These sketch lines are only displayed when they are clicked on in the feature tree. How can I get them to display in the model so that they can be used as reference geometry?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0In older versions we could set the active model in a multi model drawing and then select a symbol that was all ready placed on the drawing. It would open and close using the active model information to file in custom symbol parameters. This functionality appears to have been lost.
Hi all, does anyone knows why there's 'i' in the results of the last equation?Regards,
Hello, I am currently building a VBA application to automate a few things in my creo daily workflow and unfortunately I am stuck because I am not able to retrieve a model type variable from a componente type feature variable. I am thinking about model descriptors. I can create it but I am struggling trying assign it to the model. The idea is to reach the model by reading the model descriptor present in the correspondent feature variable. thank you in advance!
Whenever I define a range variable and then try to do some matrix operations on it (like finding its length, max/min and transpose...) Mathcad responds with an error saying the operation can all be done on a vector or array. How do I convert my range variable into an array?Version: Mathcad Prime 10
Hi all! Trying to replicate this wave design in Creo (currently using 4.0) but having some issues... Thought the easiest way would be to divide the wave in 4-5 sections and use boundary blend to merge sketches of the waves profile in the sections. (Then thickening the surface to make it a solid.) But the sharpest top of the waves doesn't behave the way I want. I've tried using the "control points" option in the boundary blend tool to control the shape, but I'm far from happy. Before going down the rabbit hole of adjusting the control points until I get something remotely resembling the wave, I thought I'd seek out some help from better users than me to see if this is the way to go or not. Or if it's even possible to make such a design in Creo.TLDR: Trying to replicate this (or similar) wave design. What's the easiest way of doing that? Cheers!Wave inspiration 1Wave inspiration 2Wave sectionsWave boundary blendWave boundary blend with control points
Is there any way to set default unit outputs. I'd like it to read Kip*Ft. I've seen people complain about this issue in the past but cant seem to find a solution. I've attached a portion of the sheet.
I want to be able to import drawings made in other software.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0, 7.0.2.0,At drawing application, when using "Show model Annotations" in order to bring out specific dimensions from the CAD model, for example, a 3D annotation derived from a datum plane (the dimension in question is the offset dimension from a datum plane to another datum plane in order to create it), it's shown correctly on a particular drawing view, but if the datum plane on the drawing view is hiden using layers, the dimension it's also gone, leaving only a suppressed dimension on the drawing tree. If the view is manually updated, the dimension is back, but if using "Draft Update", the dimension is gone again. The dimension it's left in a status of showing but then gone if the drawing is updated. Apparently CREO consider the dimension also a datum plane. Thanks for any advise.
I have schematics design created in Creo schematics 8.0. Some connectors are located on sheet 1 and some are on sheet 2. Wires are connected between this connectors using highway.I have more than 3 sheets in this design and want to export selected components from two sheets in one xml. While exporting this design if i select "Selected", components from active sheet only gets exported although i have selected components from second sheet also.I want components from both sheets in one xml but dont want to use "Export complete design" option. Is their any other way to do that ? Or is it Creo schematics issue ?
The Mac Address in my License Files are all false, none of mine are the same as the ones in the files.I never changed anything about my machine, it's the exact same for 3 years now. Am I missing something? How can I request a correct or new File?
Hi everyone, im working with some assemblies that each of them has been created independently. My question is, can i add several external assemblies to a family table? or i have to create again each and everyone of them from the biggening from a main assembly? Thanks for helping me out. Best regard.
Hi All, When I register 3 different creo toolkit application all together, manubar and pushbutton name appear same for all, (same as per 1st registered application) But when I register each application per each new session, manubar and pushbutton name its correct. Problem starts, when I register 2nd application in same session. Please let me know, how to resolve. Thanks in advance
Hello all, In pattern table the instance values are set using ProElementIntegerSet or ProElement DoubleSet(). But sometimes I want to ignore some Instances in pattern table by adding @ symbol in idx column. How can I set value to @ so that the instance is ignored and read as comment?
