Hello everyone, I cannot for the life of me find a way to use custom symbols I created. I created a symbol using "define symbol", but when I go to use it in "symbol", it is not there. At my last company, I was able to select "custom symbol", but it's not giving me that option here. Thank you in advance.
Hi! I'm Johannes, and I'm currently writing my master's thesis on a Creo Parametric project that I developed during an internship at a company with a commercial license in Creo. Now that I have finished the internship and am no longer employed by the company, I still need access to my Creo files for screenshots and dimensions from the assembly. I downloaded the student version of Creo 9 but cannot open the files I created with the commercial licence. Is there any way or workaround to open the commercial files with the student version? Or is there an affordable licence for about 1 or 2 weeks to upgrade my student licence, allowing me to open the CAD files created with the commercial licence? I hope someone can help me! Kind regards Johannes
Hi,I am trying to solve a cubic equation, but I am unsure where I am going wrong. Please guide me. I manually calculated the values as follows:x1= 1231.629mm, x2=121.978mm, x3=-153.60mmThe Mathcad file is attached : Mathcad Prime09I tried two different method but not sure where I'm doing mistake
We can manually control whether a parameter is designated in the parameter interface. I want to know if we can control whether a parameter is designated or not through another parameter. Like, When Control_parameter==YES, Parameter A is designated. When Control_parameter==NO, Parameter A is not designated.
The "branch" command does not allow me to select the line to connect the tubes, what could be happening? (view in My Videos)
How to construct ProIDTable for the assembly component I got throgh ProSolidFeatVisit api. Need assembly component path for the collected part file. ProIDTable id_table = {Array[0].id} works for the part file collected from the top level. If the required part file present inside a subassembly, this logic fails. Tried getting asm comppath typecasting ProFeature* Array to Proselection as below, didn't work. ProSelectionAsmcomppathGet((ProSelection)&Array[0], &compPath). Any ideas please?
I’m having an issue with trying to get a User defined parameter PIPE_DESCRIPTION from the linestock to the piping start part parameter DESCRIPTION.This is so when creating a pipe solid, each pipe part will have the PIPE_DESCRIPTION parameter value added to the DESCRIPTION parameter. Then I can bring this into my table BOM, along with all the other fittings and parts which have the same parameter. Is this possible or is there another way?I'm using Creo Parametric 10.0.4.0
Where is the ProRasterFileWrite API.Why can't I find it?I want to take screenshot for graphics area in Creo Parametric through toolkit.
In Creo 6.0, I am trying to create a simulation file that uses the family table to bring in the desired instance. The simulation setups (constraints, forces) fail when switching instances. I believe this is because when selecting surface regions, simulate cannot reference the feature as the part files usually do in the family table. Simulate loses the surface region reference because it is trying to access the specific feature from the specific instance where the simulation setup is created. Is there a way around this, or is this possible in newer versions of creo?
Hi, I have to import a CAD file from ALTIUM software. The CAD file is an electronic board exported by the software ALTIUM in a 25 MB .step (or 20 MB .x_t).ALTIUM can export the files format in the picture below. When I import this two types of files, they opens in a long time. How can I reduce the time of uploading of that types of CAD models? Best regards, Michele Barile
I'm a mathcad prime 10 user. I'm writing a worksheet for a study material and design check. In manual, its calculated value is a little bit different from the equation above. I wonder how accurate with what significant figures the mathCAD prime 10 does calculation even in every single term in the equation. Plus, how can I get the more accurate result with very accurate single term in the equation?
I'm a mathcad prime 10 user. How can I get results in a column vector Q with respect to each coefficient Ai and Bi? I need to have Q1 with respect to A1, B1 and Q2 with respect to A3, B3? It doesn't really work out in method 1 and 2. The correct result should be the value in method 3 when considering Q1 only.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0Error message: "Customizing parts is not available in the standard version. Please contact your account manager to upgrade." when trying to add a fastner to an assembly. This was available for us in Creo 10.
Our requirement on the shield port/drain wire is assigned to multiconductor cable. Both sides of the cable is connected but the shield port/drain wire is terminated (connected) at one end of connector and unterminated (not connected/open) at the other end of connector. Once the unterminated shield wire is defined in schematics, it needs to be exported into XML and use it parametrically in the harness drawing without doing any additional manual work in the Creo cabling. What is the best possible solution to have a shield port/drain wire as Unterminated. We use CS 7.0 and there is a document available in PTC website. But the info is not sufficient for us to define and use the shield port/drain wire as Unterminated parametrically. Any additional information or videos can really help the users to understand better.
