Greetings, I'm having a lot of problems with windchill 11 integration for Inventor 2017: The detail level All Content Centre suppressed is not working anymore and I cannot fill the windchill part list with correct units of measure as like lenght, retrived from document settings of Inventor file.   Can anyone help me?   Thank You

Hi All,OOTB Windchill change management, we started from problem report and the process got completed after Change notice completion.1. Create Problem Report - add affected objects if any.2. Analyze PR.3. Create Change Request4. Analyze Change Request.5. Create Change Notice.6. Complete the Task - here normally designer will do some modifications/changes on resulting objects to eliminate the issue on affected objects.7. Reviewer reviews the changes.8. Audit change notice.. if approved here, all process completed with appropriate changes.If we add additional routing for Rejecting Change Notice at Audit task, it will simply reject the Change notice as well  respective CR and PR, but the changes which are done during the change task will be remains in system.How we can revert back these changes which are present on affected objects in case of Change Notice was rejected after change task was completed in system ?Is any way to tackle this ? Wondering how I prevent components inside suppressed sub-assemblies from appearing on the CAD structure, single level report.  The multilevel report is correctly filtering out the suppressed components but the single level report is not.   I've messed around with the 'manage structure views', and I do have a condition for 'suppressed not equal to true', but that seems to apply to each component directly.  It does not filter out components used by suppressed sub-assemblies.  Any idea how I get a flat, single level report that does not include items used by suppressed sub-assemblies?  Thanks.  

I know that there are other topics on this over the years but I have some specific questions that I don't know if I've seen them explained fully and all in one place.  We connect to our corporate AD for users and it's read-only.  When a user leaves the company, they are removed from the AD group that Windchill points to and they are left in a Disconnected state.  We don't have access to that process.  We just end up with a Disconnected user.     Given that setup: If you don't delete Windchill Disconnected users, what do you do with them?  We think that we would need to create a new WindchillDS user that we would reconnect them to.  We would have to alter the display of the name to indicate that it's inactive.  We would also remove them from all groups which is good enough for us as we don't put individuals into profiles.  How has your process worked for you?  How is your process different?  What challenges do you have wi

Within our organization we are migrating everything into a new domain. We use an automated tool but that does not support Windchill. I have one server Running Windchill on Apache, I did some checks and find loads of files with entries to the “current” name and domain. Is there an easy way to get Windchill working after the migration or do I need to update all files manually?Tips and advice are more than welcome

we work for main Automotive Industries, and all they have own procedure to approve supplier drawings.Now due to that we are supplier, we need to:1. approve internally to "release status", before send the drawing to Customer.2. The customer, (He want collaborate without its own PDM, or its pdm is different from our) control the drawing, and "watermark" a .tiff (Image) as approved, and send us the document back.3. now how we can manage this phase ?The solutions are probably different, but I list some:A. I have done this before, but it was years ago and I want to get some assurance that my process thought is correct.   We are experiencing boot issues on the Oracle server for Windchill. Oracle itself is located on the e: drive, so the boot issues of the C: drive should not effect Oracle, other than the server not starting.   I have a different server that is running Windows Server2012r1 instead of the current Server 2008r2. I do not think that will make a difference. If I install Oracle on the new server, run the windchill configuration setup, drop user, create user, then import an Oracle database export and run xconfmanager to change the db server name, everything should come back up. No Rehost utility needed for this type of change since WIndchill itself is staying on its original machine.   The 2 settings in db.properties to change would be: wt.pom.jdbc.host wt.pom.servicename   If I have an empty database install from the Windchill setup, do I need to drop user/c

All, I'm interested in giving a few super users some Admin capabilities.  I'm not completely sure how many permissions I want to give them.  I'm interested in the method someone might take to create such a user (I'm calling one Engineering Admin).  I don't think I want to add them to the Administrator's group.  I'm thinking a special group and use Profiles to achieve the permission set for them.   What do all of you think?James Windchill 11.0

Hi All,   Our client would like that when creating a New View Version for a WT Part in revision A for example, the new view version has revision B, instead of A as it is OOTB.    Any ideas here?   Thank you.

As of now date and time are displayed and the attribute data type is date and time, Here I need to separate date as one column and time as 2nd column. Is this possible?

I have created a new sub-folder under the document library. I have created a new sub-type for a new document type. When I create my first document in Windchill using that data sub-type in my new folder, I get a flash bar that says document created, but nothing appears in the folder. If I change my view from All to Owner, the document shows in the folder. Change it Modified by and it still shows, but go back to All and it goes away. Should not the All view type show everything with no restrictions?   I am on Windchill 11.0 m030 and have added new sub-types in prior versions with no problems. Has anyone else seen this issue and/or have any suggestions or work-arounds?

For some reason, when i pull a multilevel report from windchill, my report comes out incorrect when i export it.  now, understand.  its not incorrect with its quantities, but, it is.  here is what i mean.  my 2nd level assemblies, are correct.  but under those 2nd level assemblies, it has the incorrect qty of parts listed.  meaning.. i need (2) of the 2nd level assembly.  all the 3rd level parts are doubled in qty.here is the example of what i am talking about.  my top level is 9700-1729-05, under that, i have (2) 9700-1479-01 bottle assemblies.  but, it shows a qty of (2) of the bottle, label and kit.  why does it do that?  is there a way for it to not report it out like that.  see the lower attached image of the actual report from that part.  it shouldnt double the parts under the assembly. here is the 9700-1479-01 bottle assembly Multilevel report.  notice, there is qty of (1) of each item, the bottle, the label,

Is there any way to detect and tag CAD Components (Created for Example by Creo) that have import geometry in them. The import geometery can be from STEP, IGES etc.   To expand on this, identifying components in the database ( PDMLink) that are shrinkwraps.

Hi,   I am working with the ECAD WGM and Altium and would like to have the Derived Data always selected during Check In. Unfortunately, there are no actions in the toolbar or the table header to Select All, requiring every user to scroll down and check off all the items listed here. This is a nice feature in the new ECAD WGM, but users would like to have these items selected by default so they do not have to remember to select them on their own.     -Scott  

How to change component temperature  of system for Windchill Quality Solution 11 to calculate MTBF?

Windchill PDMLink/PartsLink 11.0 (M020)   Is anyone aware of a way to declassify WTParts in bulk? I know how to modify attributes via spreadsheet export/import, but I cannot seem to figure out how to declassify objects in a similar way. It would not be feasible to manually declassify WTParts in my situation.   For what it's worth, I noticed that manually declassified WTParts still retain their PartsLink attributes. I noticed this when exporting as an importable spreadsheet. It seemed that the removal of the "Classification" node structure attribute value removed it from appearing with other classified WTParts (as well as removing the "Classification" section on the "Details" page), but when trying to apply this on existing classified objects via spreadsheet import, it seemed to skip over removing that attribute value (as well as when removing the column altogether), leaving the WTPart visibly classified with all the rest.   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Customer is trying to configure a Windchill 11.1 M020 database in a remote database server running another database application using PSI. He's receving errors in Define Sttings step : "Failed to connect to the database. Pease, verify database connection information and login credentials. if WBR is selected to install then database SID and Service Name must be same"... (please, see the attached PDF for more details about steps and behavior).  Customer tried to configure a new listener and he confirmed that the user and password are working through command line to connect to the database. The OS in the database server is Linux.
