Hello Community,   I'm looking for a possibility to pop up a modal message dialog when working in a workflow like the dialog that is openend on doing this (also like a Java JDialog.show()):       throw new wt.util.WTException(“message”)   but when calling the searched method, the program flow shall continue with the next line, like:   boolean showInfo; ...     showInfo = true; ... if (showInfo) {   notifyUser("info message");   // go on with code }   ...  

We have a custom utility using which we can download the PDF representations in bulk. We are downloading the representation using the API  : RepresentationHelper.service.getDefaultRepresentation()   We have enabled the audit logging for Download (READ_CONTENT) and View(VIEW) events  in the file configAudit.xml We need to have this information logged in the audit report. What sequence of methods should i use to get filtered list of persistables according to filter in TableViewDescriptor?

I have a table in wizard page. I have actions menu on the table. When I click of the actions on the table, I need to get all the oids from the table. I don't need to have to set the setSelectable(true) as I need all the rows from table. How to do this?ArrayList a1 = paramNmCommandBean.getActionOidsWithWizard();When I use this it returns only the parent oid and not all the rows inside the table.Appreciate your help in this.

I need to access the administrative console but the only team member who had access to the tool is no longer with us. Is there a default password that can be used to access the tool? I'm not sure if they ever assigned one directly. This is for Windchill 10.1 and 11.0

Hi. I need to add some js functions for "Set Classification Attributes step". So i've added them to codebase\netmarkets\jsp\part\setClassificationAttributesWizStep.jsp But i can't see them in source code of WTPart create wizard when this step is open. Why? Where are they? Where should i put them to? And i can't register PTC.onReady function for this step for same reason i guess. Adding it at the end of jsp file does not work. What jsp file should i edit to add my js functions?   Thanks.

Windchillers,   We have a specific attribute Standard Price.  This is a text field that is populated from our ERP system (SAP).  We would like for this attribute to be only visible to the Engineering Group, and not those outside especially Sales and Field Service since this price is not the price objects are sold for.  It is an internal cost that Engineering uses to cost out changes and updates.Is there a way to hide an attribute from certain groups?  Or perhaps better deny visibility to everyone except the Engineering group.  Thanks in advance,James HallWindchill 11.0 M030 CPS09WGM 11.0 M030Inventor Pro 2017Windows 10

Question. We have a situation where we want to identify an object as something we sell. There are at least two ways we might go.1. It seems that marking them as a Service Part would fit the bill nicely as the documentation defines that object as a "record of a component or assembly in the bill of material of a product that is manufactured and shipped to a customer."  Which is pretty much what I need.  However it also seems we have to buy a Service Module (or something?) to be able to use this part designation. (perhaps I am mistaken?).  I don't see these parts as having a different lifecycle as our regular parts.2. Another route would be to create an attribute indicating if this object could be sold.  Probably a Yes/No type of selection, defaulted to No (for us it would be).  This is a good solution since I think we would be able to use this in a search.I wonder, what would be the best path for us to take, any recommendations/insights?  Than

Hello,   In our Windchill system we currently have a large library of standard hardware parts that were created in Creo Elements (Wildfire 5.0).   All of our users are now on Creo 2.0, this means that whenever they are loading an assembly that contains a standard hardware part, Creo marks it as changed and presents the user with the "The object is read only as it is not checked out" with the 4 available actions, Continue, check-out etc. This means that the user has to select an option every time they load the model to not modify the standard hardware part in Windchill.   What I'm wondering is - is there a way in Windchill that I can effectively open a part in Creo 2.0 that was initially created in Creo Elements and regenerate it and resave it to Windchill as a Creo 2.0 model, for hundreds of parts automatically?   Any help is much appreciated!   Kind Regards  

Hi All,   I am trying to create  a WTPart from java. In my set up the classification is set as a mandatory attribute.   Could you please help me on how to set  the value of the primary classification? I tried to set the default value for the classfication, however it does not work. Hi. For table "My Tasks" i need to show some attribute (postalAddress) of PromotionNotice creator. So i added alias attribute for wt.workflow.work.WorkItem and tried to set the mapping as follows: primaryBusinessObject^wt.maturity.PromotionNotice~creator^wt.org.WTPrincipal~postalAddress But Windchill says this mapping invalid. I tried some other options but without any success. Is there any posibility to make such mapping: WorkItem -> PromotionNotice -> creator -> postalAddress ?   Thanks.  

