Windchill PDMLink CPS 12.0.2.7Hello,several users mentioned strange behavior of NX connected to WGM. The issue is, that when user of NX has an assembly with family table components (bolts, nuts, washers, etc.) open in session, during the automatic synchronization of workspace WGM triggers a chainreaction in NX of opening new windows with family table components, so NX gets frozen for cca 20 - 30 seconds and then starts automatically opening new components (bolts, washers etc.). It can result in having like 20 new windows with bolts/washers/nuts open.This has been observed by many users of NX, precisely NX2212 and I believe we can replicate it.Can you advise how to prevent this from happening, please?Thank you.DH

I am using windchill 12.1. I needed to add a "-" revision to my versioning scheme. I updated the versioning scheme for EPM documents using the wt.series.LoadFileBasedSeries utility. Everything seemed to load fine. I was able to update the OIR to use the new versioning scheme. I created a new CAD document. When i try to use the wt.vc.ChangeRevisionLabelUtility with the new cad document I have no problem changing the versions from A to - to 1 etc.  However when I try to do the same to an preexisting cad document I am unable to make the change and get an error saying the revision value is not valid within the series. I am guessing it is because the cad document was made prior to changing the versioning adjustment. Is there a way I can set older documents to use the new versioning scheme?

I am using Windchill PDM Essentials Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.0.5503 Service Unavailable on Window interface and Creo is unable to continue working with Windchill.The Windchill's server is producing large files until the drive is full. The data base is normally less than a quarter of the drive space. As per the original post.    Hello @HelesicPetr,I have a table that I am calling directly from a jsp file:  <div id="mvcTable">  <mvc:tableContainer compId="com.ml.util.testUserTable" height="800"/></div>The table automatically brings back a list of users.  The users are selected by checkbox and then I have a custom action that allows action on the selected users from the Actions menu.  I'd like to implement an inline message that gives information once the custom action completes.  I would normally do this from the jsp file but the custom action is not accessed from there.  Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

Dear community, I need to find out what database tables store the information about the bill of material of the products. Need to find out the top level nodes and all linked epm documents or parts.What we try to do is get the files of all products so we can Export all products from windchill.Any help is appreciated.Thanks.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: User undocks laptop while running NX and WGM for meeting, then redocks and NX/WGM is frozen and needs to be restartedDescription: NX 2206 and WGM 12.1 From the user, "Still having an issue when most times when i dock/un-dock for meetings i come back and my NX model is frozen. It allows me to switch between part windows but cant rotate or zoom or use any tools. Requires a WGM/NX reboot to fix." We just moved this group to using Windchill a few months ago, and the issue was never reported prior, so I suspect WGM may be trying to do something during the un-docked period, that is causing the lockup?  Meetings are all within the building, so the user would be going from a plugged in ethernet cable, to wifi, and back. This may, or may not be related to the random freezing, when WGM decides to do 'something', and renders NX totally non-responsive for some period (a few seconds to half an hour or more).  This sounds similar to the

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS14We have two different Windchill servers of the same release (the second server is a full copy of the first one), and we use the Export/Import Utility to transfer information between them. When transferring CAD drawings that already exist in the target system, the CAD drawing is ignored (expected behavior), but the associated visualization is duplicated (not expected behavior) and set as the default representation. Thus, over time, too many visualizations associated with a drawing accumulate, and the export jar becomes too large. How can we adjust the system to ignore the visualization if the associated CAD drawing was ignored during Import?

I have reconfigured out test Windchill instance to SSO and am getting some final errors with Navigate pulling data from Windchill. Authentication uses Windchill so I was able to see the redirect to Windchill, authenticate and I am properly authenticated. Testing view documents, I was able to search on a document, see proper returns and even a document thumbnail. This should mean I am getting a proper connection back to Windchill to retrieve data.  When I get the document details, I get back a few errors and no details appear. Same is true for the other apps for CAD data and parts (BOMS do appear). Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: Would like to collaborate with an external supplier in China using Kingdee PLM to obtain their BOM (product structure) and import into Windchill. This will be a one-time activity for pre-production builds and a bi-weekly activity once we get to production builds. Description: Have not been able to confirm what BOM capabilities exist in Kingdee PLM with my external partner. I am not sure if it is a product issue or communication issue. In either case, I would like to have my external partner export a product structure so I can ETL it into Windchill.    Right now we are using a manually edited spread sheet process and I would rather work directly from a BOM report out of Kingdee PLM so we have a consistent data input source. 

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Using Siemens NX 2206 and 2306. When you go File, Open... in NX, and type in the upper right search box, it fails to find anything. Same with Windows Explorer, if I search in the PTC Places directory.Description: So users would like to be able to search their workspace, using the search in NX, but it does not work.  I suspect this is because "PTC Places" works like a symbolic link?  Is there a work around or setting, to make this function?  The same thing happens when using the search in Windows Explorer, it fails in the PTC Places directory, but will work in the .wfs directory that PTC Places points to.  

I have set up the code this way with the aim of successfully uploading a document to Windchill using Postman, which works fine. However, when I convert this to C# code, I don't get any errors, but in stage2, the contentInfos is coming up empty. The same data in Postman is coming through filled. I suspect the issue is in the file upload part, but I can't think of a solution. Even though I have downloaded the incoming file to a folder and provided the file path, contentInfos is still empty. Because of this, I am unable to upload the WTDocument through the code. Can you help me with this?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M020After creating a CAD document using PTC creo 3.0, the automatic association function will create a new wtpart component, and there are two options when selecting object types later. The default selection for "Parts" and "Cloud Parts" is currently "Parts", and I need to determine whether to default to "Parts" or "Cloud Parts" based on which product library the current workspace is located in. We are upgrading to Windchill release 12.0.2.5.  We are currently using PTC System Monitor (Dynatrace) for monitoring Windchill 11.2.  Now that it is no longer included with Windchill we are wanting to evaluate other tools. If people are willing to share, we are looking to find out tools others are using with Windchill (purchased software or open-source tools). Performance measures:-Application performance - how well the app is able to process web requests.-NOT looking for server performance (memory, cpu usage).-How well can application process web pages, perform searches, queue processing, etc.-We would be interested in what others are measuring as well.

I have a code like this, and I ran it in its current state, and it worked. After that, I changed the ID value in this part ("wt.epm.EPMDocument:114592789") and assigned another EPMDocument ID. Of course, I also changed the file name and file path. When I ran it again, it still tried to send the request using the first information I used. I've implemented a Custom User Picker Utility, and displaying it on an attribute called 'PR Owner' on Problem Report. When I initially create a PR and search for a user using the find icon and pick a user, or edit an existing one and pick a user, it is working as expected.But, when I open the PR in a Edit Mode, and save/finish without making any changes to the previously selected user in that attribute, the values vanishes, it is not being persisted upon save. Once the save is completed, the PR Owner attribute value is empty. Any suggestions/ideas on how to persist the value?
