Greetings,I am currently focused on designing and optimizing a pipe connector that transitions from a diameter of 100mm to 125mm. This project involves utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and BMX studies to refine the design parameters. I am using Creo 11.I have noticed that most tutorials define an inlet and an outlet, with the inlet specifying parameters such as pressure, volumetric flux, or pressure inlet, and particles being released that move through the part, which is logical. InletAt the outlet, it is often defined as a specified pressure outlet, and no particles are released there. My question is: how do I determine when to release particles or not? Additionally, sometimes the outlet pressure is set to 0 Pa, while other times it is set to the normal atmospheric pressure of 101325 Pa. How do I know which pressure to use? OutledBest regards,Spy
Hello. I created a range variable "y" with units (see attached file). Then I try to calculate parameter "H". Mathcad says that "This value must be scalar or a vector". I think it is strange that the calculation fails. What do I do wrong here? Sergey
how to add working directory in format.working directory file path need to appear in drawing sheet after calling sheet format
Just got bumped up to Creo 11 and needed to work with someone else's files from 10.Try to open the top level assembly, immediate crash to desktop in 11.Try to open the drawing for that assembly. Also immediate crash.Open the files in 10 from the old computer (which is in a dungeon) and I see that some parts are getting flagged as unstable.I track down and remodel those parts and the file still crashes in 11.I check the log file and the last part before the crash is a big circuit board. The circuit board model opens but it's an import of an incredibly detailed model. My computer, which is a little old now but extremely beefy, stuggles opening it. There's individual circuit traces and individual part labels as solid models on the board. There are tiny resistors that imported as five bodies. There are also a bunch of vertex errors on the tiny text and some of the parts. I go into Import data doctor and delete a few thousand bodies and surfaces, the board
Hello team, I want to rearrange the dimension text symbol by default.
Hello all, creo Piping module is not look simple as legacy pipe feature. Is there any way to create pipe feature (legacy) in creo toolkit as shown below. Thanks.
Hi,the green object has two constraint sets (1 and 2). I want that the pattern of the green object (1 green + 2 red), follow the first object (green) in his new set constraints (constraint set 2): what is the procedure to obtain this? Best regards
I cannot find any language option in the menu. Anybody had this problem?
I would be very glad if some expert could tell me how to change language in mathcad Prime 3.1? Should I reinstall it?Thank youFM
I can't export my results to excel file when the results contains more than one matrics .I am generating excel files for some results using the function(WRITEXCEL). When the matrics is vector which means has only one colunm it easily export it to excel file. However, when the results has more than one colunm like shown below it doesn't work. this error is on page 33. how can I solve that? It shows error
We have a customer who requires 3D models:Objective: Get native S3D objects. The Contactor could send the SEED to a Vendor/Supplier to generate the package model. This model could be copied in S3D Contractor production plant. Does Creo have the capability?
I have wf4.0 floating license, but lost the installation file, who could tell me where can I download or get it from PTC offical portal or link ? thanks
Hi guys, I'm having issues with embedded Excel files. After opening a Mathcad Prime 10 file with an embedded Excel file (from which I'm reading in data for calculation) MC suggests that I might be editing the Excel file and thus the calculation can't continue; see screen shot. Has anybody experienced the same issue and (hopefully!) a solution to the problem? Some more information: Win 11, 64 Bit machine. MathCad Prime 10 Checked Task Manager for background Excel files running - none. I've deleted the Excel file and "re-embedded" a new one - same issue. New Mathcad file with new embedded Excel file - same result.
Hi there,is there anyone, who managed to run Creo Parametric on a Linux machine? I was able to start the installation in "wine", but it always has problems installing the "Platform Agent".
At my uni, MathCAD was recommended to our class by a professor and I saw online that there are 2 programs available, one is MathCad Prime and other is MathCad. Which one should I choose if I want to use it for math, physics and mechanics? Some collegues used in the past MathCad 15 and told me this one is good, others says that MathCad Prime 4,5 or 7 is good. Is one from these 2 better than the other? Are there updated versions for the ones mentioned above?
Good afternoon. I'm YJ from South Korea. I'm a user of MC prime 10. Recently I'm solving 2D Reynolds equation in polar coordinate with FDM. I've obtained a p(r,theta) in 11 x 11 matrix. Now I'd like to plot it in 3D cylidrical coordinate. I wonder how to do it. I need tutorials or examples to get familiar with ploting in polar coordinate or cylindraical coordinate. Help help me out of here! I always appreciate your help.
Greetings Community, I have a problem with the steel distribution on the right side of the beam. Please, if anyone can help me. I found the drawing setting for the default font size for new views however, I can't find any options to change the font style for only view names. Our views are like shown below where the view name is larger and bold and was hoping to find a setting to have this be automatic. Section A-A We're using CREO 7 currently
When I run the weblink example, pfcSelectionExamples.html, it works mostly fine, but the model name always comes up as undefined. Not matter what I do with my own code that I've made, I can't seem to get it working either.Does anyone else have this issue? Is it because my files are from windchill, and not stored locally?I know this is the third weblink post I've made lately, but information on the topic is sparse to say the least, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks! This is creo 9.0.3.0
Some of our harnesses in the real world are coming out longer than the dimensioned drawing shows when bundled.I measured in Creo. If I measure the lengths of the individual segments, I get 350mm. If i measure the overal wire, I get 379. That's over an inch of difference.Any help would be appreciated on how to alleviate this.Creo 9.0.3
Are there any file format rules about "Save as PDF or "Print to PDF? I generate 30 page workshheets with a few plots with many line styles and trace colors.Very often the PDF conversion process ignores some colors and changes line styles.Text and graphics are well spaced. This has become an on and off case-file for some time and I am working with a PTC help agent in India. On one occasion I removed all text and plots were perfect! We have no ideas about the problem.Files will not be shared online: Patent submission.
Hello, I use 3D annotation to dimension my assembly. The dimensions are organized in annotation features and with combination views. The models of a combination view are also restricted by simplified reps. The 3D model dimensions are shown on the drawing. There are different views corresponding to the simplified reps. To avoid a cluttering view when opening the 3D model, the annotations are removed from the default all combination state. When I activate another combination view (also another simplified rep) the shown model annotations, like dimensions and geometrical tolerance, disappear from the view. The tree icon is greyed out and with at black square overlay. I can get the dimensions back when I add all the model annotation to the default view. But as mentioned this is not what I would like, because it clutters the view when opening the 3D model. There are some SPR's related to this: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS11232
I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.2.0 I would like to confirm the setting of SS400_mmns.mat in the default "Material Directory" When I open the material definition of SS400, the Young's modulus is set to "216001MPa". Generally, the Young's modulus of SS400 is often written as "205000-206000MPa", but if it is set to "216001MPa", it is thought that there will be some difference in the deflection of the analysis results. Is there any reason for the setting value of "216001MPa" above? Also, could you please provide me with any reference material that shows the Young's modulus as "216001MPa"? ---------------------------------------------------- Translated text from Japanese to English using google translate Subject - 「材料ディレクトリ」(Material Directory) 内にある SS400_mmns.matの設定について Body - I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.2.0 デフォルトの「材料ディレクトリ」(Material Directory) 内にある SS400_mmns.matの設定について確認したいのですが