Working in Creo 10 I have a note on a drawing that I need to call out a combined surface area for two separate areas on the part. With single surface areas I like to drive the note parametrically by creating a measure feature in the model and referencing it in the drawing note with "&AREA:FID_XXXXXX[.1].Which ends up with this, which is what I want. However, to have both surface areas in one note I have to add them manually and input them as text, non-parametric. I've been trying various takes on this: "&area:fid_xxxxx1+xxxxx2" with no luck. Does anyone know how to combine both values into one parametric note?
Hello Support, after installing Creo Schematics 9.0, when starting and closing the Creo Schematics application, our EDR software detects the .bat script that Creo wants to run every time. Each time it is a random name, for example "bg-hpul3.bat".The file has a different name and SHA each time. The only common point is the file location, for example "'c:\users\username\appdata\local\temp\bg-hpul3.bat".1. Do you know what the following script calls?2. Is this script responsible for some Creo Schematics functionality?
Is there a way to ressign the values to a variable in mathcad programming? For example Es is 2.175 and Ec is 3.5 in a loop. Ec is fixed here and iterate Es until MEd is almost equal to MRd. If it doesn't happen then change the values of Es to 25 which is fixed and Ec iterated from 0 to 3.5 until MEd is almost equal to MRd. How to write a Mathcad program without repeating the steps.
Hello, Does anyone know if Creo 8 or 11 will display higher than 1080p. We are getting new offices and are trying to decide on new monitors. Does anyone know if 1440p is worth it from experience when you mainly use Creo? Thanks in advance, Lex
Hello, When you buy a Creo Licence, they add a creo "home use" licence. If i install this licence on my personal computer, can I make commercial use of it ? But without any link with my employer who purchases the initial Creo license for my work. Concrete example :- I work in a design office of a private company with a Creo license. So i have a "home use" license in addition. On my personal time, the week-end for exemple, on my personal computer (no connection with my employer). Is it possible to design parts, print it in 3D and sell it with self-employed or independent status ? Thanks in advance.
I have the huge assembly. One of the drawing view have local section. The option "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" - set as "trim". In this case the section is shown correctly, but some cables are not visible or partially visible. When I change option "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" to "total", then all cables become visible, but section looks strange. Please see attached picture: there are shown displaying with different settings. Maybe somebody knows the secret trick how to make all thick cables visible and at the same time so that the local section is displayed correctly?I use Creo 9.
Hello everyone,I am encountering an issue with importing JT files into Creo Parametric 7.0.12.0 (also tested in Creo 11) that specifically affects parts. During the import process, hyphens ("-") in part names are automatically replaced with underscores ("_"). Interestingly, this behavior does not occur with assemblies and sub-assemblies, where hyphens are retained (please see attached images). Is there a way to disable or modify this behavior so that hyphens in part names are preserved? Perhaps a hidden option in the configuration files (config.pro) or any other solution that someone might know?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance!Kurt
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0Can't active “Section” from view manager
I generated a percentage range from 0 to 100% with a step of 5 percent. Since Mathcad did not want to concatenate two matrices generated this way using the augment function, I created a manually entered matrix. Here, a problem arose because the percentage range entered by different methods yields different results in calculations. What mechanism is behind this?
So I was working really hard to be lazy and asked google gemini to make a formula for mathcad. It spit out some results, surprisingly, but it didn't work when I tried to paste it into mathcad prime 9.000. It showed some notation that I have never seen before and couldn't find any documentation saying that mathcad can even use it. See my picture attached. Anyone know how to use this "!" feature? Secondly I asked Gemini how to use its output and it said just copy and paste into mathcad, that didn't work, just pasted as a block of text, am I doing that wrong too? Any help is appreciated, or other better experiences using AGI?
Hi,I have been updating a Mathcad sheet and noticed that there are slight discrepancies in the results on the order of 1e-6. I tracked the source of this error and I got to this integral (shown below). There are two things I do not understand:1.- Function A and B are the same but for some reason B throws an error "this value must be an integer".2.- The integral should be equal to 1 when the upper limit is approx higher than 5. But for some reason the solution jumps from 1 to 5e-4 when the upper limit goes from 1.011e4 to 1.013e4, which is wrong. It should be 1. I am using Prime 8.0 Regards,
