I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0For hole making manufacturing sequences, for whatever reason ours defaults to all models instead of reference model. To be more clear, I'm referring to when you click on the Mill tab>Holemaking Cycles>Standard (or whatever floats your boat)>References>Details>Options...the dropdown here defaults to All Models, and I am wanting it to default to reference models, since i am setting my reference model. As you can imagine, when we go to make a new program based off of an existing one, and we remove a fixture component, it causes manufacturing sequences to fail because they are being tied to these random models instead of just to the reference model.I have searched config.pro options and the knowledge database and I'm finding nothing that can point me in the right direction on whether the default to this can be set when creating new sequences. If this does not already exist, can this be added as a config.pro option?
I am trying to run a Kinematic type analysis. I could not see the option to enable Termination Condition for the analysis in Kinematic type of analysis. How can I terminate the run after meeting a certain specified condition? Thanks!
I tried a couple of *.mcd and *.xmcd files. In one case a red "Keine Lizent" appeared, no other resonses. But no new file was created, neither in the original folder nor in any other folder. The issue was even described earlier. The found "solution" was finalised with the recommendation to contact the support. But it is not possible to open a support case (probabaly due to the trial version), although I have an old user account.
I have a family table with a bunch of holes that cannot be patterned because they are in a family table and due to other geometry constrains, the chamfer cant be associated with each hole. Is there a way at the end of the model tree to just chamfer all holes on a surface without specifically picking edge geometry?
Hello. I came upon an interesting case: singularity function defined in my particular case as < r - r_o >^0It is also said that if r < r_o then the whole function is equal to zero. Do we have any means of evaluating this function in Mathcad, such that, if I plug inn any values of "r" and "r_o" into the function, it will return to zero (of course if r < r_o)? Otherwise this function is always 1 (if r > r_o and if we ommit the case when r = r_o). Best regards,Sergey
Hi Guys, I would like to apply a chamfer to the highlighted edge. But every time I apply the chamfer it runs along the entire circumference. How do I apply it only to one edge.
In PTC article CS363748 are for the various Creo main versions TOOLKIT sample projects attached. However, only the Debug configuration is preconfigured for these. As our company is currently working with Creo 10.0, I have taken a closer look at the example project for this version. However, my statements also apply to the projects of the other versions. The Debug configuration can be compiled and linked, but in my opinion it is not correctly preset:The project setting "Configuration Properties > C/C++ > Runtime Libary" should be changed from "Multi-threaded DLL (/MD)" to "Multi-threaded Debug DLL (/MDd)", shouldn't it?Even if this change is made, the project can still be successfully compiled and linked. However, if you then add the line "#include <string>" to the other header files at the beginning of the program code, the DLL can no longer be created and the following error messages appear in the output console: Rebuild started...1>------ Rebuild All started:
I am using Creo 10.0.7.0.I have created a table in a Creo drawing where I want to enter values—particularly fractional values—in a specific format, as shown in the first image below. However, I haven’t been able to figure out how to achieve this formatting.I’ve tried adjusting the config.pro settings and other available options, but it's still not working. Currently, the values appear as shown in the second image. I hope you can see the difference in formatting between the two examples.
Hi, I was creating a drawing for the cabling which was done in 3D(CREO 10). While trying to create BoM using repeat region I was not able to include spools as item in BoM. Can anything be done so that the BoM contains spool details also as items and quantity be the total length of each spools required. I was able to create an additional table with spool details but was not able to combine both. Thanks in advance
I have 21 instances in a family table. The generic contains all the parts for all instances. I'm creating a drawing parts list (BOM) for each instance. I would like the instances with common items to have the same find number fixed in the parts list. I'm aware you can fix index on the part list (BOM), but I would prefer not to do that on 21 instances. Is it possible to fix the find index numbers on the generic and have that propagate to the instances as parts list are created for each instance? I'm using CREO 9
Anyone know if it's possible to reverse the zoom direction when using the scroll wheel? In Pro/E rolling the wheel towards you zooms in whereas in every other application I use it zooms out.I understand PTC's thinking in that by rolling the wheel you're manipulating the object however the de facto standard of every other app assumes you're manipulating the eye point. Thanks,Mike FosterATK

Is it possible to open SolidEdge model in Creo assembly using Creo Unite Technology?
