I don´t know how or from where I can download creo direct for student. I tried download creo 10.0 because I believe I could choose creo direct version in installation phase, but only parametric version is available.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0Have now installed Paramatric 10.0.1.0 on 3 workstations and the program opens to the Splash screen briefly but then crashes on each one - all 3 machines have the exact same issue. Nothing in the Windows Event Logs to suggest what the problem might be. Can you help me with this ASAP please?
I've got a 15 page document in Mathcad Prime 1.0. Items are strategically placed on the pages for readability and page breaks. However, when I save, close, and reload the file, my math and text regions seem to have all moved around; creating overlapping text regions and regions that flow over the page breaks.Anyone else seen this problem or have a tip on how to anchor these regions to the page between file opens?
Hello - Please let me know if it is possible to install Mathcad Prime 7 and Prime 9 on the same machine. Is there any technical limitation / restriction imposed by the PTC installer ? RegardsVijay
I am using Creo 9.0 and the Welding Application. I have an assembly which I have put solid fillet welds into, and I utilize the automatically generated weld symbol annotation elements to put the weld symbols on the assembly drawing. For solid welds, it appears that the leader of the weld symbol defaults to attaching to one of the edges on either end of the diagonal of the weld solid. In the model,I am able to click on the weld symbol and edit the leader attachment to be on the edge that follows the root of the weld. This is so that when it appears in the drawing, the leader can point to the middle of a weld rather than one of the ends. i.e.:This would not be a problem except that when I edit the order or add fillet weld features between the others (some of the weld features become suppressed through the Insert Here functionality), the attachment is reset to the default on the edge.Is there a way to somehow set the default attachment of the leader to be on the root edge rather than on an
Is it possible to copy part of one worksheet to clipboard and paste it in another worksheet?Seems to me it is not possible to do it like it's done for example in AutoCAD.
HelloIn our Creo (Creo Parametrics 8.0) 3D environment, the text size of surface symbol cannot be changed. If I open the text style menu for the surface symbol, the value is set by 13.000272.Now I can insert a new value, force Apply or OK, but the size does not change. If I open afterwards again the text style menu, the 13.000272 is back again in the cell.Does any body have a hint how to change it after creation of the symbol? The surface symbol is applied by the use of the Annotation, Surface Finish feature. Here I find as well this value for the Height 13.000272. Thank you in advance for inputs.PB
Hi everyone On the way of defining our method for MBD, I'm adjusting our model properties file. Now I'm looking for a way to make the text_thickness depending on the text_height and on the type of thickness as Bold.So far I can drive the text_thickness by a fixed value, but this is not what I prefer. In a zoomed in situation in 3D model even a small value might be too fat, and the thickness cannot be adjusted for every zooming view separately.I'm looking for something which works as the thickness type "Bold" or "not Bold" and which stays in relation to the text_height.Does anybody have a hint? Thank's for help!
Hello experts, I hope the question is in the right category. I haven't been able to find an answer in the community yet. A function should be passed as an element in a program [e.g. p(f):=II…]. This function can have a different number of its own elements [e.g. f(x1, x2, …)]. How can I pass the function to the program and how can I find out within the program how many elements the function has? Thanks for your help. SW: PTC Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0
Can I use Qt to customizate Creo parametric UI, or can I use some outside pragrams to invoke toolkit api to controll creo (spawn is too slow).I don't think it is a good idea to use MFC dialog in today's developing. It's a bit outdated and hard to build complex page or platform. Can I create a simple embedded http server in Creo, maybe I can send http request to remote control? Hope your suggestion.
Hello guys. I'm sorry to ask such a dumb question, but I'm absolutely stumped on it. And it's REALLY dumb. The attached model is a simple revolve of a 25 mm wide tire profile with a 700 mm radius out to the rim. (Yes, it's not realistic, but this problem happens even if I reduce the radius to 400 or 50 or whatever.) The revolve feature ends up all chunky, instead of smooth. If I reduce the radius to 50 mm, the inside of the feature ends up all chunky instead. I have changed the model accuracy both up and down and nothing ever changes. Thank you for advice on how to get back to the regular, smooth revolves that I know and love. Edited to add:OK, I think I see what's happening. Tourus-shaped revolves have this, but cylinder shaped ones do not. With this sketch: I get this revolve, showing both the nice smooth edges I was expected, and the blocky edge (on the torus in the middle).
I am designing a linkage system and want to investigate its force output while some of its parts geometry vary, e.g. lengths, angles etc.I seek to optimize the mechanism over its entire range of motion. After I run a Motion Analysis in the Analysis tab, based on an existing Mechanism Analysis performed in a step before, I choose to create, as output, new Series Parameters for some of the parameters I am investigating. But I cannot find a way where I can use these newly created Motion Analysis Series Parameters in the Sensitivity, Feasibility or Multi-Objective Optimization. Although I do see the series parameters in the stored Parameters within the resulting Analysis feature. Within these tools all parameters I see are from MDO and are discrete ones, like min_parameter or max_parameter, and this does not help in my case. Is it possible to optimize an entire series parameter within Creo Behavior (like an arbitrary polynomial curve function linear or quadratic whatever e.g. y(x)=
I have installed creo distributed batch and tried to convert my creo part files to STEP format, but after the 10th part file conversion to STEP the process becomes very very slow. Also the pc runs slowly while the distributed batch is running in the background. Can anyone help me know what is the issue here? I am using windows 7 and 6gb ram pc. Also i have been using the standalone mode.

