Hi, For some application that I am working on, I will save you the details, I would like to know what the exact mathematical motion law is behind the 'monotonic' option in mechanism. I prefer the table option in a servo motor, for creating complex movements. If so, there are three options to connect the points in the table: linear, spline and monotonic. Dynamic analysis cannot work with linear, which is quite understandable. Spline motions result to non minimum phase behavior (first move in the wrong direction before going in the right direction), so that is not usable either. Monotonic does a nice job, but I would like to compare the movement (displacement, speed and accelleration) with a physical servo motor movement (which has probably a 3-4-5 polynomen motion profile built in, but I have to check that as well). To be short: who can tell me the mathematical motion law (formula's) behind the monotonic option in mechanism. Best regards,Laurens
Hello I'm creating this post following the switch from CREO 8 to CREO 10.I make a lot of use of the offset/projection and segment uncut functions in the sketches I create, except that with the new tool this is totally broken. Here's an image to illustrate my problem : I want to remove the corner and keep the two straight lines. I was able to browse other topics where the subject of the new tool is discussed but no solution seems to have been given.Do you have any information on the subject? Would it be possible to have an option to go back to the old tool or to make it differently ? Is it possible to no longer consider the projection/offset as a loop? Thanks and have a nice day, Leo
I'm trying to create a mapkey that renames my features with an identifier from it's own dimension. For exampleRound 1, which has a radius of 5mm gets names to "R5"Hole 1 with a diameter of 10 gets renamed to "ø10"M6 hole gets renamed to "M6" Because of Creo, every featurename has to be unique even though it has a unique feature ID. So to do that I would like to add the feature ID or feature number (Any unique identifier for that specific feature) behind the name.So Round 1 with feature ID 3864 becomes "R5 (id3864)". Even better would be to make the text invisible using invisible characters but that might be too much to ask. So far I've tried everything but I can't find a way to let the mapkey copy the value of the feature or anything from the feature information window. Rounds don't even have parameters I could try to use. Things to note: We don't have OTK or Jlink and we don't use Round Sets for unrelated reasons, so the Round feature always has the same feature informat
Hi Everyone, I have a project Industrial conveyor, but i bit confused about the mechanism.... I want to create a moving object on the Belt but i am still the same issues, the moving part is not going anywhere but the belt mechanism is active. can u guys help me to solve this problem (The goal is the belt and moving object will move together). Should i use the 3D contacts and gravity?? (If yes, can u show me the tips)
Why can't I get a 30-day trial? The previous owner used up his test period. I am a new owner of a laptop and by entering new data I cannot obtain a new trial period on this laptop. What to do? Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dlaczego nie mogę uzyskać 30dniowego okresu próbnego? Poprzedni właściciel wykorzystał swój okres testowy. Jestem nowym właścicielem laptopa i wpisując nowe dane nie mogę uzyskać na tym laptopie nowego okresu próbnego. Co zrobić?
I have Creo View 9.1. Is it possible to customize keyboard shortcuts in this program? I see the option in Creo 10 to do this, but not in Creo View.
Hi - I'm a very fresh newbie so hopefully an easy question... I have generated some 2D geometry and want to export it to IGES (or STEP).When I go to File/Save I do not see the IGES or STEP option under file type - any ideas? An associated issue perhaps - the 2D geometry sits on the active workplane do these need to belong to a Part for export, and if so how? I'm using Direct Modelling Express 8.0 thanks
Good afternoon,I'm sure someone on here can assist, we are fairly new to using Mathcad and we are struggling to get the lambda formula in the below snip into a Mathcad sheet, it throws up a number of errors and we aren't sure what numbers we should be adding where. If anyone can assist, we would be very grateful.CheersSimon
I created two layers using the sketch name as a search rule. They are *ORI* & *EC* two layers respectively. The model tree has the ORI_SKETCH Feature and the drawing has an Original Design view using the isolate 00001_FOR_PTC_CASE_ORI layer setting. When the ORI_SKETCH feature name is changed to EC_SKETCH and the 00001_FOR_PTC_CASE_ORI & 00001_FOR_PTC_CASE_EC layers are updatedFinally the "Design Changes" view and the "Original Design" view are not updated. I have to reset the layer isolate before it updates.
