Hello all, as I have learned here in the forum 😀, and which also works very well 👍, if I want to show only a small area of a model, I proceed as follows: 1. I define a 3D page and place the model next to it. Then I create a detail that I place on the 3D page. I hide the connecting line. My problem now: I want to show an enlargement (detail) of this section. 2. I can now show a detail, but the detail aerea is on the model next to my page. 3. when I move the detail area to my detail, it is empty. Question: Is it possible to create a detail view of a detail view? If so, how? Thanks and best regardsRamon.
Hello,I am here trying to differentiate between edges which are hidden in specific drawing views.I have all edges of model but don't know to differentiate between hidden and edges which shown in drawing view.
I am working with Creo 8 and mainly do modeling of assemblies. My current workflow consists of me making a blank part. Normally a basic cube. Then importing that into an existing assembly and making assembly cuts to get the geometry references. I then use those in the modeling environment as relations to drive my sketches and modeling. I find that this workflow is very clunky and requires me to go back and forth repeatedly to get it right. Is there a better way of doing this where I can import only the geometry/references I want as sketches then model off of that? Any help would be much appreciated.
A follow up to a previous discussion I had on this subject. https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/quot-Printing-PDF-quot-s-vs-quot-Save-As-quot-pdf-which-is/m-p/812544 I just switched to Creo 9.0.4.0 When I go to print my pdf the following is what used to happen and what is happening now. Creo 4.0 - in the name bar for the pdf "Filename.pdf" Creo 9.0.4.0 - in the name bar "Creo Parametric - Filename.pdf" Why is the "Creo Parametric - " added to the filename when I am printing a .pdf Thanks, Dale
I am learning Creo 9 and are trying to make a BOM list with balloons to the assembly. However, I am unable to add balloons. I press on create balloons - all, and nothing happens. No error message and no balloons! I attach a picture. Also i would like to show the exploded lines that I have created. they are visible when the assy is shaded but not in wireframe. Is it possible?
Hello to everybody. I am a user of MATHCAD Prime 8.0I defined a matrix as a result of computations performed in my code, where three columns have been filled with frequency (in Hz or sec-1), and the real and imaginary part of a wave-vector (k' and k'') and several lines (801).I was firstly surprised to see that if I define each column in a loop I receive back the notification that the variable has been "re-defined". The loop is below, with green-circled matrix element that receive this commentIn spite of this, the matrix is correctly filled, as I check by using the statement "K=".On the other hand, when I try to save data in a file, I tried to use both "WRITETEXT" and "WRITEFILE", but the result is that the "K" matrix has no compatibility because of the units (see below) Now, the three columns have different physical dimensions, but they are correctly defined and I already used this statement in past releases (MATHCAD 15, before the PRIME) without any negative comment.Do you
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150unable to see structural elements in Frameworks when trying to create a new frame assemblyattaching screen shot for your referenceHere are the errors that I facedelement definition is blank. could not select the required structural element
Hello everyone, Here I need a little help in adding gride to the drawing in MathCAD prime . If anyone can help me out I will be really thankful.
Both inputs are define and their values are shown below. Requesting a solution to this error.
I need to add a floating license during the running of the TOOLKIT program, because this license must be used during the running process, and the addition of this floating license will be canceled at the end of the running. Does anyone know how to do this? MACRO cannot be used. PTC does not seem to provide such a method or function in the toolkit and object toolkit. If anyone knows, please let me know, thank you.If there is really no such method, ask PTC to add the function of adding and canceling floating licenses to the API
Please refer the attached screen shot, license file is not recognized while installation / re configuration. this issue appeared in already installed one (CREO 8.0). when try to re-configure, it is not recognized (it does not show "available" message when pulling license file from saved location. sometimes dialog box closes when pulling the license during configuration. my contact : amutha.m@ptpa.ae
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.2.0The Creo Search does not show fields and buttons ... the display is blank, not allowing a Search to be performed. Windchill search is used and works, thus that is a work-around. But would still like to determine the cause of this issue.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.3.0Attempting to save as a Creo model with a couple annotations as a step file using AP242. When I do this and bring the step file back into Creo, I am not getting the annotations included in the step file. Not sure what I need to do to create and then import a step file that maintains annotations. Here are the errors that I facedn/a
Can someone please help me to define the tensile strength and yield point in creo? I've already tried it in the attachment, maybe someone here knows more about it and can help me... Vielen dank:)
How do I measure distance tangential distance between these two surfaces? I am trying to do this in STEP assmebly.
Hi all, As the subject suggests, I have a problem with the explode lines being hidden in drawing view. They can be seen as offset lines in the assembly. The only layer hidden in the drawing is 03___PRT_ALL_CURVES. When I try showing this, the hidden lines still do not show up. Any help with this would be much appreciate. Thank you!
I need a support to get some information on Creo pro-programing as I'm working on this topic for one of the projects to change the model according to new design specification up on regeneration which will run by the program. As of now, I have made the program using parameter relations which will create the required models based on the parameter's entry as per the design specifications and it is working well. The program is written in such a way that it will pop up the error message window if we enter wrong or incorrect values as inputs but after that it will ask for to continue regeneration or abort the changes as in the attached snap. If we give yes to continue regeneration, still program could be able to create model with incorrect parameter values. But can we restrict this regeneration or set user defined error message saying that the entered values are incorrect please try to enter correct input values blah blah ……?
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/AHello,can you help me to change .CRC files location path?I know TRAIL files and else can change the location.I try to find the option command. But I can't.I will look forward to your response.
One of our engineers has placed many views outside the drawing borders to pull detail and section views from. I am saying it is a bad drafting practice but he insists he has valid reasons to do so, I would like to hear the opinion of others who do large drawings. This is a plant layout design and has about 10 sheets to the file.
Hello Community, If I open an assembly from Windchill in Creo View and add annotations and/or save annotation sets to the assembly: Will the engineer see these annotations/sets in his Creo Parametric when he continues to work on the assembly? RegardsDavid
I have tried several times to have the link emailed to me to download the free version of Mathcad but I am not receiving the email. I have checked the spam folders and there is no email.
Whenever I drag a handle for a 3D feature (extrude, revolve, etc.) it snaps to some fixed increments, rather than allowing me to smoothly and continuously drag it. Surely there is an option to disable this snapping, right? The only workaround I've found is to set the interval values to very small numbers, but surely there is an "OFF" switch for this snapping behavior, right? Workaround: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/draging-extrusion-only-allow-0-100-increments/m-p/226354

Dears, I´m using with great success the Coolprop wrapper, but one challenging task is to form the "mixture" string. Air for instance must be written as: "O2[0.21]&N2[0.79]" When working with complex mixtures, like up to 10 components, my idea was to use a table and extract a "concat" function from the table. All good doing it the hard way:(...)Problem: if I add or remove one of the 10 components from the table, maybe for a simpler composition, then the formula for "mixture" would fail. Solution: maybe write a program? But don´t even know how to start. Any help would be great. Best regards, Fred.
