I am on Creo parametric 7.0.10Here is my problem. I am trying to export a clean DXF from a curve inside a part. I need the dxf to have no notes and be at scale 1 for cnc machining. I need to do this for many parts so wanted to automate it or speed it up somehow. To speed up the process of exporting, I created a drawing template with the view "Front" set to scale 1. I then created a mapkey to open the part as a drawing with the template, then save as dxf. My issue is that doing it this way creates a note for the scale of the view "Scale 1.000".I would like to not have this note. I tried removing the set scale of the view in the template and use mapkey to set the drawing scale before exporting, but I was not able to get mapkey to modify the drawing scale.I also was not able to find an option to not have the note show up in the template view. If there is a better way to export DXF files from part files I am also open to changing my method.

Hi, i have a part where i am using copy geometry(external).  I put in the assembly i want to reference, deselect Publish Geometry, and then choose Bodies and select the body i want to reference.  I want to hide the body when i'm all done.  Creo is not hiding the body.  I have created a new layer and hidden the layer but that isn't working either.  See screenshot attached.  The Tubing should be the only piece that is visible. Creo 8.0.10.0Thanks  

Is there a way to create a copy of an existing assembly for a new part number, as well as the drawing, while maintaining the link between the new part number and drawing? I tried to make a copy of each, but when I look at the new drawing, it still references the old assembly.

I would like to know how to bring the Alternative Mass properties from Assemble to Creo Mechanism I'll put an image to simplify. I will provide the context for why this is the case: I have an assembly with several parts that have the standard density, but I know the total weight of the assembly. In config pro I have already requested to calculate the moment of inertia according to the geometry, the image is also attached.

Has anyone utilized Selenium to automate the Windchill interface within the Creo Parametric embedded browser? I recently started experimenting with this concept and it seems promising. FYI: I'm using Python, Selenium, and the Chrome web driver.

As per the original post.    Hi: I have some old mathcad .mcd files. can you help me opening them and convert to mathcad 10. I am using a trial license only?  

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0When using the new Advanced Controls features, performance suffers greatly. This would be expected if I were loading in large amounts of data or perhaps performing complex processing with these regions, but all I'm doing right now is using text boxes to display results with color coding or select which version of text to display from a known list. Literally just display boxes, and yet performance suffers greatly. It was never this bad using essentially the exact same files before adding the advanced controls. M, colleague has even worse issues, where the advanced controls grey-out as if they're still processing, or unable to finish processing, and is unable to get them to cooperate again. Is there some performance issues with the advanced controls? Is there some trick we can use to reduce the performance demands?Has anyone else experienced something like this?-Sean

In a drawing in creo I am creating a notes section, but some of the notes are boxed. When adding a box, the height of the row increases from the text height. This causes horizontal misalignment in the column to the right. How can I add a box without adjusting the row height? Can the height of the box be reduced without adjusting font size? 

While I was working in an assembly it created these, which don’t seem to be referenced by their respective parts or drawings. The CK-02140-2TUBE originally had the same incomplete icon, but there was an option I tried for “add placeholder” which didn’t end up helping. Trying to remove them from the workspace gives the error: A referential integrity violation occurred for this operation:Object "CAD Document Reference Link - wt.epm.structure.EPMReferenceLink:64348686"references the object "wt.epm.EPMDocumentMaster:64348628" that was removed from the system. But I don't really know how to proceed with fixing this, or what to do with the EPM reference/master errors. The ghost files are preventing me from checking in drawings, and they don't seem to appear as dependencies in the reference viewer, unless I'm missing something. Any advice?

As a thought experiment, what would the ultimate Creo Parametric machine look like? I don't mean what would be a good, optimized, practical laptop or desktop PC. I mean what no compromise, unlimited budget, high-end workstation would crush anything Creo Parametric could do? In the list below, I'm basically just picking the fastest things I know about, but are there any actual numbers out there? Would a sufficiently high end Xeon or Threadripper surpass the 14th gen i9? Would a 4090 overtake the A6000 despite being a "productivity" workload? I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.4.0We use multiple harnesses with the same connectors and pinout, only the lenght and routing of the harness assembly is different.So we have a harness assembly with corresponding cable part template that we can copy instead of doing the pinout every time manually by hand. From connector A to connector B and the cable part from A to B with correct pinout.However, when saving the harness assemlby as a copy and the cable part within it as a copy with a new name, the pinout from Connector A to connector B breaks. Resulting in doing the pinout every time.

