CAD

As you know, when we open a CAD file in Creo, we have the option to preview the file in a separate window. This window shows the File type menu, file name details and preview. I'm wondering if it's possible to display the attribute details on the same window as the preview. This would make it easier to see the attribute details without having to switch windows. Example: File open… Browse Manikin Library ..  No need to openOn a second preview window, it shows few attribute details along with the assembly's name.It displays Gender, Country and percentile I would appreciate any help you can provide with this.   

I'm somewhat new to creo and am using the student version. Me and some friends are working on a project and I've been sent parts and was asked to find the creo version that they were made on. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.    

I have a generic model with hole feature and has some instances. In one of the instance the feature is set to NO while others have set to Yes. The distance from edge to the centre of hole is added as feature in generic and is part of the family table. Now for the instance where the hole is not there the dimension is displayed from the generic model.. If the dimension for the particular instance is not available then it should be set to dash or left blank . How to solve the issue? 

How to define amount of points on the beam so i can plot better graphs.All my attempts failed because i have only 5 points on beam and don't know how to increase the amount of points with which creo works. I was using graphing tool from simulate results and it didn't allow me to create or interpolate thru existing points. (better way to do it woulde be to create actual points in mesh with which creo will calculate actual simulation)But how to do it? 

When you install and run Creo 9.0.5, the Creo window appears briefly and then immediately forces the shutdown. The 10 and 3 versions run well, but only Creo 9.0 versions get this error. I don't know what kind of error it is. Running with administrator privileges in 9.0.5 will cause it to run. The license type is Floating.It doesn't give any error message and it just closes immediately.

I am trying to simulate a fluid using to cool a component. Simulate Live fluid analysis reports a constant temperature. Just to try to get any kind of response I applied a 20kw heat load over an area in an internal flow and I can't get the temperature of the fluid to rise at all.   Is Live fluid sim capable of telling you the temp of a solid surface by simulating convection cooling?   I'm using Creo 7

Hi I am a new user and running into an issue.  I defined a variable outside the solve block and in the solve block set up odesolve with the function in the ODE.  However, I get an error in the solve block saying variable not recognized.  Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

I have installed P9 along side P8.  Some things to note: P9 is not downwards compatible.  I inadvertently saved a sheet in P9 and could not open is P8.  You can copy and paste but only parts.  This should have been made clear in my opinion.P9 HTML help is now PTC web based.  This is of no use if you do not have internet connection or working in a controlled environment. I think this is a poor approach.  the user should be given the option at installation.AnimationThere is some silly plot animation that was installed.  I honestly have no idea what to do with this.If this is an emulation of MCAD animation, this falls very short.Some explanations at the installation would be valuable.Other than that, its the same software as P8 with all its resident deficiencies such as plotting, searching etc. etc. Regards,

In Creo 8.0 part mode, when attempting to go into a dimension to add a tolerance, the entire tolerance section is grayed out.  Is there a setting that needs to be changed to enable it?  Did not have this issue occur in Creo 6.0.  

Hello, I've seen this question asked previously but wanted to get some additional confirmation. We are planning to update our license file to allow Prime v9 to be deployed to our users. Will the updated license file for v9 still allow Prime v8 to run? Or will that run on Express mode and not have access to our license?

Does anyone know why creo hangs when I'm using  full asynchronous mode example (Creo Object Toolkit C++)? I choose to start creo with graphic-display in full asynchronous mode.I have tried different solution like check the PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE Path.But I'm not sure if the PRO_DIRECTORY is in Common_Files location.Hope somebody help me with this dilemma.Thank you very much! 

there is a problem in finding the solution of the equation in given below due to change in change in value caused by unit tonnes automatically gets converted to Kg. 

Hello All, I am trying to generate a 3-D plot for a function. I am having the following issue.  Please help.  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I am trying to create a schematic sketch using the external merge feature, and it is appearing purple for some reason. I have other external merge sketches that are the normal blue color, and I can't find a setting to modify this. Please advise how to change this.

Have any organizations come up with a unified "Technical Data Package" that Following guidance from 14.41, 14.47 and MIL-STD31000B ?   It would be interesting to see how companies are formulating their data packages to use both internal to your org and externally, and what data comes from ERP, PLM, and CAD (And how you handle propagating notes from CAD to PLM)     EDIT: I am not looking for an answer necessarily, more of a discussion      

I've done a first time install 3 times now and Creo 7.0.4.0 will open.  You can change the options and look around the interface, but if you open a part file or try to start a part file it hard crashes.  There is no dialog box and no error messages.  It just disappears.  It reopens normally, but then dies again if you try to open or start a part file.

When creating offset lines/ exploded lines for exploded assemblies with Creo 7.0.2.0 inside Windchill, the line upon creation appears for a split second and then disappears. It doesn't appear inside the assembly nor any drawings created from the assembly. In the Model Tree, an Offset Line is created but doesn't have any adjustable settings to make it appear. I've adjusted virtually every setting and config and researched the problem as well to no avail.Something to note is that this is all being done inside Windchill where the errors are occurring, When the file is taken offline with the same exact config file and settings, and I recreate the same process of putting offset lines for the exploded view, they appear.  I assume this means there's some adjustable setting that I'm missing inside Windchill but again I'm not sure. 

How can I export the views that I have created in Creo4 via the view manager to a Creo View file?
