Hello, Part of what I do involves preparing general arrangement drawings for my company's product at installation sites. What i currently do is I use use lines, splines, points and rectangles in the a drawing file to represent the cross sections of terrain (the earth surrounding a pit, the cement surrounding a pool, etc.). I was wondering, is there a way to draw these features more precisely besides drawing lines and points to represent the cross section of the ground at an installation site?Thanks in advance!

Hello! In creo parametric how we can see the real weight of a designed oobject, with material properties. I have tried built in option but I am afraid that my settings are not right as the weight is being shown in more numbers than expected. The Intel HD4400 graphics card supports OpenGL 4.3 however freezes for approx 15 seconds on commands like "delete old versions" or "file rename". I have inserted config line graphics win32_gdi and everything works very fast with the exception that the model highlight is poor as expected and usually seen.   Any solutions to problem of partial freezes on the "delete old versions" or "file rename" command when using OpenGL. There are other commands which cause this 15 second freeze also but the above are the ones I have seen recently.   I know Intel HD4400 on a Toshiba machine is not officially supported however it does support OpenGL 4.3 so any help appreciated. Once again, I am battling Creo to do the simplest things anyone can do on a computer. I don't get it—did Creo developers make it a point to make simple tasks as complicated and counterintuitive as they could imagine?All I need to do: to save an assembly file in a different folder. When I select Save As, a window opens for saving a file—but it doesn't let me save the file! I have no idea why this window even opens up. I can do complex tasks in every other program, except for Creo it seems, which saps me of patience and time for the simplest tasks anyone can possibly imagine.Not a buyer, Creo. Hi All,is there a config setting, so that when I do my assemblies, i can pick the assembly, and not the part / child of the inteded sub assembly?I have an assembly, and in that assembly I have parts and other 'sub assemblies'. I'd like to click on a part (of the inserted sub assembly), and have it select the whole sub assembly, as it was brought into the main / larger / master assembly. I want to pick / click / select the sub assembly part, and not have to 'click - select parent, click select parent, click-slelct parent' all the time. A few times, i go too far and the thrid or fouth 'slect parent' gets me to the top of the assemlby chain!Yes, i can pick the sub assembly from the assembly tree, but with 100+ parts / sub assemblies, I never remeber the part No., and contstatnly scrolling up & down in the list is tiresome. Have you ever need a larger population of manikins for a scene?   I downloaded DAZ Studio 4.7 Pro Beta which is free at the moment.   It is very much like Poser and has some very sophisticated capabilities for a free offering. Of course, a lot of it is a teaser, but what you get is fully functional.   What I found useful is the ability to make some pretty realistic manikins with expressions and gestures with a relatively intelligent interface.  You can pose them and morph them; dress them and manage them in countless ways.   And the great thing is, you can export them to an object file format and control how it scales and how how many features it creates in an intelligent manner!   Once you bring this into Creo, you have to save out each facet feature you want to assign a different color to.  You re-assemble your object in an assembly all using the default origin.  Now you have a color assigned to what DAZ 3D considers unique surfaces.   No

I have a modal system that contains two parts, each constrained to ground. I would like to insert a zero displacement condition between points on each of the parts' extremeties. This is for validation of another software, which is why it is very simplified. It seems like a rigid link should do the trick, although I don't have an advance license and can't use advance rigid links, which I assume would have the ability for the link vector not to change. However, even when I try inserting a rigid link, the analysis fails. Also, a spring idealization doesn't affect the system at all. Is there something about modal analysis that is incompatible with these tools?As always, I've been super disappointed with the Creo knowledge base. I don't even know where to begin looking for info.

We are evaluating the use of Citrix XenDesktop for remote users of Creo Parametric 2.0. Although it installs just fine, there are issues with the video settings. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as we have only a short time left on our proof of concept installation.

Hello All,We have a user here with a long existing issue that we have not been able to resolve via PTC Tech Support.The user is on PDMLink 10.1, M020 with Creo Parametric M090 (was still happening in M050, M070 and M100) and he experiences regular inactive workspaces.He will be working away, then selects a function and is virtually kicked out of PDMLink and is greeted with the Windows Security pane to log back into Windchill.We have tried numerous things to try to remedy, but it is still happening.If anyone has experienced a similar issue and has a fix, we would really appreciate finding out how you did it.The content from the most recent email from the user is below:Images from his email are attached."Just got back to my desk, woke up my machine and re-entered my password to reactivate my PC.In Creo, selected workspace and immediately received the “Window Security” logon AGAIN, and from past experience only means one thing “Inactive Workspace”. Hi All,I have a machine that has a few variations / configurations. I've become used to the notion of Simple reps, and am wondering if there is a simnpler way to use them. (I find them extremely powerful & one of the few nice featues with Creo! But limited in their manipulation) Currently, I am adding parts to the assembly; unique parts for config 1, config 2, and so on. And, as I've desinged a few parts, I've need to move the parts from one config to another.. And, I'm at a point where I'm making detailed assembly dwgs for the various cionfiguraitons & cleaning up the assemblies in general. Simple reps are becomming invaluable to show the various parts in the various configs in various stages of assembly, but the work is a little tedious..So, the questions are:Can I move a part / assembly from one simple rep to another without having to make that part / assembly 'master rep', then going thru the other reps one by one and 'excluding' it from each? (there is always a missed nut

Heads up, and looking for others that have had this pop up recently...   I download all the releases for Creo to an archive foldere. After a few days of being on my system, Norton antivirus flags the install zip file as a high risk.   I reported this to customer support. I will update with their response. I would like to place all the users configs in one folder under the users name. The only file which I cant get there and have Creo read is the tree.cfg file. Is there a way to set the mdl_tree_cfg_file %usernprofile%\CREO2\CONFIGS\tree.cfg in the config.pro to do this? Is it possible to change the sheet size of the PDF that is automatically created by Model Manager / Drawing Manager when saving the drawing in Creo Elements Direct Drafting 18.1? We use B size (11x17) foramt and when using Store All, the PDF that is created is A4. I'm working with Creo Elements Pro 5.0. While having Creo opened, if I want to open my Windows Explorer ( not internet explorer ) and search for a file, a message box pops up and says Windows Explorer has stopped working and that it is searching for a solution. Than all my desktop icons, the task bar and all program windows open disappear. I have Creo 2.0 and the simulate lite package that came with it. I ran a few simulations on single components and I am trying to access the old simulations I already ran and just change the forces and constraints as existing instad of doing everything all over again. When I try to open the files, Creo tells me that I do not have the license to access the files and when I try to go through creo to open them, Creo does not see the files. Any ideas?