Hello gurus I am trying to create a Cap in sheetmetal because the process resembles the making of a milk carton.We start with a flat paper cloth, fold in half, bend the ends together into Seam SSn-1 and stich it, the upper end (see closed fold image) is stitched and the upper section is folded into a triangle frame shape.  I am stuck creating the triangle frame using boundary blend and cant match the geometry inside the cap,    Makes me wonder if I there is a better way to model it in sheetmetal.  At the end, i would flatten but not all features flatten either.If anyone has modeled a milk carton or similar, it would certainly help thanks    

Hi,  I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.4  I've created a hole table in my creo drawing and I want to modify the parameters in the hole table. For example, in the picture, the fourth column is the description of the hole and it currently reads 'M5x.8 ISO' instead of this I want it to read 'M5 x.8 Tap THRU'  Any ideas on how I can make this change. 

Hi,   I have used  "ProAnnotationplaneForcetoplaneflagSet()" and "ProDimensionPlaneSet()" to move an annotation to selected plane. But annotation "View Direction" and "Angle" are not the same, the resultant is rotated. Can you help me to set "ViewDirection" and "Angle" to original "ViewDirection" and "Angle"?   Thanks in advance   Regards, NK

I'm curious how other companies are deploying company standard model tree configurations with versions 6+ of Creo Parametric. These later versions no longer 'support' the old .cfg files (per CS315189). I don't believe there is an equivalent configuration option to deploy .ui files similar to the old mdl_tree_cfg_file configuration option. We are continuing (for now) to utilize mdl_tree_cfg_file but, since it is no longer supported, we want to move away from that older setting. I'm just looking for advice on how others are doing this (if you deploy model tree settings at all). Thanks!

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.9.0I am creating .MTL files to represent materials in Creo. I have noticed that certain special characters get transformed by Creo into other text strings. For example, “ turns into “ What encoding is used by Creo MTL files (is it some variant of ISO-8859?). I don't think it is ISO-8859-1 (Latin alphabet 1), because the resulting characters include glyphs that are not in that encoding (ex: €).Here are the errors that I facedNone

Today, when I tried to open mathcad, nothing happens, not even the splash screen shows up. When I open task manager, I can see that the mathcad process starts for a few seconds and then it's gone. Already tried searching the community for similar cases but I didn't find anything that works. Please help me! I'm just getting in love with the productivity enhancement I get from mathcad! Further info: no error messages appear, doesn't work when I try to run as admin, or when I restart my pc

Hi guys, hope you all are doing well . Need guidance. Whenever I enter text in creo .sec file, the triangle border appears and I cannot remove it. And it shows even if I export that file into another format. Please guide me how to remove it. I am using creo 10.

Why would I not get the "delete pattern" option for a pattern?  It's an axis pattern. I checked placement, it's good. Nothing related to the pattern or the component placement is failing. I happen to have 4 patterns of the same components and none of them are offering a delete pattern option. Alternatively, the next 4 different components are all pattern (axis pattern also) and they all offer the delete pattern option. 2 images below, first on is the pattern RMB with no delete pattern option 2nd image shows another component with a delete pattern option.   (I had to cover some of the filenames due to I cannot expose my customer name) There are some random model errors. I don't have control over all the models, so sometimes I have to live with errors      

Offset line broken after replacing the component , unable to redefine this feature in Creo Parametric 7.0 .Is there any option to redefine offset lines?

I have a assembly drawing of two almost identical  parts (made separately) shown by simplified representation. Horizontal and circular edges of only one of the parts are not getting selected for dimensioning.PTC Creo Elements/Pro 5.0Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.

Hello I am trying tonimport relation into Creo using toolkit C++ from a txt file stored in my PC. I am using function ProInputFileRead(). Syntax : ProMdl model;ProPath filename;ProAppData arg1 = NULL;ProAppData arg1 = NULL;int arg3_value = 0;ProAppData arg3 = &arg3_value;ProAppData arg4= NULL; ProStringToWstring (filename, "C:\\filepath"); ProInputFileRead (model,filename, PRO_RELATION_FILE, arg1, arg2, arg3, arg4); ProSolidRegenerate((ProSolid)model, PRO_REGEN_NO_FLAGS);  Can anyone suggest is something wrong with this? As I am unable to achieve importing. Txt and assigning relations to model.

I am using Creo version 7. My system decimal places are 5. My drawing decimal places need to be 3.   Is there a way to set the default drawing decimal places to 3? Presently I need to place all of my dimensions and then when they are placed I need to select each dimension to change them from 5 to 3 decimal places.  I keep thinking that there should be a way to modify the default drawing decimal places whether it be on the drawing template or in the config options but I just never found this.  Just to be clear I need the system decimal places to be 5 as there is a large positional difference on curvature within a given sketch unless the decimal places are increased to preserve the needed position.

Gentlemen, please don't take this as impudence, but could you tell me how to make sure that the paths don't cross?
