Okay, haven't had the need for a very long time to edit a symbol from our symbol library and don't remember ever doing it in CREO 2. I tried to search help, but cannot come up with the how and to save it back. Is there something simple that I am missing?Thank you,Brian ToussaintSystems AdministratorHoshizaki America, Inc."A Superior Degree Of Reliability"618 Hwy. 74 S., Peachtree City, GA 30269Phone: (770) 487-2331 ext. 1216Fax: (770) 487-3359www.hoshizaki.com
I'm trying to figure out how to view just all my workspaces and all my checked out work in 10.2.I can't figure this out.Workspaces==========In 9.1 all my Workspaces can be viewed in a single table by picking Home, and Workspaces.[cid:image001.png@01CFC134.EC9B61E0]In 10.2 how do you see this list without seeing all the other crap in your home pageSimilar question on Checked out work.
CREO2 M120. remodeling a geographical nightmare that someone created. Pic 1 is what I need to do, pic 2 and 3 is removing it with Flex, Pic 4 is putting it back on with normal radius tool. And ideas? I thought there was a way in the past to stop radius from being created on tangent chains? maybe that would do it?There is also a .5 radius on the lower side, Pic 5, this might be key, too. What I dont have is a good picture of what they look like blended together, although it is amazingly close to Pic 1. (it doesnt wrap around like you would think; it just ends).Pic 5 the radius isn't supposed to continue to the right. (pic 5 is putting the .5 radius on first.)
Hello!I have some experience with other Cad (ViaCad), but i am a beginner with PTC Creo Elements. Here is my first model:If I try to shell it with a hole in the marked position (coloured ring in the picture), I get the message:Bei Erstellung der Schale wurde(n) 8 Fläche(n) gelöscht. Es wurde ein zusätzliches Flächenteil erstellt. Sie können es u. U. zum manuellen Erstellen eines Schalenteils verwenden, oder Sie ermitteln die Problembereiche im Originalteil. So I have no hole and i am not able to make one.In ViaCad I make one click an it is shelled. For me, it seems to be a very simple modell for shelling. What goes wrong?Pleas look at my model in the atachment. Thanks for helpStefan
Why does creo create a new file with the same name when I save the model. Is there any configuration option so that the file gets updated and not created again.??Thank you.Shashi.
Is there a way I can see if an object is checked out or created in someone else's WORKSPACE without admin privilege?I am getting the FILENAME conflict and the object does not exist in any of my WORKSPACEs or in Windchill cabinet. I know the admin can search the object and pin point who has the same object name in their WORKSPACE.Thank you in advance 🙂Calvin
why does CATIA win over Creo (Pro/Engineer)? 1. Is it the functionality?2. The marketing?3. Or both of the above? If so how can it be countered?
Why PTC copy Inventor e SW?Creo is a bad copy of "Inventor" and SW, for every command you need to open a drawer, a stressful thing. Why PTC does not track its own way.If it continues so will die.Do you remember CADDS5. I await your opinions.
Thanks Rob. I agree 100%. Show dims save time but it’s not the only way. I thought the world was against me when I suggested one option to create an associated dim, albeit without using a show dim J Paul Paul Mailloux ▪ Program Manager NyproMold, Inc. 144 Pleasant St, Clinton, MA 01510 ▪ www.nypromold.com
Hey, I have a copy of this book written by Steven G. Smith from Cadquest.com. You can go there for a detailed description. Please hit me up off list if you are interested... just cost of shipping from zip 48316...PS: I also have his Windchill PDMLink 9.1 CAD User's Guide available too...
Is there a way to change the columns displayed in the search results in Creo?Right now it displays Name. I'd rather see File Name.[cid:image001.png@01CFBD20.711DB850]David HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550
In 9.1 you could set this preference to show the filename as search criteria on the simple search.[cid:image001.png@01CFBC55.93D1B570]Looked like this:[cid:image002.png@01CFBC55.93D1B570]I don't see anything like this in 10.2. There is no preference.[cid:image003.png@01CFBC55.93D1B570]I don't want to get results from the FAST indexer. I just want the matching filename.David HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550
We have just upgraded from WF4.0 to Cre2.0 m090.Due to this many mapkeys are not working and hence I was wondering is there is way to find out the path followed by existing mapkeys in WF4.0If there is a way to find out the steps then we can manually re-create them in Creo2.0I am asking this because there can be certain steps that could be missed if we try without knowing the steps and only the end result occuring in WF4.0Thank you.

Hello,I try to define a spring using "special spring" in a static analysis. My problem is the coupling of the translation and rotation / force and moments. The entries of the matrix are KTXX, KTXY, .... [N].Does anybody know how to interpret these values? From my point of view, the term KTXY connects the rotation in X to the translation in Y. In other words, KTXY creates a Moment if a displacement in Y direction is applied. But even if i put in the correct ratio ( KTXY = MX / UY ), the results are not correct.I've double checked the units, and they fit.So my questions are:1) Are my assumptions correct? Is the coupling term the ratio between the resulting Moment and the Displacement?2) How does the "special spring" matrice work? I suspect something like this.... Translation(3x3) , Zeros(3x3) Coupling(3x3) , Rotation(3x3)I hope somebody is able to help.Thank you!

What methods or algorithms are available in Creo when conducting an optimization study? If descriptions of these methods are not commonly known a brief explanation would be greatly appreciated.
