Hello, I have a question regarding Windchill dropdowns. So by default, when clicking an action in a dropdown the dropdown closes automatically like the one shown in the image.What I need is a way to keep it opened so the user can click multiple entries without having to open the dropdown several times. The customize button you can find on the Windchill homepage does exacly that. The dropdown does not close after clicking an entry. This way you can easily select multiple checkboxes at a time. Is there a way to prevent the dropdown model from closing or is this Windchill specific and can not be customized. Best regards

I have found that users can reassign tasks that are not their own to any user that they want.  How does one stop this?  Only an admin should be able to do this type of thing.

Hi Everyone, I am looking for SAP ECTR Connector details for Windchill. We are thinking of using Creo to Windchill then to SAP ECTR to SAP. I have seen in the Leverx youtube video it is possible, but I wanted to get more information about it. How to create/upload representation through API?

I am planning for a windchill upgrade from 11.0 to 12.1 on the same server. I have gone through the Upgrade Guide but it is little confusing. My Question is: Should I do the Import and export of LDAP and Database for this in-place upgrade also ORI would just follow the same steps to install 12.1 on the same server as I did for 11.0?( such as LDAP connection and Database user?) and run the upgrade Manager.After Running the upgrade Manager, Will I see both versions available on my server C drive --ptc folder?OR it would just overwrites on older version?

I have a requirement to report out a whole mess of classification attributes for all levels of Parts Link classifications for a BOM (custom table views). According to this article, CS72284 , the answer seems to be that its not possible. Or is it?  I have transitioned away from using soft-types to use PartsLink. As a result, all my previously soft-typed parts are now WTParts (normal Parts) and the previous soft-types are disabled from instantiation.  Since I am using the same attributes as I was before in PartsLink as I did with soft-types, everything transitioned over perfectly.  I also noticed or thought that the classification attributes were showing up in custom table views: Well, not quite. What I was seeing was the attributes for the soft-type Parts that I am no longer using. Hello, I am receiving these 5 script errors every time I boot up Windchill and I am trying to figure out the root cause of these. They seem to be caused when loading the home page, and once I click "no" on all of them I can use WGM just fine. Thanks,Mark

Hello, I have a general question about the Windchill documentation.So there are a lot of listeners available to use in JSPs for customization like "wizardLoadComplete" or "afterLoadAttribueTable" etc. but is there a documentation of all listeners? I need a specific listener but how am I supposed to find it without a list of all available listener?I was not able to find anything about those events, maybe someone can help me or has the same problem. Best regards

how to create custom Status Glyph based on attribute value?

Hello,my edit wizard has 5 steps. You start at the first step, the Apply and Finish buttons are disabled be default.You have to go through the first 2 steps so the Apply and Finish buttons enable. However, I need them to be enabled all the time by default so you can open the wizard and apply the changes right away. I came up with this: Ext.getCmp("PJL_wizard_ok").enable(); This works for enabling the button, however, I need a place to call it. I was thinking about using a listener but I have tried "wizardLoadComplete" which does not work. Is there another way to achieve this? Best regards

We are trying to fetch multiple objects using the Query-Links. We use 2 Query-Links embedded inside "Parallel" webject. I've exported an ldif file from Windchill using the Windchill Directory Server Control Panel. My question is, how do I convert this ldif file into a format that I can import into Windows Active Directory? I figure I can use the ldifde command to import an ldif file into Active Directory but I'm unsure how to convert the exported ldif file from Windchill into a format that Active Directory will accept. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS17One of our customer has Windchill 11.0 running production system. Also they have hard model object for "Part" created and they want to move to standard Softtype of WTPart. They have future plans to upgrade to 12.0/12.1 because of longer support windows.We would like to know PTC views on :1) Wether they should convert hard model to soft model before the upgrade or it will be easier to do in 12.x versions. (Source or Target)2) What is the process to follow to convert Hard to SoftModel, are object references within Windchill systems will be also get updated? e.g. links to change objects, usage links.3) Do you have any reference documentation to describe this step by step procedure.

Hi I have created two documents (123.doc and 456.doc) and attached to a promotion request. Now the state of my both documents are changed to "under review". I am unable to search the promotion request by 123.doc. search result returns as zero results.  But I am able to search the promotion request by 456.doc.  Both the objects are attached to single promotion request 04185  Any ideas are welcome. Thank you.
