Environement:   Wndchill QMS 11.2   Description :   Customer would like to generate security audit report for WIndchil QMS audit object. internal name of QMS Audit object type is ‘com.ptc.qualitymanagement.audit.WTChangeAudit’   if it is possible, Do we need to any specific modification of The auditing configuration file (<Windchill>/conf/auditing/configAudit.xml by default) 

I am running Windchill 10.1 and am having an issue with a Promotion Request stalling between the "Set State to Under Review" and the "Approve Promotion Request" task.  My user completed their task and sent it off to 2 approvers but it never made it to that step.  From the queue it looks like I am getting a Entry failed due to database rollback.  The items in the promotion objects are 2 WTParts and 1 WTDocument.  What is WIndchill trying to tel me the issue is?  We have not made any changes to the OOTB workflows.

Hello, The client has a need to default the notification sender email address for all notifications being sent from Windchill. To enable this I have made the following changes: 1. Added wt.workflow.work.UseDefaultNotificationSenderEmail = true 2. Changed <ie:param name="FROM" data="senderEmail@client.com" default="<%=DEFAULT_FROM%>"/> in <WT_HOME>\tasks\wt\mail\Sendmail.xml   I wanted to check what is the best practice to customize Sendmail.xml file? With the COVID-19 virus situation, we want to allow our engineers to work from home with Creo and Windchill.   We have a small number, around 10 who are experimenting with working from home and are running into an error when trying to upload / check in Creo files from a workspace.  Especially larger files, they are all getting a "HTTP Upload Failed" error. Checking on the PTC Tech Support site, there is an article  (CS249369) that addresses this, but says it is an issue with the network setup. My question is, has anyone had experience with successfully setting up Creo and Windchill to work over VPN?   If so, what did you do to get it to work?

I am having issues linking my workspace and can not get parts to open from windchill. Hi.I defined afterVK validator for my wizard step (extends DefaultUIComponentValidator).I have 2 questions i cann't find answers for in customization guide.1) Validator works in both ways (Back and Next). I need it to work only when moving forward. How to disable it for "Back" button?2) If i have an error while validation process, i show it at pop-up window by specifying UIValidationFeedbackMsg for UIValidationResult. How should i define UIValidationResult to disable pop-up if a i have no error. I have no error - i don't want show anything for user. But now pop-up window with NULL message arises.Thanks.

So, here I was at a new company 13 years ago with one job, setup PDMLink and get everyone using it. It was tough enough teaching the users a new system but on top of the latest CAD features, we had to teach them how to associate their CAD models to a WTPart. Owner is the default, there is contributing content and blah blah blah...just read this presentation Best Practices for Creating and Manging CAD-Centric Product Structure in PDMLink 9.1.   Which one do you use? I wanted to ensure that WTParts were created and linked to the CAD model. This would ensure that when someone used that cad model, it would be reflected on that assembly's BOM for its WTPart. Users would have to choose what type of association they wanted ahead of time before check in or via Auto-Associate. Not happening.  Users are creatures of habit. Hi,   Please assist.   All PTC documentation state that you can create visualizations for manufacturing resources by using Creo View.   But how exactly do I go about it.   I have created a Jig (Tool) which I would like to represent in my Operation.   The only way that I can think of getting a representation is by associating a CAD part or assembly?   Does post-publishing come into play here?   Appreciate you assistance.   Thank you.

Hi all,   We have a group of people that have recently left the company. Therefore, I ran the Search for Disconnected Participant and Delete from Windchill.   The issue I have is that, some of these users started workflows. When you reassign a workflow to another user, it always comes back to the process initiator. However, the initiator does not exist. Is there a way to change the Process Initiator or reassign the task permanently?   Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks.

It takes long time(more than or around 30 minutes) when uploading a large structured assembly. Hello,   I have a content holder with two revisions, let say revision A and B. I applied on both revisions a service effectivity. Revision A is valid from 01-01-2020 till 31-03-2020. Revision B is open ended and starts on 01-04-2020.   I want to apply an service effectivity filter on an Information Structure that contains the content holder.  The result of filter must be that it shows revision A when the service effectivity is between 01-01-2020 and 31-03-2020 and show B when date is 01-04-2020 or later.   The result I get on the moment is that it only shows revision B when the applied service effectivity date is 01-04-2020 or later and the content holder is removed from the structure when the date is before 01-04-2020. It's not showing revision A.   Is it possible and if so how?

Hi all,   The Criteria in the Advanced Search is ordered alphabetically and also its case sensitive. So if there is a criteria with lowercase it will be added after all the other.   Is there a way to remove the case-sensitive and only have them ordered alphabetically?     Alex

When you receive a Workflow Task, the user must be able to get an IBA (with dropdown)  in the Input Panel, only when he selects Reject as the routing option. How can I do it?Below is the exampleSomething like this :So Only when I select Reject, an IBA should appear with some values. How to achieve this customization without using Information Modeler.

I have a requirement that allow a role participant to modify  CR at In Review state. The team member can only read at In Review state at policy ACL. The Role/ participants are not setup at context team. It is defined in  CR's  team template. So the role  populates at the team in CR workflow process. So I use CR's lifecycle ACL to give the Role/participants (at the WF process ) the modify /modify content access. However still the participants can't modify  the CR.  Any thoughts or advice on where I am doing wrong.

Has anyone considered (or successfully implemented) a means of displaying for a user whether she has permissions to share to a project BEFORE trying to share and it failing? In my head, I'd like an option perhaps as a column in the Structure tab (for assemblies) that says something like "Sharing permissions" and then displaying "No sharing, Share ok, Share and check-out" per user based on their specific domain access (i.e. whether the user has read, read/write, and change permissions policies for a particular domain).    We have a lot of users participating with external suppliers and often it comes up that something can't be shared (always because of a permissions issue). I'd much rather users have this info up front rather than going through the steps and then at the end getting the failure.
