My workflow in MathCAD has evolved over the years since Prime 3.5. Prior to Prime 6-ish, I figured out that the best way to organize a sheet is to create text fields, and then create math fields in that text field so that my math is in line with my text. This gets around a few bugs with editing. Anyways, I discovered a bug a while back and expected it to be fixed by Prime 9, but I downloaded Prime 9 and it is still not fixed. Here it is: When working in a text field, if I copy some math and text and then paste it in a text field below it, the math doesn't paste. Above is an example of this bug in action. Everything you see below is math and text in the same text field. Is there a patch, or does anyone know a better way to work around the bugs in MathCAD Prime and still use all of the latest features? I don't want to downgrade to Prime 5 because all of my best worksheets are saved in higher versions.
I have created a fastener in an assembly and ran the static analysis. I got the output of the shear force and Axial force as follows. Fastener1_axial_stress: 3.026563e+03 Fastener1_bending_moment: 8.841788e+06 Fastener1_bending_stress: 6.871864e+03 Fastener1_shear_force: 1.125990e+05 Fastener1_shear_stress: 2.579097e+02 Fastener1_torsion_moment: 7.846665e+02 Fastener1_torsion_stress: 3.049226e-01Fastener shear force value I want to know which plane force is that. If we do beam or spring approach we get the Shear in Plane 1 and Plane 2. But here shear force on the fastener is only one value. How to understand this ?
Is there a way to set default sketcher preferences for drawings? I want it to automatically allow horizontal/vertical snapping. I could not find any options for it. I found an article from 2016 about this stating that it was not a functionality of Creo Parametric, but was "reported as a product idea." That's the only information I can seem to find. It does not appear they ever did anything with this. Currently using Creo Parametric 7.0.5.0. Article: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS69992
If I open a MBD model in Creo view, is there a way to have the note text for a flagnote pop up when it is clicked on? This is something I have seen done on 3D PDFs.
So we just installed Creoview 9 last week. (Just saw the patch notes for 10) Well the patch notes confirmed my spatial searches were messed up. I work with some very large assemblies and usually convert them to PVZ to manuplate them and chop them up on my computer for faster processing and load times. So I was attempting to do that yesterday and today and the largest file it can make now is around 4.2 Gig and then after that size is reached it just red stops all other parts from being able to load and has that little red dot by the part name. If I create another file with the missing parts and load them seperately in a creo view it works, But when i try to create another PVZ file from multiple viewables that file then fails to load due to some zip file message and is completely useless all together. Will try to load 10, but if I have the same issues is there an older archive of creoviews to download?
Hi, I'm looking to make Ref as qty for the part number by using repeat region or relations in parametric table - in the following below cases. 1. Standalone 2 different assemblies in one parametric table 2.Fig assemblies consist of 2 or more instance assembly in one parametric table. Please respond if you find a solution.
Is there any documentation on the syntax for *.PSF and *.PRO file (eg: syntax for comment out line, etc) ? For PSF file, i always under the assumption that // is used to comment out a line. However, i notice that if i change the first line // PTC - PSF file: parametric to something like // PTC - PSF file: parametric2, the PSF file will no longer work.
I have a problem in Mathcad. As the picture shown, it always says "This function requires at least 4 arguments but it applied to 1". Can anyone help me? Thank you
Hi, I am trying to fix this regeneration issue where a copied geometry from a skeleton is to be solidified. This is what I am getting:What could the solution to fix this?
