not found on this server.

Hi, I have enrolled in the "Fundamentals of IoT Development with ThingWorx" course delivered by PTC University.   Among the prerequisites, I must register myself as a new student on the "Thingworx academic edition" portal using the "fundamentals83-2019-ptcu" access code. Unfortunately, it does not work. When I click on "Register Now", it says "Failed to register user. Please contact support at support@ptcu.com!".   Does someone know why?   Kind regards,   P.

So in creo 4.0 I was downloading some normalized parts from libraries and now in Creo 6, It says that parts are created with commercial version of creo and creo crashes. Its not allowed anymore in newer versions to use these parts or Its some different problem?

Hi guys, I'm just getting started with Mathcad. Currently I'm trying to understand the different kinds of solvers. It seems to me there are three "basic categories":   1. "Single command Solvers", e. g. root, lsolve etc. where you just pick your appropriate solver and launch 2. "Solve blocks", which allow for separate guess values and boundary constraints, but seem to support only find, minerr, minimize, maximize and odesolve 3. The symbolic "solve" command, which seems to be for solving equations symbolically (but apparently also produces numerical solutions).   I don't quite understand what the latter two are for. What is their benefit? Aren't there plenty of solvers for everything (save maybe symbolic solutions) in the first "category"? So when should I use what? 🤔 *confused*   Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx.    

I was trying renew license on my creo 4.0 student license, but it wasnt worked, so I installed new creo M080 (i had M060). It worked fine, but i had problem with one of my projects. When i tried opened it wrote, that its not student license project (now I know that, it was just one SKF bearing that i downloaded), so I Installed M060, but it extremely slowed down. 3d graphic looks fine, but browser is horrible and its spreads to windows browser aswell. So when I close creo, windows browser is still slow. I need restart pc tu fix it. So I tried reinstall second time to M080 and its better than in M060, but still horrible. I am using .bat file to opening creo. I will try to open it normally

i logged on CREO parametric and i recived a email from schools@ptc.com with PTC license pack as attached. I setuped setup-school.exe and i downloaded PTC applications but i couldn’t log-in in this step. when i run CREOparametric 5.0 an error message appears, please find attached. Could you please help me? Thank you.

Hello Creo users, We are trying the new lattice tool and it doesn't work as expected. Unfortunately we are not able to generate something 😞 The final output ist a minimal surface body deformed and not even attached to the part.   Before:   After: It does not at all work like in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5jNDt2vZqw   Does anyone has an idea why this fails?   regards

Hi, I am trying to download student creo and when prompted when downloading entered in the license the instructional PDF gave me, but when I try to start Creo Parametric, I get the Error "License request failed for the feature." How do I fix this?