My current setup is as follows:   Windchill PDMLink M030-CSP06 Creo View 4.2 Adobe Reader 2017   Everything seems to work. I was able to create a representation in Windchill (PDF) and view it in Creo View. However, I am not able to annotate the PDF file in Creo View. I checked the setting for Reader and mad sure 'Enable Protected Mode' was deselected and I am still unable to annotate.   - Is there anything I am missing that needs to be done? - Would installing Creo View PDF Reviewer be the solution?

Hi, We have a setting in windchill that drops the file extension from the CAD object when you create WTPart which is fine for the Model however that also drops the extension from the drawing. We then get checkin errors as the drawing is trying to create another WTPart that is not unique. Is there a setting I should be using that sees the drawing as additional content in the WTPart?   example; 1234.prt when checked in will create 1234 (WTPart) 1234.drw when checked in is also trying to create 1234 (WTPart)

I am trying load a wtpart into windchill through API's and i would like to know how to set the lifecycle state of the part to a specific state.

I need to ensure the MFG Team views only Released Drawings . I modified the Lifecycle state's Access Control and unchecked all permissions for Released State for MFG team . But the policies aren't taking effect

I have new items in multiple workspaces that were created prior to today.  This morning I tried to open one of the files and it couldn't be retrieved.  Can't export, upload or anything.  The Event Manager messages were no help (go figure).  The file was never uploaded or checked in prior.  I can open existing files that reside on our Windchill server.  This happens no matter what workspace I go into so it's not localized to one workspace.   If I create a new object, I can upload that with no problem.  It's just anything prior to today.   I tried going offline from the server and got a weird message: "Preparation to go offline failed. Do you want to go offline anyway?"  Going back online was fine.   I thought maybe the workspace was corrupted, but all at the same time??  That doesn't make sense.  Anyone got any ideas to help??  Would resetting the WC server help??  I can't think it would since these obj

Hello,       I want to know if windchill admin can change the value of any attribute on part created by some other user.   Let say, I'm user "A" created a part with some attribute, "isPrimary" with value "true". This part is checked out. Now as an admin I want to change the value of that attribute to false. Is there a way to do that?   I tried by bringing the admin context in the session:      SessionHelper.manager.setAdministrator();   And then tried to modify, but it didn't really work for me.   Thanks

In my early years I pulled in a family table of screws and changed the colors of a few of them. Now I can't check in any of my models or drawings since now every screw in the table shows modified and new? When I try to check something in it pulls in ALL the screws and check in fails. The event manager says "   8-32x1-9-16pphsem.prt   Document must be new or checked out in order to be modified. This is the same for all 676 screws. If I try to delete them alone from my workspace I get "   To remove a child (2-56x1-11-16pfh.prt), parent (fastener.prt) object should also be removed

Hi all.I am looking to report a count of times an ECN Task is reworked. I had mapped it means to Count how many "Complete Change Notice Task" tasks -1, plus Count of "Rework Change Activity" task.simplifying in a formula :Count("Complete Change Notice Task")- 1 + Count ("Rework Change Activity") Today I´m running 2 different reports to have these counts (as in attachment), then export them and merge using excel.   Is it possible to use OOTB QML to consider both conditions in same report?          

This question may sound a little crazy but has anyone created a design review manually? What I mean is if the feature/option to create a 'New Design Review' is not available, is it still possible to construct a design review?   Currently running Windchill 11.0 M030-CPS06

Hi all, Customer is not able to access access LDAP Server via Info*Engine Administration after changing the Port number  (as described in CS50496) / Error : "Unable to connect to the LDAP server". Windchill DS is accesible using the same crindentials !!  In the logs, the following error is observed : "wt.system.err wcadmin - javax.naming.CommunicationException: kdbs0043.kdbw2k.br:389 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect] " Anyone knows if there is any further changes that should be done besides that ones described in the above article  and how to resolve and investigate this issue further ?