Our drawings have as a standard drawing view boundary type set to "circle". See below. Our old drawings are like below. Does anyone know how we can make the circle display like this in phantom line style? This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi.... While importing any neutral format parts (parasolid, stp, igs etc.. ) i am facing an issue import validation failure and my part file converted as a solid file. Why the creo can't heal the surfaces automatically. and even i create a step file by creo and again i tried to open that file in the same creo software but i am facing the same issue. Note: Already the part is accepted as a solid part by creo but i try to save as a step and tried to open again in the same part in the same creo. Why it converted as error surface body?? Please give me a proper solution for this. I spent a lot of time on repairing the file by IDD but i Cant Please give any automatic solution if have. Thankyou Ramaniedharan RDesigner-Plastic
Hi all I have created a set of Datum Points in Creo. In my case there are 28 points, from P0 to P27. Those points have been imported from a .pts file.Originally, there were 28 points from an xls file, which i copy pasted in a .txt file, I renamed that file to .pts and imported as shown in the screenshot. So in Creo i got a single feature (Datum point id 66) that has all those datum points. What I want to do now.I want to link those points in mathcad. Ideally would be a matrix with 28 rows and 3 colums. The 3 columns should be x, y z.Or 4 columns (the first would be the label column P0 etc..). What I am doing at this moment.I copy paste directly the coords from xls file to mathcad. Mathcad creates a table where i can label the columns and i can manipulate easily the data from that table to my calculations. Obviously there is not any input from Creo. My question is.Is any way to import the table with the coordinates of the 28 points from Creo to Mathcad as a tab

Hello, I am attempting to add the "use_inverted_mousewheel_zoom" to my config.pro file in Creo Parametric 4.0. To do so I click, "add" then find that option and press ok. It appears in my config.pro file with a star next to it. When I close out of my config.pro and open it again, the addition disappears. I found from a different article that the star is config.pro saying "Newly added option and not applied". How do I go about saving the addition to my config.pro or rather, how do I apply the change? Picture linked below.
Hi........ While importing the step of large assembly i see this error, then my creo closed completely what is the meaning of this error? Plz Help .... Ramaniedharan R
Does anyone have any good experiences using the "Find/Search" function within Creo Drawing?I'm currently trying to use it and I realize it sucks pretty bad. I'm thinking it must of been designed by Microsoft.Anyway, I've got a drawing with multiple sheets of tables on it and I'm trying to do a "text" search to find specific things within those sheets of tables but to no avail. See attachment. -CR
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.1.0Having some issues making a new drawing format. I've finished it but don't know how to export and make it ready for use since I can't find it when I try to open it when creating a drawing. Also having some issues getting a logo into the drawing format, gives me an error with DXF, and it seems the log hasn't been created. Here are the errors that I facedInvalid DXF file. See file dxf_errs.log.
Creo 8.0.1.0 version. I am looking for a way to automate every step in the generation of the mass report in Creo. Ideally an external script would communicate with Creo to obtain available workspaces which I then select along with the assembly file and Simple Rep I would like to chose. The script would then generate the mass report and then the user grabs the output. I have a working Mapkey that does the mass report steps but the interrogation of the data in Creo to be used by an external script is something that I have not tried to do and have seen little to no documentation.
Hello, I am trying to merge two quilts ( quilts are defined fully and are not merged prior). But I keep getting the regen error regardless of direction and sequence of quilts. When I compare it with original model, the arrow (highlighted in blue) is at the bottom of quilt instead on the side. Does this affect the merging of quilts? How can I change the location of arrows to the bottom of the quilt if that helps? Any other feedbacks are highly appreciated.
Hi all!I have a question...Is possible to simulate a "reciprocating rack and pinion mechanism" usin Creo Mechanism?Something likek this Thanks in advanceStefano
Hello.Currently, I'm trying to insert inside my Creo Mechanism Analysis the effects of lateral wind. For this I would like to use a force so I can easily turn on and off for each analysis.Would be nice to have it calculated using the cross-sectional area of the component multiplied by a constant Q (N/mm²).How can I make available this measure of area (mm²) to the User Defined variables list?
Can anyone tell me how I can Export the parameter table in .xml format? I only have the option for .csv and .txt. I know you can export to .xml because I have done it before, but now the option is not available.
we are using Creo 6.0.6.0 and Windchill 11.0 M030-CPS16seeing issues with server status on "locked files" - Creo server status shows "modified in session"issue with lost symbol - PTC_COMMON_NAME in component (part) relation TITLE=PTC_COMMON_NAMEassy feature info. shows lost symbolpart file info. shows no issues any ideas why this might be happeningthanks,Rich
