Vuforia Studio

Looking over on Vuforia.com there are tools to make custom VuMarks. There is a video guide too.   Will we be seeing this functionality extended to ThingWorx studio?   Making custom ThingMarks with a company logo or for specific projects would be really nice.

Hi PTC Community,   I have added a SolidWorks assembly file (.sldasm) as my Model resource in Vuforia Studio, but the 3D model is not generating. Is it possible for me to use this .sldasm without incorporating any SolidWorks parts files (.sldprt)? Please advise.   Cheers, Jane  

Goodmorning everyone, in the Studio I saw that there is the possibility to apply shader and texture models in order to have realistic effects on the components. Moreover, in an experience made by PTC Italia for Dallara I have seen that a scene background very similar to that of Creo Parametric can be applied.   Explain in detail how to do the 2 operations?   Thank you, Matteo.  

have been using a trial version for 14days now. I created a new account reinstalled the studio but I'm not able to access the studio.

Hello everyone, I am trying to add some instruction text in a popup label, i have found some solutions here on the conumity, like showing the stepname, and that is working, however some of my instructions contain 2 lines of text. Replacing the stepname by step_description is not working. Note: I am new to coding, and have no experience.    Does anyone already done this and can share me some code?   This is what i have now: var labelId = "label-1"; $scope.$on('newStep', function(evt, arg) { $scope.setWidgetProp( labelId, "text", arg); // get the currentStep from the arg var labelText = $scope.view.wdg['label-1'].text;var InstructText = step_description$scope.setWidgetProp( "label-1", "text", InstructText);});

Hi All,   url with '&' does not work as hyperlink in Vuforia View Application. I tried changing it to %26 but it fails. Does anyone has any solution for the same.   Regards, Ankit Gupta

SCO customers are getting more interested in AR and 3D plant. Both Intergraph SmartPlant 3D and AVEVA PDMS are popular in process industry plants. So many customers from these plants want to import their 3D models developed by those software into Studio. Does Studio support these kind of model format? Or how could we do to import them into Studio?

Is there any plan to support Magic Leap or way to make it run on Magic Leap?

I am a PTC partnet and I have a client that forgot their username and password to publish experiences of vuforia studio, he only acquired a studio so he can not reset his user from thingworx, is there a way to reset his user to publish?

Is there any way to put HTML tags into for example Label widget? For instance i need to: - put a label like "H2O" but more like chemical style (water symbol), in HTML I would use "H<sub>2</sub>O" but when I put it into into label Text attribute HTML is not interpretted - put some text with fragments in bold like: "This is a very <b>long</b> text"   The only what somehow "worked" is to put many labels one to each other ant assign different CSS to it, but it is pain.    Thanks in advance for any hints, Michal

Hi Everyone,The customer has bought the license of Studio and Illustrate and despite having followed the procedure of activation of a new PTC account with the various customer code (SCN and SON) fails to set up the Studio license.The counter of the remaining days is active on the portal of Vuforia Studio (Studio portal) (30 trial days)How can I support the customer? What can I do?     UPDATE: Customer tried to log in with the credentials of his PTC (1 year sub) account on Vuforia Studio and the URL Experience Service remains sets to the Trial Experience Service.   Thank you

Hello guys,   I have created some properties in new thing in thingworx and i am fetching them in studio experience but problem is some times those properties are changing in experience per written service and some times not . I have set all the permission as well. Second issue is i have written one state in thingworx and calling it in experience throgh state based formatting on one 3d gauge but here also that created state is not working and color of that gauge is not getting change. i already have set all the permission here also. Kinldy help me on above mentioned issue.Thanks 🙂

I used Free Trial version. After opening new Project I see loading symbol, and don't see canvas. All buttons active, but canvas blank and see only loading symbol-rotating wheel.

Hi,   I have a strange behavior when using Select-component. In the middle of the screen I have a popup container with a Select- and Button-component. When I select the Select-component to choose one of the items in the list the UI moves upwards (To keep the component visible?), but when I'm done with the selection and closes it the UI remains in the upper position, it doesn't move back to it's original position. Not until I rotate the phone (UI is then re-drawn). Is it possible to force a re-draw with JavaScript?   Also, is it possible to remove the label part from the Select-component? If I leave it blank it still occupies most of the width, I would like the value itself to occupy the whole width. Can it be done with CSS? In general I find it really hard to find any documentation how to style the different widgets/components with CSS.   BR, Tony

hello, i have a question, is possible change the color of the gauge 3D with respect to value, for example if the value is 30 the color is green but if the value is 90 the color is red, is that possible?    with the gauge 2d is possible using value min and max but in gauge 3D is possible?

Hi,   I understand from the install guide that we need Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 Update 1 as pre-requisite Operating System for On Premise Installation of experience server ( Production Usage ).   What about Non-Production/Testing purposes, do we still need Linux OS? or Windows would do?    Thanks, Avinash

Hello, we want to visualize images that users can try on their walls in their homes. we tested already Vuforia studio with one image and one own image target in one 3D container and published it as an experience with no thing mark. We loaded the experience from the bibliotheque with View AR app and it works so far.   But now its only one picture, but the user shall be able to try e.g. 100 different images. But with the same image target. So i want to know the best practice: Wether - make 100 projects with each a different picture? so the user must always load another project from the app(not so good) and the generation of 100  projects is very hard (100 times nearly the same) - or can we put 100 different images in one project and switch somehow between the images. If switching is possible, how could that be achieved?