Hello, is it possible to measure the lever force over time in Mechnism dynamics?I have a simple lever mounted in the middle. On one side it is moved with a hydraulic cylinder.I know the displacement and the force in the cylinder. I would like to define these parameters. The vertical force that acts on the other side of the lever, I would like to show over the cylinder length or the time. Is this possible? Unfortunately I did not find anything in the help. GreetingsMorian
When exporting a Creo 8 drawing to DXF format, the DXF preview shows random text superimposed over dimension text. This extra text carries over to the DXF file. Attached is a screenshot of the DXF file in AutoCAD 2022. {ftxt is not supposed to be there. Is this a bug with Creo 8 or is there a way to fix this? Configuring Creo 8.0.8.0 along with IPEM 13.0.3. I'm using a mapped network drive (eg Y:\start_models) to store our start files for all users to access. The line is set properly in the config.pro file & when I launch IPEM/Creo the logs say it read the config.pro, but when I start a new file I'm still getting the default OOTB start files in the File New dialog.Anyone else experienced that? Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0When I merge two quilts together it is difficult to distinguish the surfaces and which parts will be cut and which parts will be left. There used to be a config option in proengineer that helped with the preview of the merged surfaces in that it showed exactly what was going to be cut away and what was left.Does any body know how to do this in version 9.0?
Hi All, We added some leader notes in a drawing that we were working on. When we open the drawing in the CREO Parametric instance we worked on, they are oriented to the right. If we open it on another users CREO Parametric instance, they are oriented to the left. If there a CREO Parametric Setting that affects this or can cause this behaviour?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.4.0Hello, I am having issues creating a bundle of wires. I have created the spools, designated the connectors, and successfully connected the connectors using wires, and I am able to create a bundle around a single wire. However, when I attempt to add wires to the bundle, I get an error message stating that it cannot be added to the bundle. I have reviewed all of the provided documentation on bundles, and the potential cause of this issue is not outlined. Can someone please help me identify any steps that I am missing in this process? Here are the errors that I facedCable can not be added to bundle.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0I am trying to unpattern a patterned group and make all the features independent of each other but I can only find "make independent under the model, operations, ATB menu which doesn't seem to work. Can you please help.I have had a look at the rules for patterning groups in the fo;;owing website but it doesn't seem to help much.https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/usascii/index.html#page/part_modeling/part_modeling/Rules_for_Patterning_Groups.htmlAlso had a look at CS131620 - see website below but it doesn't seem to apply to release 9.0https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs131620?language=en&posno=1&q=unpattern%20and%20make%20indep&source=search&_gl=1*lb9m8o*_ga*MTk4NjQyMTY4OC4xNjkxNjk2NDI5*_ga_CBN5QVB9VJ*MTY5NzQ0Mjk0MS4xNC4xLjE2OTc0NDI5NTkuMC4wLjA.*_ga_1QBT6P6HR1*MTY5NzQ0Mjc4NC4zMi4xLjE2OTc0NDI5NTkuNDIuMC4w
Hi,I would like to add a PDF which comprises several combined pages to a PVZ file in order to be able to view them in Creo View not as separate files but as a set of pages to utilize the "page" utility and make viewing instructions more user friendly. I can think of one way, which requires 2 steps:1. Include the pdf in the PVZ zip file2. Edit the structure .pvs fileHowever, the pvs file, when open in notepad, contains pdf file names and some uncommon ASCII characters, which make barely any sense. Not only that, but when I just open the file and save it without any actual edits, I get an error when trying to open the PVZ file in Creo View. Is there any other way or any specific editor for PVS files I could use to achieve my goal? EDIT:I've got this weird thing where I find a solution to my problems as soon as I post a question... Solution - just open the pvz file in Creo View -> File -> Add Viewables to Session -> Save all
Let's say I brought a model into a manufacturing assembly. And, since I wasn't paying proper attention, it was just brought in as a "regular" assembled part. Now, realizing the error of my ways, I want to reclassify that part not as just a dumb component, but as a reference model. This would seem to be simple enough, There's an actual "Classify" button. But, every time I've ever tried that button, the message is always "This component cannot be reclassified". So, a simple question, what use is the Classify functionality? It never does anything for me. Is there some esoteric situation where it is actually useful? I can't just redo assembly of the model, because I've got a lot of toolpaths that already use it.
Hi,is possible launch creo parametric at a specific location on the screen?I use windows_scale 0.5 and the window moves to the top left.I would like to open more at the top right, down left & down right. Thanks
Hello all, we´re trying to find a smooth way to share and update an illustrate standard maintained via the Administration tool to several users. Is there a nice (and possibly native) way how to do?I can also imagine something within sharing the standard via Windchill Question is related to Illustrate 9 &10 Similar question was already raised here , but not about the sharing / updating of an standard