We have custom symbols that contain parameters that are associated to the active model when placed.is there a way to change the association with out having to recreate the symbol?
Hey,I want to solve the system in the first file symbolically, so that it leaves p in the answer as a parameter (the phi1(p), phi2(p), etc are unimportant and can be renamed x,y, z). I'm not quite sure how to do that; I googled around a bit and the closest solution I found was in the "Symbolic solving" section of this link: https://www.mathcad.com/en/blogs/solving-systems-equations-mathcadI included the picture from that section which explains well what I need to do - basically, create a vector of equations.I tried to implement this, but I can't figure out how to actually type an equation into a vector. Whenever I try to type an = or := sign, it takes me out of the vector. I tried copy-pasting, too, to no avail. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks)
Hi,On a drawings, Is a straight forward way to change the line style for a selected body to e.g. Phantom transparent?I'm looking for something similar like changing styles via component display on an assembly drawing.
I have been able to create this geometry using patterns but I am trying to determine if Creo has the functionality to implement the geometry creation using the algorithm detailed below. This algorithm is simple and will yield the desired pattern but I am not seeing an automated way to reduce this to practice using Creo patterns. I have determined if a pattern will step out radially while also enabling incrementing of the # of members placed in 360 deg axial pattern it would work. There are additional relations that would need to be defined as a function of the hole sketch to ensure the automation but I am simplifying things here with some assumptions for the purpose of discussion. Does anyone see a way to implement this with one pattern ideally or at the most two? This of course assumes that the geometry is grouped and patterned to make each individual hole. For simplicity one could assume that the pattern would only drop points at the center of each hole on the surface to be cu
In our harness drawings, we have a table per connector with two repeat regions to display the refdes and the pinout info, kind of similar to HMX drawings. Is there a fast way to bring in multiple tables and "model/rep" them to the connectors automatically or something? Currently, we load from file, or copy and paste the number of pinout tables we need, then for each of the two repeat regions, we do a "model/rep" and select the connector. With large harnesses, we spend a LOT of time doing this. Thanks!Creo 9
So I searched for this issue:- Unable to edit sketch of the main featureand found articles pointing to disabling the web browser - and browser tabs. This didn't work. So what is strange is that I edited this same sketch a few hours ago, There are external references to a part within an assembly - but this never stopped me from editing the base sketch. I regenerated - tried removing as many external references from the part - except the base feature which I cannot edit. I tried editing the part/base feature sketch in the context of the assembly - it doesn't work. What happens is I selected sketch and edit - the screen sort of zooms and then nothing. This isn't due to this article:Article - CS352473 - Unable to modify dimension with a Double click in Sketcher when using Chromium as embedded browser in Creo Parametric (ptc.com)Even though I did turn off browser + tabs. Using CREO parametric 10.0.4.0 I saved files - exited and re-entered CREO - still doesn't work. I edited Co
How would I insert our company title block and revision block onto the default page view, or any view for that matter, of a part created in MBD? I'd like to avoid redrawing it as a note on each MBD part, and make the blocks editable as they are now on a regular drawing. Are there any instructions available?Thank you
We are looking for a way to place a table from a file and it's contents on a layer at the time of placement. Can this be done?
Prime 10 attached
Whilst looking at another worksheet in Mathcad Prime 10, I noticed that an as-yet undefined variable in a loop had a value (albeit zero) I can't remember if this was standard behaviour in previous versions of Mathcad or not. However, it certainly caused me some moments of pondering whilst I tried to determine how a variable was initialized in a much longer program (that I was trying to understand in the first place!). Hi, How do I drag dimensions while in edit mode like this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRxBD-B5IrY&t=49s I attached a gif of me trying to drag sketch dimensions. it doesn't matter if dimensions are weak, strong or locked.I'm currently using Creo 8. thanks
