Good day all,We've installed Arbortext isodraw 7.1 recently. While working in it we are not able to highlight the CURSOR INFO in the botom left of the drawing screen.because of that we are not able to work efficiently in isodraw. We've tried in the edit-preferences and highlighted the cursor info settings also. but, still it has problem. Kindly check it and advise.Thanks for your cooperation in advance.-Velu

I have a set of Visio files that I need to import into Isodraw.What is the best way to do that without losing information? (I tried exporting Visio to dwg and then to Isodraw but I lost some of the graphics on the way...)

Hey everybody,Is there a way from either ACL or Javascript to run a command line executable and capture the output from stdout? The ACL function system() just returns a success or failure status code. (I'm running Windows.)For a broader picture, I want to do some HTTP PUT and DELETEs using curl, and capture the resulting status code that is output to stdout. So if there's a reasonably sane way to do low-level HTTP stuff more natively in Arbortext, I'm open to that too.Thanks,James

I'm relatively new to IsoDraw. I'm running 7.1 CADprocess M040. I have a lot of legacy data (files that were created using AutoCAD and other formats) that I want to bring over to IsoDraw. Every time I attempt to import an AutoCAD file into IsoDraw it comes in with all the lines changed to dashed lines and I have to redefine line types. Is there a setting in the preferences that needs to be set? Or do I need to save my AutoCAD drawings down to a earlier release?

In IsoDraw the Template size which I use is Width = 183.5 & Height = 227. I illustrate only inside the template.But when I export the Illustration to CGM the width and height of the illustration increased.If the Width and Height is less then it is not a problem for me.But in most of the cases the size is higher then the template size.I found this problem rises due to the partial ellipse which are created during illustration.When the center point of the partial ellipse lies out side the template area the cgm size increases.So I created a macro to select the ellipse whose center point is outside the template and convert it to Bezier.But still the error occurs.Then I found that even when the elliptical profile is outside the template(When selecting the partial ellipse and press F12) the size of the cgm increases.I have attached an image through which you can understand my problem.I want to select these ellipse whose profile and convert it into Bezier path.Help me out in solving the pr

Hi,Have any of you seen an established Publishing Engine "lose" its integrationwith Tomcat?We had an incident recently when a stable, long running Publishing Engineimplementation (5.3 m110 to give you the "vintage" of this server), sufferedan outage that left it crippled at the application level. The serverresponded to ping but we could not make Remote Desktop connections, Tomcatwas unresponsive, and, of course, PE and Dynamic Link Manager wereunavailable.Support restored Windows services (I think by rebooting, but I'm stillwaiting for them to confirm that's the action they took) and Tomcat.Publishing Engine (and DLM), however, did not come back. I know the spellcheck improved after 5.1, and can detect when there aremissing spaces between elements. Is there a way (e.g., editing .dcf) to turnoff that boundary around the element <brk> check. I am currently using Epic 5.1 with Print Composer used as my documentcomposer. I will be forced to upgrade soon due to computer upgrades. I have just upgraded to Arbortext 6.0 M010. When publishing a PDF file I have notice that my what was once a 6 mb file has increased to a 30 mb file.We publish using distiller not PE Server or the Direct to PDF built in method.Anyone elsehad this problem?Thanks in advance.Sarah

i am very new to macro in iso draw. can i get any training material to write macro

I'm getting bogged down trying to do something simple.I'm trying to draw items in a macro, some in "No Pen", some with "Thick" lines and some with white fillI'm using rectangle, but am having problems both setting the fill type (can't see how this is set) and in getting the pen type to work.The example below is the simplest way I can show the problem pen problem.macro testrectangle Set active pen "No Pen" create rectangle 9 9 9 19 19 19 19 9 Set active pen "Thick" create rectangle 10 10 10 20 20 20 20 10 end macroWhat I think it should do is draw 1 rectangle in "No Pen" and the 2nd rectangle in "Thick", but what it does is draw both rectangles in thick and thin.Do rectangles work differently to lines - can't you set the linetype and fill for them in a macro?

Does the "oid_attr(oid, attrname)" ACL function return the DTD's "default" value for an attribute if that attribute is not present on the specified "oid" tag? The "help center" entry I have (5.4 M070) for this function does not specify this behavior. An issue I'm tracking down hints that it does, but I could swear I sawpreviously that it does not do this.In any case, I'm curious to know if this behavior is what most users of this API would want, or expect.

We are using isodraw 7.2 and arbortext 5.4 m080.We are creating the illustrations in isodraw, starting with a JT file and ending with a CGM. We are putting the illustration into a custom sized template page where we have some arrows and callouts already there. Placed outside the hatched area. In arbortext, we link to the illustration and it showed up correctly, masked to hatched area. When I would print to pdf everything looked correct, illustrations were masked to hatch pattern. The output worked fine until the consultants we have working with us, suggested we add cgm under the preferences, advanced prefeances, isoviewfileformats. Now it when we open arbortext we get no illustrations. The link is there, the size of the white space is correct, but nothing shows up. We then open one of the illustrations that does not show up in arbortext and move it off the background layer to a new layer, which we have caleld raster. Now it shows up in arbortext, and you can now see the illustration. W