I have an already filled in Excel sheet with parameters and variables that I use in a Mathcad calculation. I could copy 'n paste the content to an embedded Excel component, but I'd like to avoid such menial task. Has anybody figured out whether and how to insert an Excel component that has content?
Is there a way to port over Creo Options over to Creo+ Options for all the setting?

Hello guys,I need some help.I am trying to solve the following problema. But it seems I'm stuck on the binary variable and this causes errors in the constraints. Can anyone help me out of this jam?CarlosRomero
If we assembly a series of pipes at the assembly level, what is the best way to copy them to a different top-level assembly without creating a sub-assembly of the pipes? Does cut and paste work for the 'transfer' of the piping to the second assembly? We are using Creo 9.0.7 and Windchill 12.0.2.
Hello, When a Model Checker provides Markup in Creo view for a MBD CAD model in an specific combination state (View State) then the markup is displayed in all the other combinations states (View states), This is creating lot of confusion while reviewing the model and unnecessary markups getting displayed in other combinations states (View states). Is there a workaround which will allow the mark ups to hide when we switch from one combinations state (View states) to other.
Is there a way share or transfer my map keys to another user? We both use the same version of Creo, but on separate machines. Any instructions available or point me in the right direction?Thank you.
I'm using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode 7.0.9.0Hello I inserted an image into a part and then integrated that part into the assembly. Now I would like to install the same part into the assembly again. Now the following happens, it no longer shows me the image, even though it is present in the part. The image still displays with the first part installed, but no longer with the second. The images cannot be seen in the drawing at all, why is that? Can you change that? Thanks and best regards
“Farmbot will be the best farmer for any crop and any location at any time of year” Welcome to the world of Farmbot where technology meets agriculture. In Mathcad 4.0 it is not possible to show date in ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD), e.g. in the page header. As this is the format we are using in our office, I'd like to add that as a choice.
Hi there, while waiting for a complex part to regenerate, I 've got some time to write this text. In January 2006 Intel introduced its "Core Duo". I think this was the first (consumer) processor with more than one core per socket. The multi-core race of the last years gave us cpus with core counts up to 64 cores (e.g. AMD Threadripper). In the meantime (about 16 years) PTC decided to keep its flag ship CAD - Software single threaded. My request for Creo is to get finally some benefit of multi-core cpus. Until then, I watch Creo being stuck at about 6% CPU utilization on my 16 Core machine.
To all,I have been using Creepage and Clearance analysis in Creo8 for several weeks now, and have found it helpful in finding areas I might have missed. In looking at the results onscreen, is there a way to enhance the thickness of the line that shows the violation, so it is more visible? See image below for what I am seeing.Thank you.Dennis Rehmer
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.3.0I've been trying to give myself access to the ModelCHECK config_init.mc ( in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 10.0.3.0\Common Files\modchk\text\usascii\config). I am the sole user and a system administrator on the the machine. I already altered config_init.mc to use the "external_access.txt" file on the line:# Use the external file for authorization to use Configurator ToolMC_AUTHORIZATION_FILE YN Yand my external_access.txt file is:# ModelCHECK authorization file########################User List#################*#####LIST_ADMINISTRATOR administratorLIST_ADMINISTRATOR dee########################User List#######################LIST_USERand yet I still can't edit the config file from inside Creo. (My Windows username is Dee). Any suggestions?
In big assembly model Centre of gravity position is coming wrong by usingCogxCogyCogz value in relation. Is there any other way of finding cg position of assembly model.
We also discussed this topic during last RSD Tech community meeting, We need connector MATE TO information from the Creo schematics. This will help us on wire tracing during troubleshooting purpose. Please see attached doc for more detail. Appreciated if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks
We have a number of Advance Pro licenses and a couple of Premium Pro licenses. How should the DESC line of parametric.psf look to use a PrmP license?
