You got it man! The ALT key is the trick. Now I should have known that - being a user of Photoshop. More and more its nice that everyone is adapting to a universal way of doing things.THANK YOU!!!!!
All,On WF5. I can understand why they isolated selection via tabs. However - how do you select all (like a dxf)? I have to be in a particular tab....and it will only pick the type that I am in. I am guess "group" is going to be the consensus?WayneF
Hi.I have a failed round on edge F334. See attached image. Is it possible to search for and locate this particular edge?I've tried using the search tool, but without luck.Best regards

Assemble, assemble again and redefine screw connections in Pro/ENGINEER. SMARTLibrary is an auxillary application to Pro/ENGINEER. It offers compfortable and easy to use functions to assemble and administrate complete screw and dowel pin connections.

How to make the major components for a bicycle in Pro Engineer Wildfire 5.0?Is there any guide?

I know this would be a very low priority. I'd rather see other things fixed first, but I did create a poll for this issue (having a tree.cfg option for the first column width). Please vote if you like the idea!Have a great day!
Hi,I cant figure out how to erase this line! Ive unmerged and merged several times and its still there. Thanks,Kaci
My sincere, humble apologies and gratitideto the savvy programmers whom I called out yesterday only to find theyhad predicted and overcame MY ignorance with regard to Real Time sectioning control. There is was, large as life, in plain sight for all to see.....THE POWERI SOUGHT! It is indeed possible tomove the sectioning arrows wherever and in any orientation....IN REAL TIME! Beautiful.Thank you and goodnight Cleveland.
Anyone know if it's possible to get the active section arrow to show up at the screen center? Having to back the model out six miles in order to grab the arrow is just plain dumb. I know I can change the dim in the tidy white box but that is equally dumb as the preceding sentence.Note to PTC Developers: We model parts much bigger than a paperclip. If there is no way to change the location and/or tagging of the active section arrow, then it is counter-productive.Signed,Hoping my ignorance has already been addressed andovercome through stellar programming.Thank you, that is all.
Hello all, Any solutions to this challenge ?
A 500k stp file, opened by wildfire 4 then save as prt format is about 700k,but used creo 1.0,the file is about 60m?
A few weeks ago, a customer filed an SPR about some beam results. In it, the customer asked why Simulate produced very different results for three different models that seemed nearly identical. It took me a while figure out all the reasons, some of which turned out to be fairly subtle. This blog post gives a pretty complete explanation, and touches on the following topics, which may be of general interest: Asymmetric beams Creo Simulate's multiple beam coordinate systems Shear center Solid sketched sections Weighted links Total Load at Point tl;dr : Simulate computes correct results, but you have to be careful when using solid sketched beam sections. Problem Statement The short description of the SPR states: "max disp mag" value is unexpectedly too high compared to theoretical results when using a 3D Model or a beam with standard section in Creo Elements/Pro Simulate 5.0 The problem to be solved is about as simple as it gets: a cantilever beam with a load on the end. Hi, It's my frist time to use PDX ,can I get some tutorials from B&W Software? Thanks a lot .http://communities.ptc.com/community/creo?view=discussions
I am wondering if we can do a force calculation with core Creo analysis and if so, how.
I was adding some rules to layer pipe extends and pipe connects. After extending the rules I can no longer get into layer properties so that I can add some additional pipe features. In Creo 2.0-m070Any ideas?David HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550
My department has a file server with limited space and we have found that most of the usage is coming from FEA results that were archived in the past. In most cases, the entire directory that was used for analysis is compressed into a 7zip file and placed on the server. The problem is that most of these files are several hundred MB in size. Because of this, we are evaluating a way to keep all of the results data, but dramatically cut down on the file sizes. Does anyone know the best way to archive the mechanica results so that file sizes are reduced? What files are necessary to keep and which ones can be deleted?
Hello, Can somebody help me with User-defined features? How can i create it (not paste already created) ?I´m looking for it, but i found only way how can paste it from file.
Hi all, ive downloaded the software and ran the installer which all works fine, but i can't 'build/create' a package (msi) so that i can allocate the software out across the network to the students pc's?has anyone done this? if so can you help.thanks.
Thanks Ryan, but aren't we in the Creo community?
wf4I have never created a CAD model of a patterned mesh with a gradient. I attached an image that kind of illustrates just the idea, but the mesh would need to fill the internal volume as well. Do I need a specific module to tackle this? If you can point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Questions1. Where can I find information on the names and roles of the associated elements (at least the ones related to 2D image representation)?--> [ I know PreviewPNG represents the corresponding element in the SolidWorks (.SLDPRT) files. ]Best regards,Baldur
