In CEM module, multiple Cause (FailureModes) codes cannot be associated in one row within table. We want to request functionality to be able to do that.

I'm trying set the state of all the objects attached to a promotion or CN back to the state when they started the workflow. The problem is the objects could have multiple starting states, either In Work or Development In work, so I can't use code to state state of every object attached to the promotion or CN. I was thinking to query the objects, which could be a combination of WTPart, WTDocument, and EPMDocuments, and maybe finding the maturity history of the latest revision, and setting the state to that initial revision. Problem is, I don't know how to do any of this. Has anyone experienced or written code to do something similar?

Hi All,I have a Problem Report having 10 Custom Attributes on it.My requirement is like that, if User belongs to Group A tries to create a Problem Report, for him/her only 5 Attributes should be visible.If User belongs to Group B tries to create a Problem Report, he/she should see 7 Attributes on his creation page.If User belongs to Admin Groups, for him all 10 custom attributes visible on Problem Report creation page .Is this feasible by using any UI Validators ? datautilites etc ? Hi,   I have a requirement as follows 1. There are 2 document objects used in windchill (say Doc1 and Doc2). Doc2 can be created only when there is Doc1 (i.e. Doc2 can be created from details page of Doc1, The Doc1 number will be added as an attribute value in Doc2)   2. I wanted to create a report such that the output should show the value of Doc1 number and Doc2 number but with the condition that the Doc1 number should be in output even though Doc2 is not created.   Any suggestions would be helpful.   Regards, Logeshwar.J

So if someone is going to modify a model that's in Windchill you have two general options:You can check it out to your Workspace, modify it, then check it back in.You can save the model to disk, modify it on disk outside of Windchill, import it back into your Workspace, and finally check it in.The first option is what I would hope is done the vast majority of the time.  But I'd like to be able to check for this.  Is there a way you can tell?Thanks.

I will be upgrading servers in the near future.  All we’re doing is a physical to virtual conversion, so the hardware is being upgraded, nothing on the software side changes. The server’s hostname and IP address remains the same as well.  My IT tech says the client machines will not know the difference but my CAD support(reseller) says I will need a re-host of Windchill at a cost of $4000.Any thoughts?

After a successful patch of CPS22 from CPS2. I received emails saying that I had several participants that were disconnected from LDAP. Currently, where used tab only show the latest revisions of the parents.If a part was deleted from a parent, when I go to the where used tab, this parent doesn't appear, therefore I cannot find where belonged this component.I ask for the ability to show the iterations of parents where was used the part.

We are in the process of rolling out wtpart centric PLM. To do that we are mapping CAD Documents to wtParts and also the Dynamic Document (Arbortext) Assembly Instructions.The problem is that the Assembly Instructions can revise without revising the wtpart and or CAD Document. When that happens the Content relationship from the wtpart to the Dynamic Document is broken.The workaround is to iterate the wtPart and restructure the Part to the Dynamic Document. This is world be inefficient.Wondering if anyone has experience publishing the content from Arbortet dynamic document as the primary file of a wtDocument?The reason is to use the Reference Document link to the wtPart that would enable the link between the wtPart and wtDocument regardless of Version of each.

I got a weird one for you guys, I've searched and searched and come up empty so far.We have a CAD worker set up for visualization on a Windchill 10.2 / ProIntralink 8.x server.The CAD worker properly grabs the PROE_FoundationVIS license when it starts up, but every time it tries to publish a file, it also requests one of our Intralink_8_0 licenses as well. This then prevents one of our 4 users from connecting to Windchill. If the case is that all of our Intralink licenses are used up, the CAD worker publishing fails. Hello Folks,I worked on a listener which attaches a document to the part in "references" table.The scenario is once a document is attached ito a part as described by document then the same document should go to references table (of that part )also.I used the POST_CHECKIN listener and it tells part cannot be checedout as this is not the latest iteration.I even obtained the working copy of teh part then tried to modify.But this works only when the part is checkedout again not in the same checkout.Any one has any idea on which listener i can use so that if a part is checked out to attach a document in described by then taht document should get attached in references also. I really need help with this. It bugs me. When I go to open certain things (drawings, assemblies, whatever) I am given the pop up window that says "This object is read only as it is not checked out" and gives me a list of things to check out. I can find no rhyme or reason to what it wants me to check out. For instance, right now, I am trying to open a drawing of an assembly. The drawing is in a released state, the assemblies in the drawing are in released states. All I want to do is open the drawing. Why on earth would I be asked to check out two (not all, just two) of the sub assemblies?Any clues, hints, nudges in the right direction would be hugely appreciated. I'm sure there's some logic, I'm just completely missing it.

I have gone through <WT_Home>\codebase\wt\clients\saveas<WT_Home>l\src\com\ptc\windchill\uwgm\cadx\saveas these directories and tried to modify but I am not able to see any modifications even after restarting windchill server each time after modification. I am completely new to windchill customization, all your suggestions and recomendation will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just ran into a SolidWorks drawing with some GTOL's.  Parts of each missing when viewed in Creo View for some users, but not others.Turns out those who saw correctly have AutoCAD installed.  Seems that we need all to have the correct gdt_____.ttf file under C;/Windows/Fonts.Publishing / Viewing SolidWorks is becoming a bigger and more complex puzzle every day.  Might revisit seeing if we can get .plt output to work.
