Below is the code of a mapkeymapkey m ~ Command `ProCmdRedefine` ;~ Activate `UI Message Dialog` `yes`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `dashInst0.stdbtn_1`;I need to repeat the above mapkey n number of times , say 100 times.any way to do it
Hey you all Is there anyway to make or change the common name after you made the PRT and while you make the DRW. For the moment I cant find anyway.
Please provide how to use functionality of BUILD CUT ( was in Wildfire) in CREO 3.0 ?
In Creo4 it is still not possible to use parameters of the pattern in a GTOL.This works only with “stupid” text input or with complicated relation in the model. Not suitable for users. When using the GTOL, it should be possible to have access on pattern parameters, eg. to show the number of patterns. If changes in the pattern (eg. numbers of holes) then the GTOL should also be affected of this change. The same applies to the semantics, the references of the pattern should be optional added to the references of the gtol.
Please tell me 4's planar bend creation in sheet-metal has been updated and is not still the bleepin clusterf...k it is in 2! What a pile of steaming dog crap!
I am looking for a stencil type font in CREO. Does anyone know of one? Thanks,Nick
Ok people. What is everyone using for a 3D mouse and how do you like it? I'm looking for one that is good for both CAD and a lot of other work. Not just for CAD.
I want to change this:SCALE &det_scaleto this:SCALE &det_scale[.1]by default.I thought this was a detail configuration option but I can't find it.
I am sure this has been asked to death. And I should know the answer to this by now.But I'm gonna ask again. Is there a way to get a circle centerline to show in Creo 3?I have been using cosmetics and hiding on layers.WayneF
One of the dumb things Creo does is display choices non-alphabetically. This is probably best for some menu choices. It is not for Filters and other areas. I know we can define our own filters list which I prefer not to. Can we get the Filters list to display alphabetically?
I have modelled this by measuring a badly worn gear from a piece of equipment, but I am not sure how best to go about finding a replacement. Does anyone know how to describe this gear?
Hi all, some weeks ago in a meeting with Steve Partridge he told us, that there may be some presentations for the new UI at LiveWorx in Boston. As it's unfortunately not possible for me to take part at this event, i would like to ask when it will be possible to see some of these presentations somewhere else, maybe in germany? And for sure earlier than at the PTC Forum Europe in november/december...?Thanks, Jens
How do i model a tube (left arm only) in two trajectories in one pass? i got the left arm rotated in one direction (see 1st pic) but i also need to be rotated in another direction like in pic 2 which i dont have. I had to split it in two sketches. I am sure there is a better way to model this. Any tips?1st pic:2nd pic this is what i am getting.
When I export to an .stp file the default action is to include what they call shells. This causes a problem for a vendor so I must deselect this option every time I export to step.Is there a way to change the default export geometry so it doesn't always include shells?
Hi all,I'm attempting to model a canted coil spring in WF4.0 but have only managed to model what is in effect a 'garter spring'. The difference being the coils of the canted spring are not perpendicular to the trajectory but are 'canted' over at an angle. These are sometimes referred to as 'Balseal' springs. Can anyone offer any help on this please?I've attached an image of the spring I've modelled as well as a photo of a true canted coil spring.Any help appreciated.Thanks.
When I create a new model and then go to change to a different view, Front, Right, Back, etc., all I have available to choose from is Standard Orientation and Default Orientation. Is there a setting I need to change?
What is the best way to assemble marbles of a given size into a container and determine how deep 100 marbles will fill it. I have a nominal marble diameter, minimum diameter and a maximum diameter and need to measure all 3. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for ideas.
Is there syntax for having triangle flags added to text in a note?
I have Creo 4 installed and have looked at a few things but haven't yet been brave enough to lose reverting back to Creo 3 if things have gone south. For those brave enough to dive in how is the experience going? Have you ran into any crippling bugs? From what I've seen so far it is looking somewhat promising. I like some of the changes in the sketcher and I like the ability to extrude starting from somewhere besides the starting plane.
Hi all,I've got a pair of components in which we've modelled an involute spline explicitly, using an equation curve. The modelling approach is as follows:Generate one involute curve from the base circle up to a diameter beyond the final tip diameter:Extrude this, by Projecting it into a sketch, mirroring it, and adding a root fillet between the two flanks:The involute equation includes an offset angle, which generates the clearance between the two parts by effectively rotating the offset about the origin. If I measure the angle between the two curves at any diameter, I get a constant angle, as I expect:However, when I measure between the actual solid geometry (and this is what our analyst noticed when running FEA), the angle is not constant, and the OD is closer than the ID:It appears to affect both flanks, regardless of whether it's the 'original' or mirrored side, so I don't think it's caused by the mirroring op. A curvature analysis also suggests that the mirror is good,

Is it possible to make some points at 3D coord. by imported the coordinates data such as text or csv file? The Creo/Element Direct is our CAD .Thanks in advance for your advise.Best,Masa
Hello I need to create the auger that i have attached. I can do the spiral and the straight piece going down the center of the spiral. But connecting the two is a problem If anyone can help that would bee great I am using Creo3.0
