I am doing something really simple in Creo 2.0. I am backing out a bundle from a connector that has some wires inside.When trying to route the same bundle back in, it tries to join all the wires to the other end of the wires, rather than the end of the bundle.Is there a way to turn off the auto wire route or whatever this is trying to do??I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong here, but I don't think so.

Hi All Am looking to make the jump from education to industry.Have got a meeting later today and just recieved an Email saying they might give me a test.Feel quite competent on the software but slightly worried things are diffrent in indusrty to education and i might have some skills gaps.has anyone got a test or can give me a heads up on what might be on it.Many ThanksSimon

I have created a custom tab to make Creo Parametric 2 look the way I think I want it to. Strangely, though, some of the icons are large and others are teeny. So, in the image above, the Shaded with edges icon is teeny, but the Wireframe icon is large. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong?Also, at the top of the screen, above the tabs, there is a 20mm vacant space, just wasted. Is it possible to reduce the height of this dead space? I think it may be caused by the help, learning connector and command search icons hudding together for warmth beneath the minimise, maximise and close icons at the top right.Is it possible to entice them out from under?Then there's the 12mm strip at the bottom of the screen, which has all of 5 icons and a selection filter box in it, but extends all the way across the whole screen. Can I reclaim some of that fertile area?Cheers,John

I recently got a email from eMachineShop and I have downloaded their free CAD program and I am currently playing with it. It's pretty simple but I don't know if it's worth the time and effort to learn. Has anybody here ever played with it or used it in a project?Just curious...John

Can anyone tell me if Transparent View is available in CREO 2.0 Parametrics? When I expand Display Style I do not see Transparent as an option.

Hello again. I seem to get a message almost every time I save that says "model XXX is notregenerated" As a rule, I would like to save my models fully regenerated. I don't everremember seeing this message before moving to Creo2. Is there a settingthat controls automatic regen? Is this message linked to some newfunctionality in Creo2? Its No Big Deal to regen and then save, but I'd like to understand what isgoing on. Does anyone know? If necessary, I will make a mapkey to regenand then save. but I think there is something at play here and I want toknow what. Thanks a lot! (again) -Nate

Pro-Gurus,Does anyone know of a way to extract the dimensions used to create features of a model to an Excel file?We are looking at using these dimensions to help out Inspection, this way they would have a list of gauges to use.Thanks in advanceKevin Brandt

Now that the dust has settled, how do you find the option regen_failure_handling no_resolve_mode?Do you find people save stuff with regen failures and check it in for someone else to put right, or is it a welcome release from the drudgery of having to fix every minor problem before being able to continue?I have misgivings that I might find people encountering regen failures and either not noticing, or just deciding to leave them for the next poor soul to deal with.How do you prevent this scenario, whilst still allowing users the freedom to use the no_resolve_mode option?Or do you simply neglect to tell them the option exists?I'm interested to hear your experiences.John

Hey all. I recently switched jobs and I have gone from using Inventor & AutoCAD to Creo Elements/Pro. The last time I used Pro/E was years ago and it was release 2001i...been a while I know.Anyways, I still have my personal version of Pro/E 2001i that I used while I was doing private contract work and have gotten set in my ways of how I like the program setup. Creo Elements/Pro is very similar except that I don't see where I can turn Intent Manager off. Personally (at least at this point in time) I still prefer the older menu style of sketching. I know my way around it.Is there any way to turn off Intent Manager in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0?Any help would be much appreciated.

WF4, M220I need to create an alternate view that is essentially like the default isometric view, but starting with a different front view, if that makes sense.  I remember a long time ago seeing angles to rotate from a front view to get to default, can anyone tell me how to do that?Thanks,--

Going Live with Creo 2.0 in a couple days....are you able to create "new flyout" (WF5 term) in the quick access tool bar? I cannot seem to find it, so I am assuming that it no longer exists.

Hello,   I'm looking for a way to export NC information from Creo 2 / EFX. The DSTV file format generated by default does not seem to comply with the DSTV-NC format.   Is it planned to do so in a future version ?