I am looking for a way to make a radial pattern given a horizontal dimension from the circular centerline and a radial dimension from a point on that centerline and the spacing is a chord length. The first hole is 6" horizontal from the center line. The beginning of the radius in 16" below the horizontal centerline. The radial dimension between holes is a chord length of 4". To complete this I backed into it by calculating the angular spacing given the radius and the chord length. Is there an easier way to pattern this than manually calculating the angle?
hi,i have a problem with Creo View; sometimes whern opening an assembly trough Windchill the loading bar get stuck at 99% (more or less) and it never grows. Our version is old but it never shows before Creo View 3.1Windchill 10.2
Hello! My team is looking into the Sectioning tools of Creo Illustrate. We are running Windows 11 mostly with Illustrate 11.1 While reading through the Documentation, we found this page To View the Section in 2D ViewIt refers to a "Show 2D View" button in the ribbon menu in the Sectioning tab, then the Setup group. Looking at my Creo Illustrate, I see no such button there. I figured it may be hiding, so I went into the ribbon customization menu, and looked for "Show 2D View", as well as looking at everything tool in the Sectioning Category. I couldn't find anything Would someone be able to let me know how me and my team can access the Show 2D View feature for sectioning in Creo Illustrate? I'm probably missing something. Thanks!
This variable is not defined. Check that the label is defined correctly. The variable is defined, redefined, calculated, recalculated, but it still shows me a red error when I include the variable in an equation.
Hello! Does anybody know how to change the units (from m to mm, m^2 to mm^2) in the chart component graph? Please, take a look at the attached file. Best regards, Sergey
The error is - "The value must be a scalar"
Good morning to all, for my calculation I've to deal with badly conditioned matrices. The matrices includes terms with its own unit of measure. The bad conditioning is coming (also after some simple numerical tests) from the very different order of magnitude of the terms and it could be reduced introducing, new, custom unit of measures (such as for example MegaNewton for example). I know how to introduce custom unit of measures in input. BUT what I want is that for an entire spreadsheet (or even a region) a custom unit system is used; said differently I want that the results are in the custom unit of measures: how can I do? Many thanks in advance
We are running Windchill 12.0.2.12 with Creo 9.0.7.0. In the last few weeks, we are seeing workspaces suddenly going to offline mode. Windchill was installed over a year ago and Creo 9.0.7 was installed in November. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior? If not, then I will work with our IT department and see if there is something with the network that would cause this. I think I have the config.pro options set to maintain connections.
I upgraded from trial version to student version and the process completed successfully, with all functions unlocked. About a month later I opened Mathcad again (10.0.1.0) and all functions were locked. I tried to use the PTC option menu and then the get License button. The response was as follows:4/22/2025 2:42:15 PM : The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\license\MathcadLicense.5.dat: (-9) Invalid host.I don't know why all of a sudden the functions were all locked as if in Express mode. The Cleverbridge reference number: 496916359Invoice number: BKD-73652662548Invoice date: 3/16/2025
Hello, I'm trying to get an existing PRT file and assemble it into another assembly. In this assembly I already have a CSYS where I want to mount the PRT. How can I do this using Toolkit? I'm using Creo 8.0.10.
Hi, I'm trying to find out if this workflow is possible with JLink. I need to start Creo, perform an analysis, create a graph, adjust a dimension value, rerun the analysis, and then output a file of the results. I have software that is performing optimizations, and automating this process would be beneficial. Thanks
Hello, I need to make a toolkit that reads the information in an Excel file. I found some libraries in C that does that and I'm trying to use one of them. The one I'm trying to use is LIBXLS (https://github.com/libxls/libxls)This library doesn't give the compiled resources, you have to compile by yourself. After some effort I could compile the library using cygwin (gcc, make, etc...). At the end, I've got the .dll.a and the dll file and all the include files. When I try to use the library in a C program and compile it using gcc, the library works fine. But when I do the same thing to compile the toolkit, it doesn't work.I tryed to use gcc to compile the toolkit, but I couldn't because it depends of some libraries and I'm getting an error when importing the visual studio library libcmt. But the library is not working when I compile the program using the default cl and link from nmake file. What can I do to use the library inside the toolkit?Or there is another option t
